Stocking Up For The Apocalypse: Goody's Perpetual Grow By The Beach 2020

Nice yield on the Dr.S ! :welldone:
The 3 GelatOGs, all with their own personalities
I finally smoked some of my semi-cured Gelat.og last night- I wasn't expecting much , since the tester I smoked a few weeks ago didn't do much for me- I must of just picked a bad one for the tester, because the shit I smoked last night got me high af- took about ten minutes to kick in, so of course, I initially thought it was crap...
But it ended up being a very nice ,relaxing and long lasting buzz- not at all what I was expecting after the tester was so bad.
Tastes pretty good too, for only being about halfway cured...

It's a treat for the eyes looking through this journal. Great stuff. Interesting info on the CBD harvest time too. Glad I got that as I'd read somewhere recently on the strain I'm doing to let it go longer. Of course I can't remember where I read that now.

Thanks it’s fun to share the experiences! I’m glad so many people are having a look around, you never know where you’re going to see the advice that saves you a headache. This place is great for that.

I did the backbuilding on this GelatOG about 5 days ago. I like to do it about 2 weeks before the plant is done, while it’s still shooting out white pistils that will never find what they seek.
These autos do a ton of bulking right at this time and I like the result I get from this process. Some people do it a bit earlier but this has brought me some nice results.

But this clone of hers is growing au natural, no topping, no training, no backbuilding. She’s kind of a unique experiment, so I just want to let her do her thing. So far the result is extreme resin production and flowers that have irregular shapes and are going to be all kind of chunky and funky.

Very curious about the backbuilding technique! Might have to try it out on one or two colas when the time is right for my plant!

GelatOG and her clone are both looking fab :thumb:
Make sure you do it on the tallest ones- The idea being that the plant either thinks it’s being eaten, or running into a ceiling, so it tells the bud to build closer to the base rather than grow any higher.

So I was at a spot where I had to make a decision today. The turtle boat plant has been living off the fish emulsion etc in the boat, but today the boat needed to be cleaned. With the plant already having a bit of a struggle flowering without a little help from the MegaCrop fairy, I’m just not sure it will get what it needs with clean new water. So I fashioned another container for the root mass to sit in (plastic coffee container this time) and put in what all the other flowering plants are getting (MC + supplements) inside. It’s getting really nice little flowers and I really want to see it finish, not fail from lack of nutrition.

I tell you that turtle boat coffee plant looks great!
The plant was yellowing fast the past few days, and with the MC added, it's quickly (24 hours) back to looking a healthy green. Hopefully it can get what it needs to finish, I always worry when we get to this time of year and there's only a few weeks of good sun left. For now it's still a fun little experiment, and another example of how this weed will grow in almost anything.

Well it must be trim day

On this WCC dry, I started with hanging but then decided on fridge drying once I had the right method.
A couple things I noticed-
A LOT more visible resin than when I’m done with my normal hang drying.
Easier to control because the constant humidity level takes the weigh down very evenly, without fluctuations. I weighed the bags every day and watched until they basically stopped losing weight (lost 2 grams in the past day)
No worry about bugs, dog hair, or even smell.
Possibly just the variety, but the flowers seemed to stay more compact rather than fluffing up.

So-
Wet semi trimmed Weight 944 G

Dry trimmed Weight ended up being
222 G (7.92 oz) or about 23.5% of the original.

I can live with that. It’s my biggest auto harvest so far, and about 2 oz more than I was expecting anyway.
Time to roll one up with all these little orange hairs and relax.
I really want to wait to taste the rest of it because this is my first time fridge drying, and I’m told I’ll never go back. So far I’m impressed, looking forward to the cure.

Great job on that one!:bravo:
Hopefully, that WCC of mine takes after her big sister!

I know it will!
This thing shed a crazy amount of hair- hard to tell from the pic but it’s a pretty golden light orange. The smell is back now that it’s out of the fridge. It’s good.
You’re gonna like that fridge drying, and it seems like a good way to go for me. My DrS is in there now too and looking awesome. Still need to hit that 8 oz mark, I wonder if the next one (GelatOG) might do it. I did make the one seed into 3 plants so can I count all the weight ?

Nicely done Goody!
Thanks Mr S, and thanks with the fridge drying help. Looks like we have a winner there. You’d think a guy who’s been growing weed as long as me would have tried that at least once by now, but it wasn’t even on my radar until a few months ago.

A little night glamour shot of these fine ladies.
#1 is due to be done Tuesday, so she’s enjoying her last few waterings tomorrow and Saturday, then I like to let them really dry out before chop.
