Stocking Up For The Apocalypse: Goody's Perpetual Grow By The Beach 2020

The PL has about a month left and is looking pretty sweet, besides the Ca deficiency that I think I am past now. Still at 3g/G MC.

And the WC is starting to climb and getting lots of new bud sites- still at 4g/G but about to go up a notch

Happy Friday everyone!

Nothing better than some Lemonade with your Cheesecake. They both look delicious! :thumb:
Thank ya sir.
Not sure what’s up with the leaves on that PL. Last time I overfed and crisped it. This time I fed less than half and it still doesn’t agree with it. Could be partially a pH issue? but it seems like another Ca deficiency (there’s no insects, the spotting is ugly though) and almost look like too much K. Seems to be a trend with my water and MC.
This is just a fussy plant. I think it’s going to finish fine regardless, but I’d still like to nail down that issue, whatever it is.
Glad you could stop by, have a great weekend!

My lights are the extremely “budget friendly” $89 Oneo 1000w Equiv (Actual 220w) in each tent, and in the 2x3x5 I have a second 1000w light by Bloomspect (180w actual) that I use during flowering.
I have shifted to using only tap water. I add 7 drops/G of citric acid ph down and it brings the pH to around 6.5-6.7, seems to do well all the way through.
For all of these plants I am using G&B organics Blue Ribbon Blend potting soil, which has been fantastic (and easy to get) for me- and I am recently starting to use ProMix for my seedlings.
My nutrient line up is fairly simple- MEGACROP, Sweet Candy, Terpinator, Silica Blast (all used fairly close to mfg recommendations unless the plant says NO or begs for more) and mosquito bits for gnats.
OK let's see if we can try and make sense of what might be happening. The bolded items above, are those still true? I'm assuming you have added no other supplements except the Silica.

Yes basically- EDIT I don’t add as much acid now (on advice of several people not to worry about pH) But yes that is the final plant in the G&B soil (I have ProMix now) I have it under that cheap light (the Oneo) but the food is currently 3g/G MegaCrop, 1ml/G CalMag, and 1ml/G purpinator.
Started adding the CalMag 3 waterings ago. The soil has mosquito bits blended in and no gnat problems.

I seen this earlier but it never stuck out 'til now. Were you ever higher than 3g/gal?
This plant I am doing an experiment according to breeder recommendation and feeding “little or no food” and have never gone over 3. That’s why I figured adding those 2 supplements may give me the results I wanted without increasing food. Not all of my experiments work ;)

Hey, nothing wrong with experimenting, as long as we learn. How many weeks you think you have left on her?
Supposed to have around 30 days left, it’s worded funny and says 55-60 days flowering but it’s an auto and that may mean 55-60 days total- I’m taking it as around 75-80 days total. So still at least 2-3 weeks going by pistils and trichomes anyway.
What would you try? Feed more, or feed less?

That's why I was asking how much time you had left. If you said a week, I'd ride it out. With 30 days roughly, I say get her off the weight loss program and make that girl a fat singer in the end. You need to be at least 5g with nothing else added. I'd say 5.5g but let's not go crazy.

Ya I don’t have to worry about frying the leaves lol, let’s feed this purple lady. :meatballs:

lol, I think you'll find the def should slow down or stop altogether. She's already fat so there's no problem getting to 5.5g whenever you want.

She’s pretty but she could use some fattening up, I like my ladies a little thicker anyway ;)

Hey @MrSauga here’s another small thing to ponder.
I have been spraying an isolated branch down low with CS to try to get pollen- which didn’t work because I started too late. BUT the leaves in that area, though I know I have to throw them out, are the healthiest on the plant. Nice rich green without a spot or problem in sight.
I wonder why they look so good while the rest are struggling to stay green...any idea?

I don't know much about CS, other than the silver ions inhibit the ethylene production needed by the plant to produce female flowers. Maybe that has something to do with it. @Pennywise is a lot more familiar with it and he may be able to add his .02.
