You got them plants looking awfully ha ply there van and miss S. Great work. Congrats on the harli splooge. Hoping my nuts burst any day now... any indicators before they pop?
 
The only experience I have thus far is with all males. So not sure if you are talking about on a male or on a female that you are trying make S1s from. If its a male, I kind of wait for the dude to show a couple burst flowers/sacks before I start harvesting. Just look for any leaves that look like they have any pollen on them....if you see a couple spots, then its just about harvest time.

finally got to the end... Don't realize how many pages 60 really is until you're only half way through.... But I got er done and glad I did so much helpful information spattered throughout and some real good laughs... For whatever reason I was reading 'van stank' as 'von stank' which left me thinking of the sound of music and the von traps or whatever their name was... So when I got to the 70's porn segment I was envisioning a sound of music themed porno directed by none other than Chris Scorpio lmao... I actually laughed out loud and people gave me some funny looks standing in line at the grocery store.

@DobeWan - if you're looking for a good water only soil north of the border, I used gaia green living soil... Probably get it at your local nursery or contact them through their website for the closest location to you.... There is another one my mom uses for all her veggies and does some of her tomatoes in fabric pots, not sure what size, but they always turn out fantastic... She's just getting her veggie grow room started, ill get a picture of the bags when im over there this weekend for you, she gets it at home depot or Lowes, I think.

@ Blew Hiller thanks for the worm info! I'm starting my own.... Not even asking the wife... It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission right? lol

thanks for the welcome Van! actually I have been very curious as to where you got your Alaskan thunderfuck... I bought some Matanuska tundra seeds from sagamartha with a buddy like a decade ago through a seed bank..dont remember which, paid a small fortune for them and they came in green and immature and neither him or I could get a single one to pop..tried every method possible.. And he had an incredible green thumb... So frustrating. be awesome to actually get to grow some thunderfuck one day lol
 
I got mine from Twisty Treat Seeds but I think they are completely sold out everywhere. I don't think they are making seeds anymore. I don't see ATF seeds very often.....and I hear the breeder you mentioned has a very indica dominant strain, where as the ones I got were supposedly almost all Sativa.

I don't know....and not to mention that supposedly the true genetics for ATF was supposedly lost. Who knows.....I know the stuff I grew worked well for my back pain and a couple of the reviews of the strain that I read seemed to fit exactly what I grew.

Well if it was lost and one breeder is selling indica and one with sativa then it's just a name someone threw on a strain! Your strain works well for you and others who buy it from the same breeder would show similar results. But if another breeder has a whole different strain with the same name then it's no different from all the Ray's Pizza in NY!
 
please don't think I was trying to be a pain, just curious about the history of our wonderful ladies and their actual lineage...so diluted and so much mis information out there... Very well could have been a sativa pheno and an indica pheno... Sagamartha is an old seed company, I have no idea when twisty started.... One day ill spend a summer touring Alaska and hunt it down lol.... At the end of the day if it works for you it works for you, a name is just a name....

Btw I'm sure you've heard of it... But if you haven't... Check out the potcast on sound cloud (google search) hours upon hours of interviews with breeders and the history of their plants/strains. I throw it on when ive got long drives to make, keeps me fascinated for hours lol

True, but even then....how do you know you are really getting what the breeder is supposedly selling! All it takes is one slip up with a clone or a bowl of seeds and that company might have mixed up their crop. Hell someone, one of our sponsors I believe accidentally dropped a shit ton of seeds and they got mixed up and they are selling as mystery seeds. At least they are selling them as mystery seeds and didn't decide to just slap a label on them and sell them as something they weren't sure about.

Honor among sponsors! Good for them. I have no illusions that the Blueberry auto I got from 420 would remotely resemble the Blueberry sold elsewhere. I do hope that the Blueberry auto they sell resembles the other Blueberry autos they sell though :).

I completely agree van, good on them for mystery seeds. Perfect example is what im growing right now, brothers grimm purple urkle x p75....this is second hand from @FeralA9X, he asked, can find the story in his journal... But someone along the line mislabelled a clone that got given to duke diamond or mr.soul ... Turns out I'm actually growing lavender x p75... So how many times has that happened amongst history of us stoners.... Probably fairly often lol
 
LOL...I can't imagine how many times its happened. Hell it happened to me on my first grow with my first seeds. I started dropping seeds into water without marking what seeds were what. Good thing Blueberry has a distinctive smell and I was able to ensure that my guesses were correct. Otherwise my Durban Poison would have been Blueberry and vice verse!
