Sticky's Almost Perpetual Grow

I myself' use a tad of molasses during the flower cycle afew times.

IDK if the cal, Mag and Fe are available for uptake, but I shit you not, 2.4mg of Iron in hydro, according to my studies is ideal. 200mg of Ca is also close to ideal which then puts 100mg of Mg right there as well. It seems that molasses would be a great building block for hydro nutes in soil. In hydro, the metals have a tenancy of oxidizing quickly if not chelated. It's less of a concern in dirt because the microbes break all of the chains anyways and pass off the ions to the roots, but hydro, everything must be separated in the water if that makes sense.

I use floralicous towards the end of flower, I've started mixing in more Kool Bloom as well as Flora Nectar & Flora Blend.

I used to use all of them products, and though they can spoil if not stored in a cool place, I always had a high opinion of them for hydro use. If you're in hydro (I forgot, sorry), I suggest doubling down on Flora Nectar.

I don't try to starve my plants but I don't like to over feed either. I figure 1/2 a this 1/2 a that, little here little there. Yes I'm in coco/ perlite. Amazing roots that develop in that stuff. Gettin dirty with the outdoor stuff though! Ahhhh, the smell of doyeet!

Flora Nectar at full strength surprisingly only gets the sulfur content up to about 50ppm. I got decent smells at 50, but got super stinky when I jacked my sulfur up near 100ppm.

You mentioned that about the Kool Bloom too, not the same numbers but the up in sulphur being good for the scent of the flowers.

Is that the only thing the Nectar is boosting, the scent? How else does the boost in sulfur affect the flowers?

I use most of the additives they recommend with the extended regiment that GH recommends with the Floranova 3 part
I just use it 3-4 times during flower, unless I get a hungry one,, or one that don't eat as much and shows burn.

Ever plant has different feeding requirements. I always say you never grow a plant 'Right' till you grow it afew times to even KNOW HOW to grow her. And I'm talking clones.. Seed????? you never get the same pheno of a plant, well most of the time.

What might work for one plant,, might fry another.......

I see the recommended amounts as a baseline.. And I only use 3/4 strength till I see results.. Most companies are maxing your plants. Makes the bottle run empty faster............ Besides most plants get overfed in soils..... Soils retain all of the goodies and builds without a flush now and then... Now hydro is abit different.........

I don't remember mentioning much about kool bloom other than it also will spoil. But sulfur (Sulphur?) is also responsible for creating aminos and proteins, and IDK, but I have it in my head that it works with Mg to create and move sugars/sucrose in the phloem, but I would need to do some digging to verify that. I first noticed the effects of sulfur when using that GH Flora Nectar (Fruit-n-Fusion) b/c when I started using it, I was growing Kush at the time and all of a sudden my buds gained a sweetness in the odors. Around then is when I switched to salts, Jack's 321 (not 3.6/2.4/1.1) it smelled a hell of a lot sweeter, but I only used that mix for like 2 weeks before learning how to tweak the numbers with other products and ever since my S content decreased some. Anyways, when I realized that it was the S that sweetened my buds and not actual sugars that the Nectar is loaded with, I began tweaking Hydro Buddy to give me more sulfur. My first test was at 50-60ppm and my buds were uber sweet. I then noticed that Jack's 321 is up at 100, I wanted to emulate that and have been striving for 100ppm ever since. I mostly fall short of that goal, but 80(ish) is still much higher than GH and I think in my brix pursuits, I will be able to get my S higher again.

Most times I would try to convince you (whoever I talking to) to drop the bottles and get salts, but I figure we each make decisions based on what we each see. My breaking point was tossing out gallon jugs of GH products that are still half full due to floating mold islands inside. If you ever have the same epiphany, I documented the hell out of my learning curve and put it all in the DIY Nutes thread in hopes of making the next grower's journey that much less painful as researching the internet isn't all that easy. A lot of the info is very spread out and sometimes you might have to read 20 pages just to glean a few words.

as well...there are many factors that can enhance terpene production...#1 being genetics...others include, quality soil, if that's your medium( arguably, a better medium to attain smells and taste) ...LST, lighting, temperature, flushing, can all add to higher terpene levels...just paraphrasing some of my reading...cheerz... :high-five:...h00k...:hookah:...

Finding a really high sulphur product is the trick.

What nutes do you use? As long as your Mag aint too high, you can do it all with Epsom for a few dollars at the pharmacy. Otherwise potassium sulfate (K-sulf) is dirt cheap on Amazon, like a $6 for 5lbs for the Ksulf. I mix both into a concentrate in a half gallon jug by adding a half gallon of RO, then add 189.3 grams of either Epsom, or Ksulf. When mixing, fill a solo cup with RO from that jug, dump in the salts and shake the hell out of it till it dissolves, then top it off with the RO from the Solo cup. 10ml of that is 1 gram of salt. Now you got options, extremely cheap options to either add more Mag with your sulf or more potassium with your sulf.

I up potted the sd to a 15 or that's what its called I was able to get that 1 cu ft. square of roots and soil lol iwas able to get about 8 in of soil in the bottom and a few in on top so will see if that makes it happy im pretty much done trying to make this one happy the new growth looks pretty good it might be ok now until the fall!
from left to right the jh,#5,bd,sd and the bb out front by itself!:)

Gonna be some big girls by chop time!
I no its going to be fun keeping them at that 2x4 cross board my goal is to keep them just under that board if I have to super crop I will as sad as it might be I will lst and pull down all I can the jh and the bd will be down on the concrete on bricks so those are going to drop down when I get them just how I want them!
