This community is making a huge impact on my life. I am permanently disfigured and disabled with no chance of ever receiving benefits or working at a physically demanding job again.
I have been blessed to grow my own medicine and now for others too.

Amazing.

These people should be recognized for their kindness and generosity. Alas, some don't want recognition.
But let it be known.
You are truly TRULY making a difference.

Thanks Snid and anyone else who has this gift of giving in their green hearts.

Mornin brother I'm sure your way beyond this but some of us still aren't able to afford the digital testers lol I found this educating myself on the web thought maybe you or someone visiting your journal may find it useful

Ohioboy can't stop

Great info to share Ohio boy, could be very useful. I am going to guess that possibly someone from the USA made this, I don't recognize any of these brands from Canada. Supermarket water maybe, and we have water made by nestle but not the same ones.

The other thing I happened to notice that differs from my RO water was that this info shows a pH of 4.5 .. the RO water without minerals that I get has a pH value of about 6 but I use drop testers to test so it's not spot on. I use the RO water with my notes as they work better together than with my crappy tap water pH of 7.

Just thought I would add that in there for the Canadians that read this since there could possibly be some differences. Great read though +reps!!

Lol, no big deal?? Maybe not in your eyes my friend, but to many of the people that stop by your journal and will see this, it means a ton! These are the sorts of things we need to see in the world, whether you needed those nutrients or not or even if you could have gotten them, it's the kindness and generosity that all of us keep seeing from you Snid that makes a whole world of difference around here. There needs to be more people like you around :) Like ohioboy said, you have a good soul, we all see it every day here.
Thank you from deep down inside brother. It is truly a great community, I wouldn't have thought of the impact I would have when I first Started posting. It all comes full circle, I've never been happier and mellow in life... This little grow family is the @#&$.:circle-of-love:

It's my humble honour to have to ability to help a brother out. I've been blessed by this community and it's only fair that the karma is repaid. It warms my heart to hear that (my 420 hero) sweet sue helped you out. It only reaffirms that she is one special lady. Thanks for sharing Jacob, :Namaste:

Thanks ohioboy, I'm know that's going to help someone down the road. A very good find, keep on researching there's always more out there. It's got down to 2°c here last few nights... Not good for outdoor growers around here.

Definitely rep worthy, good info for sure, Canadian standard are bound to be different. But who knows...

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, been busy with opening weekend for duck hunting. Full update upcoming tonight, don't miss it... And don't miss the presidential debate and watch Donald Trump mop the floor with "crooked" Hillary. :thumb:

I have a hard time believing that chart. I do not believe that any distilled or purified water has the same level of acidity as Pellegrino or Perrier, which are carbonated. Carbonation adds CO2, which turns into H2CO3 or carbonic acid. No way is reverse osmosis water pH 4.5, either.

September 26th, Daily Update

Been really busy these last few days with some duck hunting. Much like camping, I'm in my own paradise sitting in the middle of a swamp waiting and listening to the sounds of nature. Only difference is a quick surge of adrenaline and loud ass boom. Can't wait to try my new found recipe, pineapple mango duck breasts.

But enough of the senseless killing of poor defenceless ducks, let's focus on the ladies in green. They've been well cared for although I've been away. A few feedings and some training for the younglings but nothing special to report.

Harvest dry weights for Tutankhamen was 91.4g and the total combined dry weights of Ella and Bella 89.2g. I'm estimating Explosia will give me at least 2.5oz bringing the total harvest weight to an approximate 1/2lbs. :yahoo: so depending on how many watts the Gs600 actually consumes, that's about a gram per Watt. Is that on par?

Hailey is finally starting to make thicker buds up top, I've been gradually picking out popcorn shoots. Her skirt is up real high now, it's over a foot of wasted space. I can't believe how much she stretched, she just kept going. Bailey is more like Jawsephine was, although her buds are not as tightly packed. Crystal is nearing her flush, not too many white pistils popping out. My Microscope needs batteries, so trichomes have not been checked. Debbie is also not far from completion, she has made some fat buds in a very short amount of time. And so they ever smell good.

