"I'm gonna have smoke some weed before we light up the candle babe."

BD#9 - Ahem, I'd hit that. lol

Stank you got pics of your ZkittleZ?? I must have missed them? One of my favorites right there. I like weed that makes me happy and laughy.. ZkittleZ does that for me.

Winter wonderland here in Upstate NY - just got 4" fresh powder on top of 4" nice hard snow from the weekend. Woot

That grandpa glue has that special shine for sure. Hope all is well brother! Been a busy farmer over here got all 4 ladies trimmed and jarred for cure, now to relax and let the thumb cramps subside haha:passitleft:

Thanks brother! She's starting to fade quickly since that last update. I think she will be finishing pretty quickly....but no rush. Gotta chop the Zkittlez and Black Widow this week and the Panama Haze likely next week.
Ok Stank family. Enough chit chat about the stankberry grow. It's on. Come and follow along if that is your kinda thing. It can be found here

Thanks Urb....will swing through there shortly and check out your magic!

We got about 5 inches from that last front.....light and powdery stuff so it wasn't too bad.

Yeah got some pics of the Zkittlez.....they are getting posted on this update I'm fixing to post brother! She smells good.....she's getting chopped today. Was supposed to get chopped yesterday but shit happens.

Always thrilled to see your garden, Stank! Was having a good laugh at the last page too  Anyways, gonna only be on 420magazine from now on, hope you’re having a good one brother

Thanks Flagg....appreciate the kind words brother! Will be by to check your stuff out later today. Had a lot of work I have been doing with the ladies here lately....not much time to get online. Hoping to catch up on everyones journals today and tomorrow.

Hey 420! Been a bit busy here especially the last couple days. Took a few hours out yesterday to do some work on the plants and take some pictures.....more about what was discovered later......:eye-roll:

The original plan yesterday was to finish up the watering I had left to do from the previous day and give them any trimmings that they might need, then to harvest the Zkittlez. I'm still looking at the Zkittlez so obviously things didn't go quite the way I had hoped.

As I was taking the pics of the scheduled ladies, I was taking shots of the Lebanese when I saw what looked like a burst pollen sac had spewed onto a leaf. I looked everywhere and didn't see any nanners or any additional sign of pollen :hmmmm:.
Then I started to look closer and saw what was the issue.....the beginnings of some powdery mildew. Not at all what I was wanting to see.

I started to look closer and found about 4 or 5 spots on the lebanese plant.....all about the same size. I spent the next hour or two checking out all the flower girls and found a couple spots on a few leaves on a couple more plants. Panic mode set in. Gotta nip this shit in the butt!!

Luckily I had prepared a little bit for this.....but not fully. I recently purchased some sulfur dust that can be mixed into water and sprayed on plants so I put that stuff to use. I also reached out to a couple members on here that have dealt with PM in the past to pick their brains. Thank you both!! I am going to hit this from two fronts. Will continue to spray the plants on 3 day intervals with Serenade and then I will be doing a full on sulfur burn in the basement. I want any and all spores in the basement gone.....and not just the spores on the plant.

Anyhow....here are the updates.....aside from the PM, everything is progressing very nicely and hopefully we can get this knocked out real quick and get back on track.

Lebanese (Regs) - ACE Seeds - Flip Day 33

Panama Haze (Fem) - ACE Seeds - Flip Day 97

Closing in on 100 days for this lady. She's really starting to drink big time as she denses and swells up. She has enough weight on her main colas now to weigh them down enough to fall under the height of the Spydrx so her mains are getting hit with lots of light now. No PM was seen on her after a very thorough inspection. Doesn't matter, she's getting sprayed anyways. She's getting very sticky. I am guessing about another week to 10 days for this lady....maybe a little longer but not much.

Black Widow (Clone) - Mr Nice Seeds - Flip Day 97

Things are coming to a close for this wild woman. Its my intention to take her down this week, sooner rather than later. She has been a breeze to grow and she has no signs of PM on any of her leaves. Very pleased with how she grew aside from the longer flowering times.

Zkittlez (Fem) - Dope Seeds - Flower Day Unknown

Chop time for this lady. She would have been hanging yesterday if not for the discovery of the PM. Smells are very nice....kind of a lemony fuel. Overall very pleased with how this grow went in the 2 gallon pot. This experiment has me wanting to do a bit more small pot growing to see if the results are comparable. I am guessing about 2 zips from her in a 2 gallon pot....not bad at all. My only knock on her was that she started flowering when I changed my lighting from 18/6 to 16/8 in the veg tent. Aside from that, she was a breeze to grow and didn't fade on her leaves until 60+ days of flowering.

