Stanks Go Perpetual In 2018!

Harlequin Veg Day 44 Update

Its been about a week since I did an update on Ms Stanks female Harlequin. She has adjusted nicely to her 7 gallon pot and is bushing out nicely. She needs another haircut, which Ms Stank will give to her this weekend at some point (she's dozing on my shoulder now, so I don't think its gonna happen tonight....hehe).

She got fed about a gallon of ACT yesterday and perked up nicely this morning. I don't think we are going to have height issues with this girl, she seems to be enjoying staying short and bushy. There will be a lot of side shoots visible and popping through the canopy after the defoliation. I figure we are about 2-3 weeks from flipping this one!

The first picture is the Harlequin on the left, next to the Blue Dream.

Okay. I see what your doing in there beautiful update mr stank.

Very healthy looking plants so what is gone on the lowers you have removed off mains shooting out.. will they grow back at all?

Thanks Joe, I appreciate it brother. Ms Stank is doing well with her girl (and boy...but the boys don't get their update today). She is amazed how fast they recover from defoliation and how soon she has to do it again LOL.

Sorry those are males bud?

No, we have two males in a different tent. We have a Stankberry male and a Harlequin male in the tent downstairs. Gonna do a little pollen harvesting in a few weeks.
Nice buddy

I thought that is why you said I just been very relaxed lately .

Sometimes we have to stop and smile ya k wk no matter how weird we look at the time .

I love these strains looking forward to testing stankberry out .

Solid :passitleft:

So I read a post somewhere on this galdarn site not too long about about how you can improve you odds of a regular seed plant growing up to be a girl. Can anyone point me in the right direction? The harder I try to find it the more frustrated I get. The more frustrated I get the more I smoke. The more I smoke the less likely I'll find anything I'm looking for tonight.

Late but subb +

Those BD and Harlequin are looking incredible!!! so you from North east? dont mind sharing some of that when harvested. Im from witch city, Mass. Keep it up.
Thank Elpod I appreciate it! I am not too far from you....definitely know where you are at. I am northwest of you a bit.

I think it was growchy....but hell if I know where it is. I know Sweet Sue does something with a banana peel. I think increased nitrogen levels pushes for more females. Cant remember much else....I know what you are talking about though Beez!

Oh NO! I know about using boiled banana peels water.....not recommended for our HB grows..just so ya know, OK!!! They put way too much K (Potassium ) in the soil...messes up things..a lot! I used them a couple grows about 10 or so yrs. ago and the water from them also attracts nasties...just sayin ok !
Getting around to some of my subbed threads to hopefully reactivate my email notices. Cheers and have a great day around here!:circle-of-love:

Sweet Sue was placing bananas in her tent and allowing them to ripen. The ripening bananas give off Ethylene gas which is a hormone used by female plants to build flowers. Not sure what her final results were. I tried them and it just created gnats for me.

Really....Etheline gas.....OMG , come on .....i'm not gonna comment further on that! cheers PW!

When feminizing seeds with colloidal silver or Silver Thiosulphate the silver inhibits the production of ethylene in the treated plant part. Not being able to produce pistilate flowers the plant will produce Staminate flowers instead.

I realized in my current grow that some down leaves would really never make it. I wish I had remove them sonner in veg to redistribute the energy to top buds. So I now believe that trimming down leaves in late veg is mandatory as an optimization
