Stanks Switch It Up In 2019

Rough estimate how much it costs for your mix?
Well.....i have a rough estimate. Runs me about 150-200 bucks per 50 gallons.....so 300-400 bucks for 100 gallons.

When things are clicking well.....i pull right at an ounce per gallon of new soil....so 100 gallons will get me about 100 ounces from 1st run. Still unknown on 2nd run with no amendments. Even if the yield drops to half an ounce per gallon for 2nd run, that's a total of 150 ounces from that 100 gallons.

Awesome updates van. I’m liking these 5gal plants. They look great!

greenhouse
Oh my! I can well imaging what you might achieve in a greenhouse...

Looked good when I took it..... and in my phone. Oh well.
Looks like it dropped some pixels during upload :hmmmm: Still a great pic - can still see the frosty bud
This is where all my work is.....this is where I pay for not having to mix nutrients, pH solutions, deal with run off, or any of the other tedious...

Here are a couple pictures of my Grandpa Punch cross I made this past winter. Parents are the infamous Grandpa Tokin GG#4 X Purple Punch. A week ago her aroma was pure graze sweet tart. Today I can definitely smell the GG#4 coming through. She is at flip +46 days today and is fattening up and packing on the trichromes.

Evening y'all! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Was a HOT one here today and looks like tomorrow is gonna be a repeat.

Starting off today with a new addition. I popped two of them. One will be grown indoors and one will be grown outdoors. I don't generally run many autos but I figured I would give these a try

Malawi x Northern Lights Auto (Fems) - ACE Seeds - Day 12

They were both started in very small seedling containers and I transplanted them into their final pots a few days ago. The outdoor girl will be grown in a 15 gallon pot and the indoor girl is in a 5 gallon. The 15 gallon outdoor girl is un-amended used soil.....while the indoor 5 gallon girl is in amended used soil. I only snapped pics of the 5 gallon girl today.

Next up are four big outdoor girls. All 4 are doing very well and are growing like mad in this warm weather. I put 4 gallons of water into them 2 days ago and they are drinking fast in this 90 degree heat.

Jack Herer (Clone) - Seedsman

This lady continues to beast it. I really need to clean up the outdoor girls and remove a lot of lower growth on most of them. She's coming close to 45" across now so she could definitely fill up a 4x4 if she was in one.

Super Silver Haze (Fem) - Greenhouse Seeds - Veg Day 73

This sexy little lady has been in the big girl pot for 20 days now and she is really starting to click on all cylinders. She's growing about an inch and half to two inches a day now.

Afghani (Clone) - Sensi Seeds

This big girl just continues to grow. She's a wild mess down low and needs a lot of work. Maybe tomorrow I will get around to it if its not too hot out there.

Sour Cherries (Clone) - Crockett Family Farms

Last lady for the night and she is really starting to come on strong. She was fussy in the hot soil but now she is really settling in nicely. Like the Afghani and the Jack, this one needs another makeover.

Ace sells Autos now! I have some investigative shopping to do!

They did at one point.....I believe it was their first attempt at them. Their IG posts on the strain are very impressive for an Auto.

Love to see you growing outdoors, and like a lot of us, growing outdoors leads to neglected thinning...grab your trimmers when it cools down!

I hope the auto in the 15 gallon gets to use all that 2nd run soil. My outdoor autos don't usually fill a 7 gallon pot.
Me too Shed.....but even if it doesn't all get used, it will get used next year!!!

I don't have much luck with autos. Only one that did decent for me was the Jack Herer. I have a Blue Dreamatic going that was the only one of the 5 seeds to sprout......and she barely grew 4" tall before she started flowering. I might get a whole two or three bowls out of her. Definitely wasn't impressed with that batch from the Vault.

So many killer plants, Van Stank! I'd love to see your notes. It must be quite a job keeping up with all that is going on! :Rasta:

Morning 420!

I meant to post these yesterday but I laid down and it never goes well when I do that. Woke up on the couch at 3:30am lol :cheesygrinsmiley:. Anyways, things here on the farm are rolling along really nicely. I finally put up the 2nd flower tent, which will be flipped soon. We went ahead and put up the @NextLight Mega that we won from POTY and man is that thing a sexy beast!! Its pulling around 660 watts from the wall and covers the 5x5 perfectly. We are very excited to see how she performs next to our Fluence Spydrx Plus.

Here is a quick shot of the line up that we will be running under her. We have a Sour Pineapple from Annunaki, Killer A5 Haze from ACE Seeds, Black Cherry Punch from In-House Genetics, Super Lemon Haze from Greenhouse, and Super Northern Light from a friend. Thats a pretty stout lineup to see what the light will do. We are all over the place on heights and flowering times which is fine......thats life when you run a perpetual. Keeps things interesting!

The Sour Pineapple is really coming along nicely and is probably the biggest plant out of the tent at this point. She's in a 8 gallon pot.

The Super Lemon Haze is the one I am the most interested in seeing flower out. We up potted her to a 7 gallon a few days ago and she seems to be getting adjusted to the new home nicely. I won't flower her right away with the rest of this group....I will probably give her an extra week of veg time to get those roots into the new soil.

Now onto the creepy stuff. As you all know, we expanded into outdoor growing this year......our first real go at it. I will say this.....its a completely different game than indoor growing. First off the sun....wow....you just can't beat it for energy. I have never seen cannabis grow the way it does outdoors.....but outdoor growing also presents a whole new list of challenges. So far there hasn't been anything too crazy....no deer eating my girls....but there are a whole new list of pests. The bugs that I am finding on the plants are pretty interesting.

We took a few pics and spent some time trying to ID them and learn what they are. Here are a few.....don't get too creeped out. Not all of them were on my cannabis plants....some were on the plants in the veggie garden.

This one was a saddled leaf hopper. They like to munch on your girls and I have to try and find something that helps ward them off a bit. Going to spray everything outside in the next day or two with some Neem.

This is the next one that we found on the cannabis plants is this little beauty....the Four Lined Plant bug. Yes thats the actual name. It likes to suck out little holes on the leaves....which I will take some pics of for you to see. Its likely the most destructive in appearances but its more cosmetic than anything else. It seems to be sticking mostly to the DTF plant that I have going outdoors right now.

Then we get onto some of the creepier things we got to see on our stroll through the garden. Some of them are kind of gross and certainly don't leave me pleasant thoughts LOL.

And how about this little gem we found on some of the tater leaves....its called a Tortoise Beetle, though I think it looks like its more related to a horse shoe crab personally. Disgusting little critter......sorry the pics aren't great but the cell phone was zoomed in on max to try and capture it

And we will close with this one....its a Three Stripped Potato Beetle.