Whew, a lot going on, things look good, except the PM.

i know a guy who uses that sulpher dust as a preventative. Seems to work.

hopefully that pm gets stopped in its tracks.never dealt with it myself, my rh is too low in my area
You know its funny, it didn't show up until I started running that fancy new dehumidifier which has really taken the whole basement RH down to about 50%. I actually turned it off yesterday because I want to bring up the RH in the basement when I do the sulfur burn.

I hear that the PM actually likes the winter type environment more than the warmer environment. Seems like if its not one thing with growing, its another! Just waiting for Amazon prime to drop off the Serenade so I can spray everyone with that stuff today. Guess I will take Cooper for a walk and hope its here when I get back!!

Sorry to here about your troubles Van. That sucks after all you've been thru with the water in the basement issues.
Sounds like a solid fix you have in the making. Hope all turns well.
Thanks Derby....yeah it does suck but its all part of life. Life don't always go the way we want and I just look at it as a chance to become a better grower and learn from the experience. We will get our environment dialed in and on point so that all the issues are in our rear view mirror.

Sorry about the PM Van! I've been fighting with it since the summer, but in flower I've been using watered down milk every 4 or 5 days which seemed to work. Neem in veg works wonders though.

The buds are looking greasy and sticky and the foxtails are nuts on that Black Widow...it's almost all foxtails! And @Archiweedies had one of his go into flower with that light change last winter, so obviously Zkittlez is another one sensitive to that 2 hour difference.

I am surprised you don't have a stash of horsetail ferns. Stuff is like a weed everywhere. Bob got me onto the stuff. Its in my soil for silica but I also have a bunch of dried stuff for ACT, top dress, or make a foliar tea...to prevent powdery mildew.

information that would have been useful 8 months ago when horsetail fern was growing in the parking lot lol

Sorry to hear about the PM. I have dealt with it a few times. The last time I chopped everythign I had in my flower tent. It sucked taking the hit as I ended up having to buy produce for a while. I also lost a lot of strains i had been keeping. It sucked, I had gotten clones from a buddy and ended up with mites. Got rid of the mites traded clones with a buddy and ended up with PM. It was a looooong time before I took any more clones in from anyone. Best of luck with the battle bud!

Hey Shed, Thanks for the kind words. Definitely greasy buds on those two!

Sorry to hear you are dealing with the PM as well. Tougher to deal with it in your situation being outdoors. I'm gonna blast the basement with a sulfur burn and spray the plants as well.

Wasn't pleased with the Zkittlez doing her own thing with that slight light change but the good thing was I got to see what I can get out of a plant in a 2 gallon pot.

I know it grows a lot of places....I just haven't been able to get my paws on any yet. We keep our eyes open for it in our walks and hikes but apparently we walk in the wrong spots!

All that in the rear view mirror would be great. Hope it happens soon for ya.

Me too brother! Me too!
I fought against PM a very long time until I finally overcame my apprehension that the burn would leave residue all over, but my fears were all in my head as it was very mild smelling and not a mess.
Van I recommend a sulfur burn

Its gonna happen brother. Not going to have the spores floating around the basement constantly and hope that it doesn't rear its ugly at the worst possible time....no thanks. I would just rather hit with EVERYTHING possible and be done with it.

Its not bad right now....I caught it at the very early stage. This is what the leaves are looking like at this point. All together out of the 8 plants in the flower tent, I have found about 10 spots this size...maybe 12.

Got the Serenade delivery (Thanks @bobrown14 ) late this evening, just before lights out so I decided to push the spray off until tomorrow morning. Anything showing any PM on the buds will be marked with pipe cleaners and go to the topical pile.

A burn is a great way to get it under control. I had used it in the past with good results. Using it late flower I would be careful to not burn it for too long and when you do a burn it’s good to be super high humidity. I would even mist my plants down with water before a burn. Hope you get it sorted bud. I hate that shit with a passion

Plants looking amazing as usual! Sorry about the pm! I had to do a burn once and it really stunk. That was in my small basement inside a tent and the smell got into the house. It took a couple weeks for the smell to dissipate but it did. I was as quick as I could going in at the end but breathing in there was harsh. I'm sure you know to cover your lights or remove from the room. I said to myself, never again, that I would simply cull, clean up and start over BUT I dunno. I still have my burner and sulfur and my grow is in a shed so maybe. I had my huey on and rh was 99. The burn got rid of the pm!
