Stinky Snid's Nursery & Flower Shop - Welcome To My Perpetual Adventure

Such a great garden you got, stuffed full of healthy looking ladies and a sick looking male. I'm in your boat at the min with a feminised auto that's shown as male (pineapple express from barneys farm).

As I understand it, pollen is viable the moment his flowers open and pollen is released.
Keep it dry, high humidity can wreck it. I'm going to store mine in a small nug jar I have.
I've already started using what little pollen he has dropped.
Hope this helps :passitleft:

April 9th, Daily Update
House cleaning day, two bags of garbage and scrap wood from renos two years ago. Lol. The lab is spotless and even more organized now. Spending so much time outside the tent, I didn't do much with the ladies. Just weighed and recorded each of them.. Let's get to it.

Notes ~ Alani is in need of feeding, but I'm too busy and I'll do it in the morning. The plants are adjusting to the light a little better today. Leaves are perking up and there no signs of tacoing edges.

No feedings today :)

Notes~ I did a little training with Mandy and Renee, just extending her branches outward even more. I like to pull up the small growth on the twins (widows) that is caught in the canopy, I'll pull them to the canopy and perch them on a branch. This basically guides them up instead of whichever way it wants.

Hope your all having a fantastic Saturday...

Since I'm a bit new to your grow I was wondering what the PH stood for on your plants. Garden looks good, plants have great shape and close nodal spacing. Great job

Cheers

Eg: 10.2 lbs @ Ph 5.8
This is my soil conditions... The soil/pot weighed and recorded, then I test the soils Ph. So the Ph is the soils Ph level for that days reading.

It helps me see trends in the swing from acidic to less acidic. (5.5-6.5) this swing allows for different nutrients to be absorbed throughout the wet/dry cycle. Cool?

Pollination report!!!

I pollinated three of my autos today. Alani(white widow), Ariel (deep blue c) and the Tyrone Special. Two budsites on Ariel and one budsite on each the Tyrone and Alani

Method of operation -
1) soak each female down with misted water making sure to drench all budsites except the ones to be pollinated.
2) bring each one at a time into a closet with as little airflow as possible.
3)collect a small Amount of pollen with a q-tip from the plate I placed under my males sacks.
4)carefully bring the q-tip to the closet trying not to blow off any pollen using a glass to keep the breezes away.
5)rub and tap the q-tip against the selected budsites.
6)soak down the plant again with misted water except for pollinated branch
7)dispose in the toilet.
8)let plants dry off before placing back in the tent.

Fingers crossed, hopefully I'll have some auto seeds to test out this summer.

KiG everyone :green_heart: daily update coming up... Cheers

What brand of light is that Snid ? Expensive ?
Didnt read the post properly - i see the brand now but how much ?
For the record... It's a twilight groups led, here's the specs from the website Twilight-group Co. Ltd. Product Page
It's retail $497 usd. But the very kind Jason there offered it up for free... Just pay the shipping costs. Awesome!! :high-five: how could I refuse that deal, eh?
Ahh such a nice sight. Purple gardens. Your LST looks really good. Have a great Sunday! Looking forward to seeing them develop flowers.
Thanks so much Kundal, a great Sunday to you too!

April 10th, Daily Update
Well let's get this started, I still need to get the lab itself cleaned up and organized but I've made my hunter's corner way more accessible and out of the way...and the workshop is clean but needs major tool inventory reorganization. As for the flower shop, my buds are currently drying in the box I made. Relative humidity is 70>58 % :thumb:
I temporarily installed a flexible vent pipe to the drying box. It sucks air from the box into the first tent, I figure drying weed must give off The most smell so that air needs to go. Also as they dry I'm sure they give off some Co2. Lol. Bonus! Let's get to the plants.

Feedings -
Ariel nute mix = will update EC and ppm once fed
>grow@4ml, micro/bloom @6ml, voodoo, b52, bigbud @3ml, budcandy/x factor @4ml,calmag 1 tsp, silicate 1/2 tsp. All in 2 litres of water

Critical x 2.0 nute mix = Ph 6.4 @ 71°f w/ 1.2 EC or 850 ppm
>g/m/b @4ml, voodoo/b52 @3ml, calmag 1/2 tsp, silicate 1/4 tsp. All in 2 litres of water... X 2

Notes ~ pollinated three of them, Trinity is still too young. The musical chair games still going on to give each plant their turn in the new light. The 2 critical will get their initial soaking of nutrient mixes. Kalua smells soooo good! it'smells like grape flavoured pixie dust candy. I wish I had more...tgats a plant I'd like to have in photoperiod strain.

Notes ~ the two smaller photos are really looking good, they like the new light the most in the auto tent. The big twins are both stretching it out, a few full fledged pistils have appeared. :yahoo: let's get this party started
All the stakes within Winnie's inner canopy have been removed, I want to allow the small growth to keep up with the outer rim of big mains.

Thanks for stopping by the Shop, see you all soon... :ciao:

Lots of green in there. Looking good. Interesting that your older plants are higher PH, late flower should drop PH.

Cheers

Mmmm, Kalua is looking really sweet, can almost smell her over here lol. Things are looking great snid, keep up the good work bud! That tyrone special is flowering out to look like a very pretty girl, I certainly like this one. The photos are even filling in beautifully as well, you will have a nice harvest from these ladies for sure!
Best of luck my friend, take care!

I think that was a miss reading... If the probe it dry it doesn't read anything,i should have double taken that measure. Although I'm not really adjusting the Ph of my nute mix, advanced nutrients brings it to right around 6.0 every time. In definitely keeping it green :thumb:
I wish I had a bunch of tents going too ha ha. But all of your work is great and looking great
It's only two Tents...and a seedling area and a makeshift veg area if needed.. Plus soon it will be the great outdoors. Lots of plans for this summer.

Thanks Dick :) the photos are very thick. As soon as buds are forming I'll do some defoliation, but until then let it ride...

April 11th, Daily Update
Back to work Mondays, and back into the after work routine. I'm very excited about the pollination I did yesterday, at the same time, I'm worried I did it wrong and pollinated everything. Only time will tell. This is the days record, enjoy the show.

> grow@3ml, m/B @5ml, b52, bigbud @3ml, budcandy/x factor @4ml, calmag 1 tsp, silicate 1/2 tsp. All in 2 litres of water

Notes ~ I've checked for curled up hair as a sign of pollination, is it too early? Hope I didn't pollinate everything, I need bud to smoke. I detected a deficiency on Alani, I'll need to further diagnose it before doing anything. They all seem to have adjusted to their new Twilight-group Co. Ltd. Led panel.

Notes ~ I keep Tugging the smaller growth tips from within the canopy and keeping the outer tips staked down. This is maintaining an even canopy for Winnie and Ellabella. I've gotten lazy with training now that I've got all the plants to look after. The little photos are just bursting with life.

We'll that's another day down the memory hole...until next time :ciao:

April 12th, Daily Update
I decided to switch up the lights again. After Dennise did some research I saw that my light is only red and white/yellow spectrum for flowering. Therefore I put it in the photoperiod tent. This means the marsII 400 is now in the auto tent. I'll save electricity by having my big light running on 12/12 instead of 19 hours a day. There will be lots of feedings today... I'm dreading the hour long process.
