Stanks Go Perpetual In 2018!

Seed Drop

TGIF everybody!!! Seems fitting to drop a new bean. White Widow is next on the docket so I had to select which breeder to give a spin. I wanted to do a feminized seed (don't need any more males for a bit) so I had to pick between Seedsman, Ministries of Cannabis, and Dutch Passion. A thorough process was vetted in the selection process (LOL...yeah right) and I went with Dutch Passion for two reasons. The first is that it was listed as slightly more Indica leaning than the others and the second reason was my Dutch ancestry LOL.

Anyways, the bean got dropped into my Water/H2O2 soak for about an hour or two and then moved into straight water a little bit ago.

I had regular versions of it from Nirvana and AMS. I was chatting with Ms Stank and said how nice it would be to not be worried about plant count and being able to grow out different breeders versions of the same strain.

Hope I made the right choice LOL!

I am sure you did make the right choice. I just can't get my head around how many plants that you have going and are staying legal. I never thought I would see a point in time like this in the USA. I am hoping for a 4 plant legalization at some point here. That would be enough for me. You have so many it might start to seem like work.

If you get your system down and mastered, it doesn't take much time at all to manage them. I kid you not when I tell you that I probably spend 15-20 minutes a day on average taking care of the plants or soil. Occasionally I might spend more time when you add up the cleaning of my tea equipment. But most of the time I wake up, look in the tent....fill the humidifier, check the work sheet for each strain to look at its time line and watering schedule and figure out what I have to do for the day. That might be it for the day for 2-3 days (less than 5 min per day) until its time for a defoliation or watering.
Honestly I spend more time doing updates than I do actually working with the plants. Now I will admit there are times when I have a plant on my lap doing a defoliation or training and I am watching TV and that defoliation or training session might take an hour because I am watching and working.

I would love to be able to grow more than 12 plants.

We have a 12 plant limit here too. The only time it really seems like work is harvest time! My wife calls it trim jail. Lol...as far as the r.o. water, it's a must for me as I'm on a well. My tap water is 780 ppm with some sulfur. I can't drink it so I can't give it to my garden either. On the spots you have on the leafs. I think calmag will straighten it out

Harlequin Veg Day 59

Its been a bit over a week since we gave Ms Stank's girl a proper update. She is really bulking up and putting on some size in her last week of veg. She will go in the dark for 24 hours on Thursday night.

She got a feeding of ACT with a bit of Cal Mag in it (just in case any deficiency shows itself starting in flower) yesterday and I gave her a little foliar with some Cal Mag and Silica in it.

She will be getting a big time defoliation at some point in the next couple days. We want her defoliated before we flip her.

She isn't going to win any size contests, but she has been the steadiest and healthiest plant throughout her entire grow and is really spreading out nicely now. Canopy is really developing nice and flat and most all of the under growth shoots are up and even with the 4 mains. We are both excited to see her flower.

Blue Dream Veg Day 44

This girl is finally starting to pull herself out of the funk she was in from me letting her get root bound. I gave her a foliar spray yesterday with some Cal Mag and Silica in it and it has seemed to speed up her recovery process. I think she will be back to full speed growth in another day or two.

She isn't due for an ACT feeding for a few more days so we will just keep an eye on her and give another foliar spray if she looks like she is stalling again.

Hopefully there won't be any additional issues with her. She has about 3 weeks left til flip (though I can push it back another week if she isn't growing the way I want her to be when that time comes).

Northern Lights Veg Day 15

She is getting all comfy in her 2 gallon pot. She isn't the drinker that the Blue Dream was at this stage but she is happy and healthy. Hell I might get 4 weeks in the 2 gallon pot with this girl LOL.

She is almost ready for her topping....she will probably get topped tomorrow or the next day. Still haven't figured out what training I will do for her. I have a couple ideas in mind but I am kind of waiting to see how she grows to make the final decision.

And here is the Veg tent.....no Nukehead or Stankberry girl in there. The Stankberry has stretched 4 more inches by the way, now standing 33.5 inches from the top of the soil.

I don't know about what causes to triggering in autos. I know the Jack Herer Auto I am growing is a bit over 30 days old and not showing any pistils in its bigger pot. Now if I was growing outdoors.....autos I would probably do at least 15 gallons simply for the soil temperature. For photos, I would probably only grow in 25+ gallon pots. People really under estimate how hot the sun can make outdoor containers get. Bigger pots help to stabilize those temperatures in the root zones.
Great read stank glad I popped by to say high today .

Oh next winter I have four atf mad love to you and @flytier ✊✊

Can’t wait til winter already :Namaste:

Quick question: Who here washes their buds post harvest? I am asking because every cannabis crop I ever grew (since Jan 2017 :)) I washed the buds in lemon/baking soda. Problem is, I don't really smoke so I'm a bad judge of the pros/cons on the finished product. But I give it away and ask for feedback. And, of course, I have the "connoisseur" friend who is continually telling me there is diminished "taste or smell". I tell him is it washed. He never heard of that. His "guy" (who he buys from) is a "pro" and has never washed and his buds taste and smell better. So, thoughts please.
What ratio you giving easy in lemon juice ice also heard that if not rinsed properly or adequately enough it can leave that complaint . I always go less is kore with everything I can always add later but not take away right ✌

Beautiful stuff Stank’s, love that Harlequin female!

I know this is old news, @Blew Hiller but I also wash with 1/3 lemon juice, 1/3 baking soda in 2-3 gallons of warm water. Then I rinse in plain water and hang. I tested both washed and unwashed this last Grow and the washed stuff was smoother!! Crazy but true and now that both have cured for a few weeks...the washed stuff smells better:)
