Stanks Switch It Up In 2019

Looking great buddy!

Love Cooper's new companion.

Vexy!!! Good to see ya again bud! Looking forward to seeing you back at it.

she’s lovely! Looks quite happy with being there as well :)

Umm ... quite a few (just to join the play on the double entendre) ... penetration ain’t everything! :laughtwo:

Thanks Amy, She is a doll. I spent the day outside working in the veggie garden today and everytime I turn my back, Cooper runs somewhere that I can see him (including the neighbors). Luna just finds a shady spot and watches me work. She barks if any animals come up...which is nice with the bears that are in the area. Now if I could get her to stop chasing the deer, that would be great LOL. No issues at all with her. She knows the perimeter (except for the front of the driveway which is also the direction we go for our daily walks) and doesn't leave it. She would rather be outside than inside.

Now, the fun part has just begun. Cooper attempted his first mounting this afternoon. Ms Stank and I had to act quickly. Luckily he doesn't know what he's doing so nothing happened.:thumb: Going to be a fun 6 days......that when Cooper's scheduled for his special day :thedoubletake: Of course he won't find it nearly as special as I will....assuming I can continue successfully playing goalie between these two. Going to be a LONG 6 days.

And Sheesh :p I was just talking about ladies and LIGHT penetration. Right!!!! I can't even try passing that off with a straight face.

Not a whole lot going on here that wasn't covered in the above response LOL.

I did snap a few pics today that I thought I would share. First one is a view from my "office". Not a bad view if I do say so myself. The girls in the big pots have definitely tied their roots to the new soil and are growing great. Even the Sour Cherries has outgrown the 'hot' amended soil that was burning her leaves.

I have to do a lot of clean up work on the Afghani (2nd from right in the big pots) and the Sour Cherries (Far right big pot) and will likely get to that at some point in the next day or two. I might get to it tomorrow morning before it gets too warm. After that I will be harvesting the indoor Afghani. She is ready.

Next bit of news for us is that we recently up-potted the Stank Genetics stuff in hopes of triggering them to show sex. Less than a week later and we have been rewarded.

Of the six that survived the original seven that were dropped (one KBTF - KushBerry ThunderFuck didn't make it....I accidentally snapped her when she was real young), we were able to identify sex on all six. We have 2 for 2 DTF that are girls, 1 for 1 KBTF was a girl, and 2 out of 3 Stankberry were girls. That will give us one of each for the 20 gallon pots and one extra DTF and Stankberry girl. I'm gonna throw one of them in the ground in the veggie garden. The other one will be sterilized and isolated until she's confirmed clean and then go back indoors and flipped in a few weeks.

Had to throw up a couple shots of this Jack Herer. She is hitting her stride and growing leaps and bounds in these warmer temps. I'm really digging the way this one is growing out....so damn sexy.

And what sort of update would this be if I didn't include a shot of the two lovebirds relaxing by me. He's just waiting for his chance!

 glad you have an alert dog, for bears!

have fun with that!

Hey - that Jack Herer, is that still the Seedsman one? It is really nice looking :)
Yes it is a clone from the one I ran last winter. Funny story on the clone actually.....I took 3 cuts to get two, but on one of the cuts I accidentally left it in the glass in the basement. It got a very little ambient light from the tiny basement window. I didn't even know I had it down there for about 25 days as it was hidden from view by a box. I was doing a little clean up down there and found it......I figured hell it wasn't dead and looked decent enough I'd leave it to see if it would root. I never changed the cup of water or added anything to it. Finally getting close to 40 days in that cup of water, she popped some roots.

I was just gonna toss it after seeing that they were going to root in a cup of water, but Ms Stank kind of said it would be a shame to toss it after it hung in there. We had a couple times in the battle with the poorly cooked basement soil that I almost chopped it cause it looked like hell and I didn't think it would ever recover. Hard to look at her now in all her glory and think that she came from a crappy little clone left in a cup of water. She has a sister cut in flower right now that is very small....suffered a lot from the bad cooked soil and never grew out of it the way this one did.

Super Lemon Haze (Fem) - Greenhouse Seeds - Veg Day 87

We kept this one in a 1 gallon pot up until day 65 and have been keeping her growing on the slower side when possible, but she's starting to take off in 3 gallon. She was one that was growing in the older batch of slow cooked soil which is another reason for her being on the smaller side. She and all the other ladies got a sulfur burn last night. I am figuring a month or so and she will be up potted and flipped....no rush.

