Stanks Switch It Up In 2019

Beautiful. Everything looks super healthy. I love the shine on the glue and the Afghani looks special. Nice job bud.

Thanks Neiko, we appreciate it bud! I agree.....that Afghani looks like a keeper!

As always, the stank family is growing the PRIMO! Love reading along with your grows Van! Cheers Brother!

Jesse, good to see ya brother. Hope your garden is doing well brother. You got a current grow going?

Real nice to see you have more snow on your plants than I have on the ground today! Beautiful work!

Thanks Otter....the plants are keeping true to the season for sure!

Nice looking lineup there bud. Wow your Stank Surprise is turning into Stank's Special.

I like that purple one - kinda looks like a purple version of Chemdawg.

Congrats on your harvest. You back in high gear now. Good job I know how hard you had to work to get here.

I'm in the middle of trying to get back up and going.

These plants don't grow fast enough.

I'm trying to keep my happy face on... its hard. I'm actually missing trimming. Thought I'd never say that.

You're making Grandpa proud!

Thanks Shed....doing our best! She easy to work with for sure though!

Thank brother....just finished trimming the Killer A5 Haze off the branches....She came in at 117 grams from a 5 gallon pot. Can't wait to run her in some warmer conditions. I think she could be a big yielder in a good environment.

Yeah very impressed with how the Stank Surprises turned out. Nice little variety from them three. The purple one was one of the densest plants I have ever grown. Buds were just rock solid. Looking forward to trying her.

Been promising some pics of the new things we have coming up for a while now, so figured I would take some time today and get this knocked out. We started these a bit over a month ago and have been just letting them do their things.

The first ones up are the Grand Daddy Purple. We took a peek, and by we I mean Ms Stank, and its a bit too early for them to be showing their naughty bits. They will be getting up potted to 1 gallon pots later this week (probably tomorrow or Friday)

And last up we have one of our next lines we are testing. We made this on an outdoor grow last year and were harvested late October. These are the first ones we have dropped of it and have only sent a few out to select growers to date. We had a very hearty DTF girl (DTF is our cross of Durban Poison female hit with pollen from our monster ATF male for anyone joining us late) that was stress tested last year and passed with flying colors and we crossed her with 9lb Hammer male.

We are hoping for a good pain killing hybrid that carries some of the focused high of the DTF. No clue how they are going to turn out, but we are off to a great start. Still need to come up with the name for this strain though.

DTF x 9lb Hammer (Regs) - Stank Genetics - Veg Day 35

Very pleased with the uniform growth thus far. All three popped within hours of each other and have grown very consistently thus far. There is maybe a half inch difference in the height of all three. I am growing them in the same pot and will probably cull any males....though if it there is an interesting smelling or growing male, I may take a clone of him and play around with him.

These are very stout and two of the three are showing good early lateral branching with one of them slightly behind the others in that area. I will continue to guide them out away from each other. Final training, what little I will do on them, will take place after all three have been sex'd.

Hope you see lots of girls in the mob.

The new cross sounds like a winner! Hope it brings what you're looking for to you. Sounds like it can!

Looking good Stank! If u have any spare seeds available definitely let me know. I've got some of Chris Scorpio's GDP seeds from SweetSue that I was planning on running as well, especially after seeing his test results! Keep up the awesome growing brother your journals have always been a favorite of mines.

GDP is amazing

Best medical strain I have, why I cross it sooooooooo much

I'll be doing a pheno hunt soon and make Fem seeds as well

And remember @Van Stank , the GDP dosent like to show sex early, so don't hold yer breath on that...lol

Looking good Vans! Are you taking name suggestions, maybe a naming contest?

:passitleft:
Well I am definitely welcoming of any good names for that strain. Got something up your sleeve? I am kinda waiting to see them flower out a bit before I make any definite choice, in case there is a unique color or terp that comes through.

A naming contest could definitely be interesting...especially with some of the characters that hang around this place!

Mother Fn Hammer looks fantastic

Thanks brother....I think they look great but I am sure that I am a bit biased LOL. :passitleft:

We are going to find out in about 4 months, or slightly less. Looking forward to seeing what the effects are like.

Hey Jgrow, appreciate the kind words brother. Glad you enjoy the journal, we appreciate you coming back on a regular basis. I have been looking forward to the GDP for a while!

I know...we didn't get to sex the previous GDPs until like day 60 or some crazy shit. I am actually thinking about putting them in 4 gallon pots and putting them into 12/12. But I gotta clear a couple more plants before I do that. Zkittlez is coming down this week and the Black Widow will be coming down at some point next week

I have been throwing names around in my head for various things. One being a journal to show off two stankberrry crosses from dabber.

Stanky Dabs, Gerbils Wangs, & Cheesy Poof Thangs is on the top of my list lol

I have been thinking about seed names and I would want to go in a weirder direction. Base the strain name on the effect, but as a character, song, or band name.
