Stanks Go Perpetual In 2018!

LOL....too late, I already stole that from you brother! Been doing it for the last 2 doses of ACT in preparation of flowering. Will continue as you suggest for the first half of flower before weening off to plain watering in the end.

I have a feeling you might be right about the taller ceiling! Good thing is I can run my light as close as 6" above the canopy so hopefully I can get them to finish without too much trouble!

A little LST will help or just bend but dont break the top down to the light ... I did that last time plant stopped growing taller after, hahahahaha didn't seem to hurt too much! Well didn't hurt ME too much.

Good on ya with the MB... I always add in about a 1/4 cup to my soil when I up-pot right b-4 flip along with all the other goodies. I end up with plants that I can pick and choose when to harvest. If I wanna get a bigger yield just go another week, if I need the space, chop n drop.
Will help a little with your perpetual schedule. Although I've never had very good luck trying to keep all the ladies on the same schedule. Always a few lagging behind. Show em the loppers....

Evening to you Van
Things are looking awesome brother!! That nuke 2 is still my pick

Blessed Buds our friend and be well :passitleft: hope the Misses gets feeling better

Well we are getting ready to see what your top pick does in flower Arctic. She is a stout girl and should do well in the yield department.

Hi Guys! I’d like to see how the male Stankberry stretches in flower. If he’s catching your eye then he’s probably the one to get the pollen from. I still haven’t dropped beans, but it’ll happen soon. It’s been one of those months.

Beautiful stuff as always!

Hey VS!

The great thing about a perpetual grow is that no matter when you start following, there's always action going on! I'm just fashionably late.

I'm planning to give soil a try and grow some autoflowers outside this summer, and I asked on my journal if anyone could recommend good journals to follow to that end - yours was the first suggested (by our buddy @Derbybud).

Your plants look great - I'll pull up a chair and see how it's done!
Hey Dobe, sorry I missed this post before.

Glad to hear you are going to give soil a try. Let me know if you have any questions about anything brother! I am happy to help any way that I can!

Well I am not sure that I will actually flower him out. I think that by the time I am done flowering out and collecting the pollen from Ms Stanks Harlequin, the Stankberry is likely to be too tall for the tent I have.

I have a feeling that if I want pollen from him, I am going to have to take a clone and keep him smaller, which is a shame because he is a gorgeous plant.

We are kind of flying blind with him at this point. We will figure something to do with him.

I am considering making a "Stanks Dream" with a cross of this Blue Dream female and the Stankberry male. Their structures are so similar and strong.

Now that would be something. Do it bud!

Well despite my best efforts, I have not managed to get the Blue Dream to where I want her on my timeline. She decided against my best efforts, that she is ready for up-potting. I saw the leaves this morning and thought "oh no, not again". Started to see the leaf wilting I was seeing on the Nukehead when she was getting root bound in the smaller pot. Pulled the Blue Dream out of her pot to take a peek and......YUP, its time.

Going to up-pot her into a 10 gallon pot and let her spread her wings. I only got 3 weeks and 3 days in this pot. Not sure I will get to my 4 week goal. Oh well, a terrible problem to have......fast growing plants in veg. Well time to get her transplanted and watered!

With those new lights you may need to shorten your veg times on the perpetual calendar.

Or up pot sooner. Apparently the soil in conjunction with the lights are growing them faster than I want them to grow. Plants don't always work to our schedule......Its up to me to make everything else work in conjunction with the plant.

I really thought switching to 2 gallon pots instead of 1 gallon pots would get me the 4 weeks I wanted. Now in my system's defense, the Blue Dream is a faster grower (but they have all seemed to be growing faster lately) so I still might get 4 weeks on slower growers. Just gotta figure out how to get about 4 more days out of the 2 gallon pot......back to the drawing board!

Nice healthy plant! I expect some explosion in the next 2-3 days!

She is all comfy in her new home but she looks a little angry after the transplant and ACT watering. I will post pictures of her tomorrow after she has recovered a bit. Hope everyone is having a great day!

You finally heard her yelling TRANSPLANT ME!
Well....Ms Stank has been urging me for 2-3 days to transplant her. "She is starting to look like the Nuke and Stank did, you should transplant it"

"No, I should be able to get 4 weeks from this, lets just see how it progresses"

Well we see who was correct LOL. She might not say a whole lot....but when Ms Stank says something, its usually right!

From what I've read that takes a long time to break down. It works if you're making organic soil though but it takes a while. The vinegar breaks down the calcium in the eggshells and makes it available immediately to the plant.

This might sound like a broken record, but the worms use egg shells as grit and that helps break them down. Those that don't help aerate the soil. I have gotten very good at crushing shells into small pieces before they go in the worm bin.
