Stanks Switch It Up In 2019

Heheh, I take a perverse pleasure in making a quick run to the grocery store right after I've finished trimming. I figure if they know what that smell is in the first place - good on 'em - and it couldn't be that old guy, anyway. :laughtwo:

:bongrip:

Oh...…...before I forget. There is a company (and others I'm sure) called Vintar who makes motion sensor night lights. I know the ones I have that plug in wouldn't help with the power out. But I have to imagine that someone makes a batter powered version of them you could stick up around the house. Would be especially nice for when the power did go out. The ones made by Vintar are dimmable too which is nice.
My wife has these solar/battery night lights everywhere. Its like we are visited by a UFO every time I get up in the middle of the night.

Hey 420! Hope everyone had a great weekend. I spent Friday harvesting 2 of the outdoor girls (DTF and Amnesia Haze) and then Saturday and Sunday was spent with Ms Stank and myself cutting firewood.

Finally got around to catching up on the some hand time with the girls. Got all of the veg girls watered and a few of the flower girls. Things are looking really good in all the tents :thumb: .

Lets start off todays update with the harvest back on Friday.

DTF #2

I have no clue how many days this flowered out at, and to be honest I had doubt about her getting to the finish line. She improved a lot in the last half of flower and I am surprised by how well she turned out. I must say her smells are much different being grown outdoors vs indoors. She has a very strong anise smell coming from her that her mom didn't have. She was incredibly sticky!! Yield will be small but that's ok, she is a bonus plant anyways!

Amnesia Haze

Same deal with this girl, no clue as to how many days, but I saw a little sign of rot and chopped her. Her cola was the densest of all the outdoor girls. Buds are on the larger size as well. I would like to grow one of these indoors at some point. Yield will be small on this one as well but again, its a bonus!

Nice bonuses! Did I miss the Sour Angel harvest? Or is she still toughing it out on the deck?

She is still toughing it out....but I have been bringing her into the bulkhead at night. Hoping to get another week or two especially if its sunny like today!

Flower Tent Update Day 5

Feels good to be back giving flower updates! Stank don't like not having plants in flower! If you remember, I was originally planning on flipping the Panama Haze a week or so ago when I flipped her. I didn't like the vigor that she was growing with so I held off and flipped her with the rest of the girls. She will be a handful height wise but I will keep super cropping her as she stretches.

Really digging on the Sour Cherries girl. Love the way she grows and her structure. Hope that I will enjoy the smoke as much as @neikodog does! I will be cutting a couple clones off her in the next couple days.

The only plant that isn't looking happy is the Killer A5 Haze. She isn't showing anything wrong, she just always has droopy leaves. She seems to be growing at a similar pace to everything else in the tent.....she just looks like she is pissed. Gonna be taking a couple cuttings off her as well. Can you tell which one is the KA5??

Black Widow (Clone) - Mr Nice Seeds - Flip Day 5

The tank is up first. She's doing well. Not getting a lot of side branching on her and bending her branches is damn near impossible so she's just gonna grow how she's gonna grow. She will be getting a watering tomorrow which will be 5 days between waterings. I will keep plucking a couple leaves here and there when I see the need on her but gonna kind of let her just do her own thing.

Hindu Kush (Fem) - Sensi Seeds - Flip Day 5

Next up is our night time meds. She is looking very good at this point. I had her stuck in the back corner of the tent and didn't get to do any bending on her for a couple days so I bent her right before I took these pics. She will be getting a drink tomorrow as well. She's on cruise control.....just like we like!

Panama Haze (Fem) - ACE Seeds - Flip Day 5

The Stretch is on! I am glad that I decided to wait on flipping her.....she is growing very explosively right now. Gonna be a fun since she has a 13-16 week flowering period! Much happier with how she is growing....much healthier than if I would have flipped her back on the 6th (the original intended target date).

Sour Cherries (Clone) - Crockett Family Farms - Flip Day 5

Really loving the structure on this one. She is stout but easy to manipulate with aggressive side branching. She is very strong smelling as well. Will be taking a cutting off this one as well when I do clones this week!

Puppy Update

Been a bit since we posted any Cooper pics. We had a good walk today and is enjoying a nice nap. Remember how he didn't want to use a bed......well he has commandeered the bean bag as his domain! Life of a puppy is hell!

Looking good Van. I sure can pick out the KA5H, that's just her posture and she looks good. The Black Widow is definitely sativa so I don't know how good she will turn out. The plant itself is strong and all signs point to her being a great plant but...she's still in flower and this weekend will be 11 weeks from flip and she still is 100% white pistols and looks to have another month or more to go unless she suddenly decides to finish. I haven't heard of any desirable Black Widow plants going that long so we'll see. The Sour Cherries is a big hit around here, she's is a dank one for sure, as she cures there is a little cherry in the background. It's like a gassy/chemical cherry but it's there. It's unlike any other strain I've grown is the smell department, she'll out you in a hurry.