Explosia is within a few days of going dark. Last trichome check was about 10% mids about a week ago. Marylou is following the standard mold, training is going perfectly for her. Not so much the case with Felicity. Her break in one of the top growth tips has resulted in uneven growth. This might be my opportunity to take a clone. I've elevated this limb to accelerate growth in order to do so. Maude is looking much like my last Bubblegum plant, great symmetry but slow going. Marge (the corkscrew project) is doing OK under the ridiculous conditions under which she is under. It will be a long and tenuous journey of manipulation and bondage. But she will be a strong Jedi in the end.

Thanks for all your kindness folks:thanks:it's been a few days since an update, but I don't go a day without checking in on the many journals you all provide.

It's not a big deal, I was planning on sending it to someone in the US if I ever one any of contests. No sense in them being unclaimed...right? I've got more nutes than I need already, glad to make someone smile. I've seen ohioboy struggle from the gutter (no offense), camping in the backyard for his girls. The dedication this guy has for growing green is incredible. Now ohioboy is indoors and out, and has made huge strides in perfecting his grows. Talk about inspirational, I'm just a dude with little :green_heart: that just wants the world to be greener.
Thanks Dick, all the best to you ohioboy.

Love your new Octopus bong, loved the update with all the budz, loved your prize pack, loved every page of your journal. You're just an amazing person, glad to know you buuud!

Cleopatra and Crystal really packed a punch!

Amen brother, you said it. I'm doing my part and will continue to do so. As a matter of fact I spent the last two evenings subbing up to several dozen more journals. I'm doubling down buddy..:circle-of-love:.:420:fam

love it!! how do I subscribe? im new here.

That atomic bomb is the corkscrew challenge contender, if all goes well it just might be in the runnings one day. As for my regular looking plants, I don't think I'll be nominating anything to win again for while. I've got my potm title, unless I grow something more beautiful than Leialoha or unique like this Marge of mine.
You've been a steadfast supporter of mine from the beginning, and it makes me happy to see that your no longer a noob. Hence why I called you 4x4grow from the start, you made your mark I no time at all. Cheers brother :circle-of-love:

Sni mate u fancy test growing some free beans;) look on my current grow for info mate.if interested inbox me.i know u grow great plants;)
That's a swell gesture Beast, unfortunately I've got so many strains already picked out to grow. Next up is skywalker Kush, and a variety of Dr.krippling mainly Kripple Shock. I've got more seeds than I now what do with, well I do know what to do with them, just going to take me a while. I might get snagged up on a skywalker Kush binge. I'm hoping to breed at least one male or make feminized with CS. As for autos I'll only be throwing them in when there's room. Thanks for thinking of me brother, I appreciate it. :circle-of-love:

I've altered the tent configuration now that Explosia has been put in the dark. First fully successful photoperiod grow complete, including my first clones. It's been a good and long 4 months... But we'll worth it.
The smaller mars hydro tent (27"sq) is still going to be the flowering tent using the mars hydro 1200. Currently all my autos are in there still under 19/5 lights. I washed the walls and scrubbed the floor with some bleach laden bathroom soap. I spotted several little bug that seemed like spiders but I didn't see eight legs, I killed them with the bleach I'm sure. So here's how that tent looks...
20160928_155600.jpg

20160928_155618.jpg

Then I also cleaned and "sanitized" the newly renamed, Vegetation tent. The young photoperiods will have a couple more weeks under the Gs600, they've been placed on my little lab table. I've cut down at least 400 watts in the move. But I'm running the big one for 19 hours instead of 12..so it's probably a wash. Anyway here's the vegetation tent currently.
20160928_155340.jpg

20160928_155353.jpg

Thinking while i type here... If I harvest my autos in 20 days or less, I'll then move the photo Into the flower tent. Leaving a full tent empty, my plan is to do 6 or more white Widow autos that I've grown twice now and have had great success with. Amsterdam marijuana Seeds is the breeder/seedbank they are from. They run about 90-100 days, so I should probably start them soon. Like now! So 20 days more is the key... I'll Have the white widows at 3 weeks by the time I flip the photos. Which will replace the current autoflowers. My only concern is Hailey the giraffe... She's not going be ripe at 20 days.

