Yeah I'm just growing a lot of stuff from SoCal but I'm far away :passitleft:

Re: Still Growing- SoCal Hybrids & Mexican & Colombian Sativas Under Sun Natural Syst

Three sativas got outplanted on this hot day. Temps are in the high 80s, humidity is hellish!

Yeah they are "chained" for a good reason, that copper wedlock is all you need agains snails, and they love taste of young cannabis :thumb:

Yeah they'd like to get high, freeloaders ;)

Hey man, welcome to the grow :passitleft:
Well yeah, it's a tiresome hobby but somehow I always end up with some amazing bud like this one :rollit:

Eh I finally smoked some popcorn sample from Grape Ape from last week and although somehow I expected a sativa I got the classic in some more upbeat version but this is due to better sun index than it's usually finished. In SoCal Grape Ape outdoor finishes as early as last week of August or first week of September. It's an indica with an upper kick and West Coast classic. Really good to have my own sativa pheno :smokin2: Today sun temps have been slightly higher, yeah real hot day it broke the 90s in F or 33C in shadow and while I was sweating to get the Colombian and Mexican planted in The Sunny Spot windowsill gals have been sweating the trichomes which started quickly twisting and changing color to dark amber. Grape Dog although I should start calling it Diesel Berry cause it's a weird expression of terpenes she finished with will be put into dark by Friday or Saturday. I never water plants in the end I just gradually dry them up and the same's gonna happen to Grape Ape which today started changing color of trichomes suddenly, so chop chop shortly.

I really love this weed finished by the summer or in the middle of the summer :lot-o-toke::yummy: They are more upbeat buds yeah like I mentioned beforehand. Trichomes production is excellent on Grape Ape, Grape Dog is more leafy, but I'll have to show you this OG Kush, it 2nd week I've noticed that she started producing shitloads of trichomes a lil' bit too much for a normal plant but she just kept going and the tops are just white cause every small sugar leaf is covered in them. There's not gonna be much here in terms of yield but you know how it is I'll take quality over quantity any day :lot-o-toke:

Re: Still Growing- SoCal Hybrids & Mexican & Colombian Sativas Under Sun Natural Syst

Amen to that, as I'm resigned to smoking street crap until my next harvest. Ugh! My current Dark Devil Auto is a tiny thing, less than 11" high, but OMG, she's thick and dense and just covered in trichomes. She's not going to yield much, but she's going to be powerful, from the looks of it. I'll take that.

I'll be interested in seeing what you get out of plants growing in a poor environment, but growing nonetheless. I keep remembering your harvests from last summer. Mmmmmmm.

Re: Still Growing- SoCal Hybrids & Mexican & Colombian Sativas Under Sun Natural Syst

Yieldwise I should be good cause I got a lot of non-accidental OG/Chemdawg + heavy indicas type strains. I'd like to break 2 pounds from a Ultra Dogs without losing the quality and I'm gonna be happy :) Hmmm Aurora Ultra is forced now, and finished in July she's gonna be some powerful smoke, the best indica medicine from the whole bunch, then if the rest survived... but I learnt that it's not the buds I should be worried about but how to transport them back home :laughtwo::tokin:

i love the heart you put into your grow...

the windowsill girls are soooo pretty

Grape Dog is only drying now, maybe tomorrow still one the sun, but then into the darkness for at least 24-36 hrs :smokin2: Grape Ape has few more days to go, cause this bud still builds. Both very quick finishers, but cause GD could've been harvested few days ago, that's a real prime timer, and if the bud's good that just might be the keeper to put more energy into next year. She smells like sweet blackberry ointed in fuel, some spice has also come back, and pistils are turning dead slowly, which is a sure sign of maturation after trichomes check. The plant usually shows you when she's ready, she just doesn't put more weight for at least 2-days. Many ways here really, but cause they're both indicas I can let them enter some amber without fear. I actually need more nighttime medicine now, cause I have only stockpile of sativas left, some Pakistani hash, and some Pure Kush :cheesygrinsmiley::Hookah:

Gawd, you do that so well! :bravo:

Re: Still Growing- SoCal Hybrids & Mexican & Colombian Sativas Under Sun Natural Syst

Very :yummy:

What is about that dark for 24/48hrs ?

I read about it in some breeder advice on some plants.

Re: Still Growing- SoCal Hybrids & Mexican & Colombian Sativas Under Sun Natural Syst

You put the plant in the darkness when you want to finish her naturally, simulate death of the cycle. She starts breaking chlorophyll that way, nicer smoke.

Re: Still Growing- SoCal Hybrids & Mexican & Colombian Sativas Under Sun Natural Syst

Hmm few pics of OG Kush in the first summer heat. Temps in the shadow are up to 35°C or 95°F and RH is around 60%. You start sweating with a lighter physical activity like carrying shopping bag to a car :cheesygrinsmiley: If we're lucky we're not gonna have 110-120F this summer, but 105F for sure. So Grape Dog is in the darkness, and she settled on 12,5 Brix, so not much moving up in flowering. I still have to guess this strain,we'll see. Grape Ape is not finished yet, but in few days will be, suddenly Afghani genetics came through and she started building nice columns white with trichomes, readings vary from branch to branch from 15,5 to 13,5. I gave nice shot of lithothamnium for the end, smell is like bubblegum mango, so sweet you actually think it's a candy. And OG Kush just keeps producing trichomes forming cone-like buds. This is maybe 3rd week, I don't remember. Not so easy strain to grow really I screwed it up last year by germinating too late, and she caught mold being fussy as she is :cheesygrinsmiley: She creates tight nodes of leaf which later fill with pistils, and then she just builds calyxes on the top which gives it a particular look. Under LST I think she produces more buds as well, and doesn't stretch at all like she would normally do.

I was messing a bit with shuuter settings in manual mode, and these are the results :Hookah:

Wow Conradino! Lovely. What a nice way to start the day. :laughtwo::green_heart:

edit: I jumped back and reread and first off, good grief you grow such beautiful plants and openly share so much valuable information that I sometimes have to pace myself.

What I just learned from your beautiful brain was the gradual pullback of the pistils. I'm definitely within days of harvesting my Dark Devil Auto. Thank you for that.

What irony.