Things are lookin tip top! Great lookin pup Van!

Thanks Magoo! He was just humping the solar guy's leg while he was doing a site visit.....gotta love puppies!

The Black Widow is looking killer, cooper is settling in now.

Thanks Penny! He's really developing a hell of personality. If I can just get him to stop trying to eat us with those razor sharp puppy teeth we'd be good!

lookin good! :thumb: :blunt:

Thanks LF! Appreciate it bud! :passitleft:

Ok, good to know that is just her posture! I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what I need to do to make her happy and I can't come up with anything. I have tried it all.....more water, less water.....moving the lights....adding a bit of kelp and gypsum. None of it, including recharge, could get her to perk up. Guess some ladies are just gonna sag huh! o_O Thanks for the reassurance that it isn't something on my end (especially with everyone else looking great).

Black widow.....ok....no worries on her going longer. She can go right next to the 13-16 week Panama Haze! I will be awaiting your smoke report on her to determine if the wait is worth it.

Glad to hear that they are loving the Sour Cherries. I kind of wish I would have grown this one bigger before flipping her.....totally loving her structure. I have a feeling its one I am going to keep around for a while.

So.......been doing a lot of work down in the basement the last few days as well as cutting the winter fire wood. Broke out the old 4x4 (remember the bottles on the corner posts :eye-roll:) and got it set up on some new subflooring that we painted the wood with some mold resistant paint.

What light to use in there? :hmmmm:

Ah yes, the post man came a couple days ago and brought a nice new shiny toy to us to play with. Figured might as well take it for a test drive in the 4x4.

The bottles..... bit what are they for again  :passitleft: I kid I kid

...my first A5 X Killer was droopy and the one I have left is as well...be prepared for a long run...there are 4 phenos, and if you get the Haze dominant, they go the longest and are less sparkly than the other three...massive cola's(albeit a bit airy)...the first one went 16 weeks and the one I'm tapping my foot, waiting for her to finish has got to be close to that as well...good yielder's tho...cheerz... :high-five: ...h00k...:hookah:...

He has my cut which goes 70-77 days from flip on 11.5/12.5 lighting schedule. It makes a nice even bush all on her own and doesn't noticeably stretch. It's a dream sativa to have in the garden.

I think I would be most happy to have the NL/Haze pheno of the Killer A5 Haze strain. Ace says 66-80 days flowering time.

Also, I started my sponsored Seedsman grow of their Peyote Wi-Fi strain and would love all of you to pop in if you find some time. You guys all have more experience growing then I do and I might need some suggestions from time to time.

Veg Update

Quick shot of the veg tent that is running the Next Light Core (190 watts give or take) over the 4x4. Plants are definitely happy under that light and have perked right up in the week that they have been in there. All the plants except the Stank Surprise got watered yesterday. That one is still really heavy and won't need any water for another week or so most likely. I may water the top portion in a couple days. First pic is before doing any bending.....second pic is post the daily bending routine

Stank Surprise (Regs) - Stank Genetics - Veg Day 66/59

These ladies have settled into the 10 gallon pot very nicely. They aren't drinking very heavily at this point but they look really healthy. Going to give them another week before I move this pot over into the open spot in the flower tent. All the plants will be getting their weekly IPM tomorrow.

Flower Tent

Gave the big pots their water with a splash of liquid kelp and a bit of humic acid. They will all be getting another spraying of IPM tomorrow. All of the girls are looking really healthy at this point and we are feeling really good about this batch. Only updating the Skunks, Jacks, and KA5 Haze on todays flower update. We also watered several of the girls in flower today (Panama Haze, Black Widow, Sour Cherries, and Hindu Kush). First pic is before any of the daily bending.....second pic is after our daily fondling.

Skunk #1 (Regs) - Sensi Seeds - Flip Day 7

Everything is looking good with these little ladies. They are picking up their drinking rate slowly which is always a good sign at the beginning of flower. Skunk #2 is definitely the bigger of the two plants. Loving the color on her and bright new green growth. Didn't do any bending on her today....decided to skip it.

Killer A5 Haze (Clone) - ACE Seeds - Flip Day 7

Feeling better about this lady after learning she has a natural droopy posture. She got watered 2 days ago but is still drinking a bit on the slower side. She needs a haircut badly but going to just keep plucking a few every time I do my bending routine on her. I will give her a good haircut post flower week 3.

Jack Herer (Fems) - Seedsman - Flip Day 7

These two have really taken off nicely over the last week. Going to have to do some trimming on these leafy wenches real soon. We did another bout of bending and twisting today. They smell amazing! Can't wait!

You are quite a talented grower Van Stank! Wonderful looking assortment of plants and they all look fantastic.
