Sticky's Almost Perpetual Grow

Interesting, that's the most broad leaved sativa's i've seen in awhile. My local hybrid landrace has skinnier leaves than that. Same with that purple Malawi posted before. Never seen one ever, even checked with an oldschool grower buddy of mine and he's never heard of that. Wonder if it got really, really cold?

Yo. So a lot of pure landraces can start out looking fat leafed. Definitely most of the Durbans I've grown in the last 20 years start like that. As they progress they thin out. I've found growing through this winter that the leaves are a lot thicker. I'm putting it down to lower light levels , not sure temps will do that although it has made my buds much leafier than autumn flowers. I've also definitely seen a difference to the shape and size of leaves on landrace sativa that I've grown inside under cfls as opposed to outdoor under our great sun. I've had some purple Malawi grow out but it's really not a common pheno. I think of the many I've grown I'd not be able to count a full hand of fingers for purple. The lime green pheno that looks like a string of pearls and has a sweet berry pine scent is my favourite. Also very narrow leafed but they also can start out thicker than a mature sativa leaf. I'm about to drop some more Malawi this eve so when they are up maybe we will get some pics and compare. In my journal ( first in sig) towards the end there are pics of the Durbans looking very thick leafed. When I get a chance I'll take a pic of where they are now and see the difference. The above is just what I've found and my opinion and not backed by any scientific research. I'd love to find some research on it though. Cheers

All Durban land races from seeds collected in the 50's from different areas.

Ok here they are now. They are not in the best condition as they got a little fried by the sun , gnats and the straight up vermicompost transplant. As expected they are now thriving.
The bigger darker one just flowering is two Durban crossed, just a pic of what the fan leaves looked like and how they look now. Different region different leaves very often.

Dubi from Ace said I over fed it, it didn't seem to like nitrogen.

My gorilla glue is the same way, but to be more precise, they don't like ammonium. Nitrate is needed for calcium to move so if the nitrate is lessened, calcium uptake will suffer.

Malawi I find is fussy with regards to nutes. I went slow on the N with the wild lady durban last year and I got caught out. She faded super quickly. Think it's all about the calcium really