Durban (Reg) - Sensi Seeds - Veg Day 88

This is another one that was grown in the poorly cooked batch of soil over the winter and was smaller than she should have been during that time. She got up potted to a 5 gallon pot and EXPLODED almost instantly. She was in a half gallon pot the whole time waiting for her to show sex.....which I think slowed her down some more in showing sex. The growth since I transplanted her has been drastically different from the rest of her grow. I wasn't going to take clones off her, but I think I will now that she is showing what she has.

Super Silver Haze (Fem) - Greenhouse Seeds - Veg Day 44

Here is a good example of how a girl usually grows when in a good batch of soil. She was planted into soil that was moved from the basement cold temps, to the upstairs area near the wood stove to finish cooking properly. She's 40+ days younger than the above two girls and almost the same size. This was a back to back cup winner back in the 90s so I am looking forward to giving it a test drive! Cheers and hope everyone has a great weekend and is staying safe out there!

My niece shared some SS haze with me and it was a good and fun for the head smoke when I tried it. Should be a killer.

Hey Everyone!

I know that there are some crazy times going on in the world right now....hope you all are staying safe.

We are pretty isolated where we live (a good thing and it was part of the plan as we tend to like our privacy more than we like being around people) and we stay very busy with work around the farm. Hopefully to everyone else out there that doesn't have the luxury of being away from the craziness, you are finding a way to stay sane.

We are gonna start out with something to make everyone a bit happier.....dogs! We recently added to our pack, with an 8.5 year old German Shepard. She was a friend of ours, and he is in a situation where he just couldn't keep her anymore. I texted him to tell him that I had some clones ready for him to come pick up. He responded back that he couldn't take them right now and asked if we wanted Luna. Well she is such a sweetheart with a great disposition/demeanor that we couldn't imagine not taking her. He had posted her on Craiglist and got 16 responses but couldn't bring himself to give her to a total stranger. When we responded that we would love her, he was extremely relieved. We added the caveat that if he get back to a living situation that is supportive of taking care of her, he could have her back.

And of course Cooper is taking a bit of time getting used to having a sister now. Speaking of that....she went into heat 2 days after we got her! :thedoubletake:  Uh oh.....and Cooper isn't fixed yet. He has been scheduled to get em chopped in a couple weeks but we fear by then its going to be too late. Stank don't need a litter of pups. We got him added to the standby list in case a spot opens up.

Anyways, back to the plants. Things are picking up around here. We are very close to harvesting the Afghani, and almost time to start the reveg on the Grandpa Glue. We flipped 4 plants yesterday as well....the Labyrinth, Sour Cherries, Durban Poison, and Alien OG.

I also up potted another plant into the 20 gallon pots for the outdoor grow. It was a tough choice and one I may end up regretting but I chose the Super Silver Haze from Greenhouse Seeds. I am really digging her structure and want to let her go naturally outdoors. I realize she may not finish outdoors and I am ok with that as I am taking a couple cuts off her to run indoors as well.....just to ensure I get a complete harvest from her.

We have a couple slots left for the outdoor grow right now

One of those got filled with the SSH.....but the other three will be filled by a Stankberry girl, a DTF girl, and a KBTF girl. We are just waiting for the Stank crop to show sex so I can pick the winners.

Super Silver Haze (Fem) - Greenhouse Seeds - Veg Day 53

Jack Herer (Clone) - Seedsman - Veg Day unknown

It was time to put a little effort into this outdoor lady. She has exploded with growth in the 3 weeks she's been outdoors. Had to break out the pipe cleaners and spread her out and open her up for some better penetration. What girl doesn't like better penetration right!

Here she was before our session....

Took a fair bit of time but we got her set up nicely.

Your plants are awesome as always but Luna! She's beautiful. I remember working in greenhouses as a kid where one of the sheps got so hot for a female in heat he jumped on the bench going the length of the house and ran to the end and jumped right through the side glass panes to find her. Good luck! Hoping for an early appt!

