I myself' use a tad of molasses during the flower cycle afew times.
IDK if the cal, Mag and Fe are available for uptake, but I shit you not, 2.4mg of Iron in hydro, according to my studies is ideal. 200mg of Ca is also close to ideal which then puts 100mg of Mg right there as well. It seems that molasses would be a great building block for hydro nutes in soil. In hydro, the metals have a tenancy of oxidizing quickly if not chelated. It's less of a concern in dirt because the microbes break all of the chains anyways and pass off the ions to the roots, but hydro, everything must be separated in the water if that makes sense.