Update tomorrow, harvest on Friday night...

KiG Everyone :green_heart:cheers

Sounds like ya got a good plan on the brain there brother! The tents are looking lovely, clean and green :) Lets see if you can max out them WWA's to more than you did last time! I'm rootin' for ya.

September 29th, Daily Update

Before I start I just want to thank everyone for their support and uplifting comments. I can only say thanks so many times with the click of mouse, I know it counts for something but not like saying outright. So for each of you that has made it this far in my perpetual adventure let this mark the end of my first successful (fully) photoperiod grow. I've gone from bagseeds going hermie, and failing to clone countless times with said plants. Those were also my cfl generation grow cabinet. Then slowly scraping things together I made a go with LEDs, surely I did myself proud with a little help from the grow family. Now I'm through a good dozen autoflower plants with 4 nearing harvest. It's good being green as Kermit would say. It also ain't easy being green either, it's lots of work and time... But you know what makes it easier, eh? It's each and every one of you kind spirited folks that have made an impact on my grow/life. And that folks is what I say thank you for.
:thanks: :thankyou: :thanks:

Now! On with the show, let's check out the new configuration* and see how the ladies are doing today...

Marylou had got a defoliation and her stakes readjusted. I also topped the ends of every main growth tip. I did this after the 3rd horizontal node. Felicity is getting much the same treatment, just a little skewed. I've strapped a wire along her branch to keep it going sideways. If I'm to continue outward any further I'll need to up pot. I'll do this one week before the flip. Maude has a beautiful structure, this Bubblegum strain from Royal Queen is flawless, this is the 2nd I've grown and it's exactly like the first. That's steady genetics! Marge my little corkscrew, is heading back whence she came. Everyone got a feeding today, light nutes with AN root tribe.

Notes ~
Bailey is starting to have dead calyxes against her main stalks. They're single calyxes but this is eerily similar to what Jawsephine did. I can also see it starting on Hailey. is this bad genetics or grower error, I've started removing dead leaves and picking off these dead calyxes, they're very very sticky dead calyxes. I've got Humidity below 50 all the time now so mould is less of an issue I hope. Crystal however is exemplary, I can hardly smell with my head cold, but I can faintly smell her lemony aroma. I'm guessing less than a weak till flush. Debbie is closing in on a harvest date very fast. Pistils have recoiled for the most part, I bought some new batteries for the scope and saw 90%milky 10% clear on Debbie. Let the harvest lineup get in cue.

Thanks for coming by, till next time...

Wonderful training sessions you have going on for the girls snid, those pictures really show you have done it a time or 2 lol. I am thinking that my next 2 seedlings will be trained this way and I will see how each way I trained them all works out and which was easier to work with in general. You're certainly keeping it green in there brother, keep up the great work :)

It's exciting to watch your corkscrew grow from the beginning. I just want to bring my plants over to play with yours hoping they will grow like yours. I'm bound and determined to improve with each grow. BTW, I hope your cold gets better, I'm sniffling here too. You are a such a gifted grower, it doesn't surprise me that you finally won an accolade that you deserve so much. But then you turn around and gift your goodies too. Thank you soooo much for helping me, I will never forget you for it. Thanks to you I have my first full harvest and I'm over the moon even though I'm under the weather. You take great care of yours, and yours take great care of you. Your little soldier...G2HM
PS...I would love all those feathers you get from the ducks, I make stuff with them. No waste with us eh?! 420 Hugs
