Sticky's Almost Perpetual Grow

That plant in the window is great! There's a few people doing 11/13 for flower as well.

Are you noticing larger & faster bud production with the schedule change for flower?
hows it going bud hey ive changed it to 10/14 its moving rite along now im wanting to get it done quicker im heading out of town in two weeks so I can do this light dep until then put it back outside let finish then snip the buds and let it reveg if it will!:)

This was a topic at the hydro shop today. I'm curious to see the consensus here. FWIW, what I mostly took from that chat was less electricity is consumed, but those ppl were HID users. They did imply more growth occurred, but somehow not more yields. That don't add up.
idk but it makes sense to me that the fast 10/14 flowering would yield a little less imo than the slower 12/12 maybe what they meant by more growth was quicker growth!

So does more/quicker growth translate to sooner finish?

yes I think so a lot of growers will grow sativas at 11/13 or 10/14 to keep stretch down im doing it to finish sooner I don't care about yield I give over half of what I grow away to friends and family members so im not worried about yield I just want the best smoke I can get lol!:)

ive been thinking about this the best way for me to explain it is when you run them at 10/14 they think they have to hurry up and flower it makes them go through the flowering stage quicker it kind of makes sense the plant may have to cut some corners to get the job done in time before winter sets in!:)

That makes sense, but it still makes me think you're saying they finish quicker, lol. Do you go right from veg lights to the 10/14, or do you transition to mimic shorter days in a progression?

they do finish quicker a plant that would finish in 10 weeks at 12/12 would be done sooner at 11/13 or even sooner at 10/14 btw this is the first time doing this for me if I was growing under lights I would shorten the days in 30 min intervals every few days until I get it where I want it im not very good at explaining things I hope this helps!

It definitely helps. Before I got nutty with the nutes, I spent a few years building a hydroponics controller, and though I failed to reach my ultimate goal, I got about 80% of the way which means I could probably have a grow bot assembled and running in a few days if I decided to try it out. If I did do that, I would be able to program it such that the lights run at so many hours on, then reduce the on time each day by whatever factor I want.

that would be cool you could leave town for a few days lol!

That would be nice. I used to have it set up to where I could turn things on and off while monitoring temp and RH from the other side of the internet. Sadly though, the micro controller shit the bed and got stuck in the program which resulted in my lights no longer turning on or off according to the program which hermed my plants right out and I had to keep my whole crop.

ive only left them for two and 3 days at a time while there in veg in soil when there not real big you can water them up real good with some in the tray I can get 3 days out of them no problem I just worry about the lights and I worry about one of the lights catching fire just something to ponder while your gone lol!

ya buddy lol looks good how wet are they your going to like drying it that way cant wait to see what you think!

I did the dip n dunk let them hang for an hour or so. Trimmed them up and into the fridge. Gonna continue the harvest over the next 2 weeks. Hopefully i’ll find room, but i anticipate removing smaller stuff to dry larger buds. Hoping they tighten up cause the Kush flowers are airy and the flowers are similar.

Also gotta NL im taking in 2 weeks too. Then my mini SOG/ perpetual harvest is gonna start to go a few weeks.

ok those are going to take a while in a few days your gunna want to go in there and turn them so they don't dry flattened what I usually do is wash them hang dry and then hang for a couple days that way gravity pulls everything down for a tighter bud if that makes and then into the fridge if that makes sense!

I took a few more of the outdoor there liking it already the bd,jh and #5 all got repotted to larger pots and the three going to my sisters are really looking happy!
I couldn't resist some bb bud shots!:)