What a beautiful garden and what beautiful pups you got there! Lol, if your attempts to keep them apart don’t pan out, you can set a puppy aside for me, they’re so pretty! I know you don’t want that so I won’t wish too hard. ;) That JH cutting is a survivor!! I’m glad Mrs Stank suggested keeping it, what a beauty.

My niece shared some SS haze with me and it was a good and fun for the head smoke when I tried it. Should be a killer.
I've never tried it.....so I figured I owed it to myself to give it a whirl. I'm slowly working my way through a lot of the classics as well as trying some of the new hype strains. Been totally crushing on her....but she's really grown nicely since I put her in the big pot a couple days ago. Loving her structure!

Good to see ya back around, haven't seen ya in a bit....but I also notice you have two new journals going so I will get over there soon and see what ya got going on! Hope you and Ms Otter are doing well.

Thanks!! We had to pull him off her a few times today...before he could get going thankfully.

Thanks HH!! I'll keep that in mind in case he is ever successful. 5+ days to go.....then the wait period to see if we were successful.

I kinda chuckled to Ms Stank the other day that wouldn't it be funny if that Jack Herer ends up being one of the biggest/best plants we have grown.....and to think of what it came from. Its one of the reasons I will always try and give a cut a sporting chance. Its up to her after that!

It was harvest day on the Afghani girl. Didn't get a shot of her pre harvest. She had flopped over so badly that wasn't much of a decent picture to be had of her standing. But before we get to the good stuff.....lets cover the small talk. A little over a week ago, I stuck a clone of a Sour Pineapple with one lone root on it, out into one of the 20 gallon pots. She wasn't doing very well at all for a few days but today we are seeing signs of recovery. I am assuming the single root did just enough to keep her alive while getting settled into the soil.

That leaves us with a bit more work to do this weekend. I was able to pick up two more 20 gallon pots from the hardware store and I got them filled with unamended 2nd run soil.

Also been doing a lot of work in the outdoor garden. For anyone new since last summer, we have a pretty good sized outdoor garden that we use to grow a lot of veggies. We had a really cold late spring with lots of snow days into May so we were a bit later getting everything in like we wanted. Its approximately 1500 square feet and this year we are running about 30 tomato plants of 15 different varieties, 15 pepper plants of 4 different varieties, 6-8 cucumber plants of 3 varieties, several varieties of squash, lots of green beens, 3 varieties of beets, 2 varieties of pumpkins and 3 varieties of melons and bunch of onions. I still have all the carrots left to plant along with the lettuce and broccoli and spinach. I will get that finished this weekend I hope. After that its finish the fencing for good now that all the tree work is complete around the garden area.

Ok, now that all the boring chit chats out of the way...onto the bud porn! I will say this.....this Afghani is easily the greasiest plant I have ever grown. I believe she's even greasier this time around.

On top of her greasiness....she is one chunky girl. Hard not to crush on lady with these type of chunky nugs.

And lastly, we will close out the night with a pic of Cooper. He's built like a tank for a Labrador Retriever, but you can see why now. He loves pulling trees and logs that I have cut down and I am sure that led to him developing all his muscles. This is his favorite game of fetch with his favorite stick.

Yea, I'm getting out more in journals now. It's good to see some of my favorite journals like yours since I haven't been focused enough to. I'm not going anywhere for long, just getting adjusted. We're solid here, thanks! I hope the same for you and yours!

I love the outdoor garden - not boring at all. :thumb:
OMG, that afghani tho!! I can see the greesiness on your fingers. Lol. I just flipped mine a few days ago and now I’m getting so excited seeing how well yours did. Amazing job Stanks, congrats on the stellar harvest. :ganjamon:

That afgahani is drool-worthy. Great job! :Rasta:

I have a Sensi Seeds Afghani #1 seed. I hope when I get mine planted it finishes as nicely as yours did. WOW!! :bravo:

Thank you so much!! Hope yours is everything you want it to be!!

Thank GDB!! She was a sexy sexy girl. Can't wait to see what the big sister does outdoors. Hope all is well with in your garden brother!

Thanks Beez! She threw a lot of nanners the first time I grew the cut. She didn't hardly nanner on the clone version, only a couple down low.

I had the same thing happen with the clone version of the Alien OG. The seed plant had a LOT of nanners and I suspect she was stressed (probably by me) which caused most of it. I just harvested the clone off that mother plant and found a single nanner that had no pollen in it.
