Stanks Switch It Up In 2019

Black Widow is the same as White Widow? Or is that another Cannabis tale I'm thinking about?

Shantibaba started Greenhouse and brought Arjan in as a partner. When Shanti sold his share of Greenhouse to Arjan he also sold the names of strains he created to Arjan including White Widow. When he left he took his parental plants with him leaving Arjan with same genetics that they were selling so Arjan started selling F2’s. Shanti changed the name of his original to Black Widow. It’s the true Widow bred by Shanti.

That Black Widow is gorgeous!

Thanks Penny.....she is a true tank. Its tough to even bend the branches and its getting tougher after the foliars with a bit of silica in there. I don't suspect I will need support for this lady!

White Widow and Black Widow are the same strains. Two breeders who created it together each took their own cuts and Mr Nice changed the name of his strain to Black Widow to differentiate his seeds from his former partner. At least that is the lore behind it.

Killer A5 Haze (Clone) - ACE Seeds - Flip Day 13

Droppy girl is starting the night off. She is doing well and showing lots of tops. Gave her a half dose of water on the top of the soil since she wasn't quite ready for a full watering. I will likely be putting her up on a bucket since she is the shortest of the bunch. Going to keep her where she is at for now to try and encourage any possible stretching for her.

Skunk #1 (Regs) - Sensi Seeds - Flip Day 13

The Skunks are doing great. They are in desperate need of a hair cut but I continue to pluck 4 or 5 leaves off every time I take her out of the tent. Will give her a proper trim after the stretch is over. No water necessary for this one today, but will likely have to give her a gallon or so on Thursday.

Jack Herer (Fem) - Seedsman - Flip Day 13

Really liking the energy that the Jacks bringing to flower. Lots of new growth every time I go down to the tent. Didn't need to water them tonight so will revisit it in a couple days. Smells are amazing for sure!

dayum would ya look at that bush... just look at it! Healthy and happy! :thumb:

Looking very healthy Van. Don't expect much if any stretch from the Killer, she's also a slow drinker compared to other plants.

Thanks brother! Yeah I have kind of figured that she is a bit of a light drinker. I started cutting the watering amounts in half about 2 weeks ago and she seems to be liking it. If the other plants get half a gallon, she gets a quarter. I guess I could just wait longer to give her water but I hate trying to remember who got what on what day and who needs what when. Much easier to just pick them up...feel if they are ready for water and give them the needed amount and just cut hers in half.

thanks LF! We are very happy with all the ladies in the flower tent right now! Haven't looked in there yet today (lights just came on 6 minutes ago....woot woot!!) Gotta move the Stank Surprise in there today....flip day 1 for that batch!

Hey mr stankyy hope you are havin a rockin day :ganjamon:
Hey Flagg, good to see ya bud. Recovering from a day of wood cutting so its all good. Weather is for shit here today (constant rain) so not getting anything done that needs to get done outdoors. Working on the girls a bit this morning and working on an update.

Yeah we need somewhere between 3-4 cords of wood for our winters. We use our wood burning insert as our primary source of heat as opposed to burning oil. Oil bills get way too expensive when we have lots of trees to get rid of. But the day off will be a welcome break for my back.

Jellium (Clone) - In-House Genetics - Day 21

This is the first unveiling of the Jellium spiral plant. Got this cut from a buddy 3 weeks ago and up potted it right away into the 1 gallon pot. It was growing incredibly lanky with absolutely no side branching. You could see the node area, but no shoots were popping out.

Well that is going to make for a shit yield so Stank started putting on the weed cap. What could we do to spark side branching and start filling the canopy out with lots of shoots. Decided to try the spiral approach on this one and I would say its a pretty good call at this point.

Its been about a week since I started working her into the shape I wanted and she has rewarded me with a lot of new shoots to start working with. I will keep all the shoots the same height by just bending them where I want to go while I keep shaping her how I want. Very pleased with how things are going with it at this point! Cheers!

Flower Tent

Figured I would take shot at showing the growth in the flower tent in over the last 10 days. One added difference in the picture is that the Stank Surprise has been added to the flower tent so we have 8 plants in there now. That tent is going to get real crowded over the next few weeks! Here we were 10 days ago....

And fast forward 10 days and this is what we looking like! She is filling in nicely. For anyone joining us late and who hasn't been through any flower cycles with us....I treat my tent like a 3 dimension tetris set with the goal ultimately being an even canopy.

But Stank....your shit is uneven....you did a shitty job at an even canopy. Look at that Panama Haze!

Yeah I know...but the goal is an even canopy, we are just starting to set the tent up how its going to be when we are really cooking. I use the tallest plant as my pace plant. I let it do what its going to do and then I simply raise up all the other pots to put the canopy at the same level (or close to it) as the tallest plant.

I am not doing any of the raising up yet. I will let the plants do all their stretching towards the light over the next 10-14 days and then I will start propping up plants on 5 gallon buckets, pots, or anything else that will raise it to where I need them to be.

Here is the tent today! Feeling real good about where we are going here! I figure that there won't be much open space left in here in another 5-10 days!

It appears someone forgot to tell that skyscraper in the back center of the tent about the even canopy plan. There's always one uncooperative SOB! ;)

She's my pace plant.....everyone will be raised up to her level Beez. I have another 10" I can raise the lights up if necessary.

We lost power for a couple hours earlier. Came back on relatively quickly.

Funny.....I thought I was going to have a hell of a time raking all the leaves this fall. We had about 3" of leaves covering the entire yard last night. Now I have no leaves on the yard. Wind blew all them some where.....works for me! Gonna have to go find some to add to the compost.

I was going to rake me up a big old pile and have Cooper play it in......guess not LOL.
