Stanks Go Perpetual In 2018!

Thanks Shed, they are some pretty buds! The lowers on the colas I cut off were solid.....its the lower 5 or 6 shoots that still need a bit more time. I don't mind staggering them a bit so I threw her back in the flower tent for a bit longer. It will let me get these bagged up and in the fridge before I have to deal with those. Small plants are nice in that regard.....harvests are wicked easy.

Man you aren't kidding.....its the neck more than anything anymore. Hurts to be on the computer looking down or on the phone looking down. Thats ok, I have more than enough stuff to keep me busy lol.

Hindu Kush 1.2.1 Harvest Day 72

I stuck this girl in a corner for a couple more days and finally got around to chopping her today. Not expecting a huge yield. I only chopped off the top 5 or 6 colas today. I left the lowers on and gave the plant another drink of water. Gonna give them another week or so to add a touch more yield. I am think that all together, I might get 3 zips. She wasn't grown for yield.....more to let her grow for a bit and keep the line around to do some work with.

I smoked a tester of her and I gotta believe she is more potent this time around.....if not potent, certainly narcotic. She smells amazing! Got her washed and rinsed and hanging for 2 days.

Should be an easy trim, there is frost on everything :nerd-with-glasses:

Morning everyone.

Quick update on the happenings here in the Stank Gardens. We are coming up on crunch time for the flower girls. We are plannning to knock out quite a few of the plants in the flower tent next week.

The Tangie Ghost Train is 3 days past where she went the previous time and she looks to be ready for chopping at any moment. I will start stripping any remaining big fans off her this weekend.

The African Meltdown is ready as well. Originally I thought about taking her a bit earlier than I did last time but I have decided to go the opposite route on this one and let it go a bit longer. I took her at 74 days last time if I remember correctly (today is day 74) so I am going to give her til the middle of next week I think.

After that will be the Amherst Sour Diesel. I have been removing a bunch of fan leaves on her to open her up for better penetration to the lowers. She is finishing a lot faster than I expected. I haven't cut any testers (will be doing that today) but I expect to take her next week as well. Yield is going to massive on her......her colas are so fat and greasy.

And then that will leave us just one....the DTF girl. She is closing out very fast as well. I was thinking she was going to be an 85 day strain easily....but now I am not so sure. Her trichomes are getting a good bit of cloudy to them. I am thinking I will end up taking her in the 80 day range. Gonna smoke the tester of her today!!

Also, got the part I needed to finish putting up the light mover. Will finish putting that together and get it mounted either today or tomorrow. I have all the plants to water today first so we will see how the back feels after I get done with that.

Hope everyone is having a stellar week and an even better weekend! Cheers!

I will need some of them for the Tangie Ghost Train and the Amherst Sour Diesel.

Smoked some of the tester of the DTF. :thumb: Very very very pleased with those results. If you like Sativas, you will like the DTF! Great flavor, very clear headed and energetic, fun to smoke! Looking forward to harvesting that one! I can see why your GF likes it so much. Glad I took a clone of it too.

I am about ready to flip the DTF I was stress testing. She has recovered fully in the 2 gallon pot and just needs to be up potted and flipped.

She tried my SP x ATF yesterday
Not cured but she really liked it
She likes the Star Pupil, not near of a high as the ATF or DTF
So I'm excited she will really like the cross when it gets cured

Harvest day for the Tangie Ghost Train today!! Gonna be glad to get rid of that wild girl....she has flopped and is falling over EVERYWHERE!

First time we let her go, she flowered for 71 days. This time around we let her go just a bit longer (more because I didn't want to harvest over the weekend). Today will be 77 days in flower.

Also on a side note.....we finally got the Light Rail 4.0 up and operating correctly. Took a bit of tinkering and trying different things but its going now. Definitely nice to be able to space the plants out a bit more instead of shoving them so close to try and get some of the rays of the Spydrx.

Pics will be coming in a bit on the harvest! Cheers....hope everyone had a great weekend!

Evening mr.Stank is the DTF DurbanP X your ATF sorry as I can't recall but you said sativa so more likely is...haha .
I've been smoking on some guava Kush which came over from the Transkei with a friend and its lineage is a mystery sativa so not much info on interweb about it, but smoking it wasn't sativa at all more an indica dominant medicated stone... Although not what I was looking for but it worked a treat for the ol back...hahah so it was a win win...lol

Have a good evening, looking forward to watching the DTF want to see how she develops cola wise....

@Smeegol , what do you know about Ciskei strains? I grew out a Durban x Bushmans and there's something about it that's unique. I can't put my finger on it, and I'm not sure I love it, but it's ... different.

Evening mr.Graytail all I could offer is it would a very sativa dominant plant in structure and leaf, would you mind sharing a pic over on my journal or here if mr.Stank doesn't mind.
The DP parent is that 100% DP lineage or is it the indica lineage of new... Also what is the bushman strain, is it bushman Kush...?

Bushmans is a Ciskei backcross, and the Durban is Sensi's.

DurBush from ApeOrigin

Here it is at 63 days ...

You have just made my evening mr.Graytail I thank you kindly...... :thanks: That is a stunning flower right there, and the genetics are as pure as you can get going by the info you have, I take my hat off cause you aren't going to get any better than that.... I'm actually a bit speechless to be honest as I have never seen a sativa flower like that and I bet a million bucks you'd be hard pushed to find a South African who knows that strain unless it's one of the older generation who would of know bout the bushmans.....

Until you mentioned Ciskei I wouldn't have even considered looking there for a local landrace, which side is the bud from though as those pistils are insane......

That is pure gold......:bravo:

Heheh, thanks and you're welcome! :high-five:

The breeder said the cross was supposed to run 60 days and it went 99.:rolleyes::laughtwo:

So it's obviously an outlier. And I checked out Sensi's Durban as best I could, and it doesn't seem to have a long pheno, so ... figured it had to be Bushmans, but ... that has no reputation for going 100 days either. :hmmmm:

So ... yes, it would appear to be a throwback Ciskei pheno. Thanks!

It caught some pollen from a KingGelato and I have a seed a few weeks from chop. I'll get some pics for an update this week.

:bongrip:

I would be interested to know how she smokes though, cause I imagine it's going to be a very racy buzz with bit of heavy body stone if from the DP if I remember correctly from what I remeber of DP from 20 years ago......

I'll have to lookup kinggelato as not familiar with that strain but looking forward to the pics...
