Stanks Go Perpetual In 2018!

Northern Lights Harvest Day 64, Day 56 With Hairs

Here are the last pics of the big girl. Pardon the repetition but I am hoping that one of the pics in front of the window and guitar will be a decent shot for a future POTM candidate. She might have been able to go a couple more days but I think I will be very happy with the quality and effects.

I added a partial picture of me in for scale. I am just under 6'3" and 250 lbs so you can get a pretty good idea of the her size as well as the size of those colas (cause we all know we can make things look much bigger in pictures!).

Here we were at one point and we thought about quitting for the night but Ms Stank was a trooper and we pushed through a bit more. I think we have about 2/3 of her done at this point.

And here is where we left off......

I am very impressed with the buds....very solid and dense. We are finally picking up a definitive smell with all the handling. We are getting a Mango/Bubblegum smell. Very pleasant and sweet but certainly not over powering.

We ended up with about 20 nice mains from what we harvested tonight. We still have another 6 or so mains off the very top of the plant. These are what the 20 mains look like. The yield is going to be good! Definitely some weight on these mains.

And here is the final box with all the stuff we harvested tonight.

Wow! Unreal!! Nicely done!

I have a feeling it's gonna be big. I can't tell you long I have stared at that Meltdown trying to see what I want to do to her. I know she is gonna be BIG.....but I don't know what she wants me to do to her lol.

So damn smooth and pretty potent for hanging for just a week!
Just wait till you start unwrapping big fat cobs of that NL harvest.

Got the Tangie x Ghost Train Haze dipped in her last treatment of Neem bath last night. The foam contraption worked perfect to allow me to dip the whole plant in there upside down.

After she dried off, I got her up potted into the 10 gallon pot. Gonna give her a day or two, check for any signs of mites again and if nothing, then I will flip her.

Her clone is growing really well.

Clone update

Continue to have great success with cloning in the rapid rooters as well as cloning directly into my soil. We did clones on the Widow (both in the rapid rooter plug and with the clipping straight into soil), the Tangie x Ghost Train Haze (both in plugs and directly in the soil), and the Hindu Kush (only in the plug). Both methods continue to run at 100% success rate.

The rapid rooter plugs produce roots a bit faster (4-6 days faster on average) than putting directly in soil but there is zero maintenance with the soil method. I don't have to do anything with them, unlike the plugs that I have to spray daily to keep damp.

I will likely throw away one of the Widow clones....no need to keep her around with the other one.

Will take a clone off the Black Cherry Punch here soon cause she is going to be the next big girl to flip ( when I find room for her after the Hindu or Widow finish). I figure I probably have to keep her manageable for another month.

I can't remember, are your rapid rooters in a trays with individual compartments or just sitting on a tray under the lid? Mine are in compartments and they never dry out even after a day uncovered. Still practically dripping wet.

You and me both PW...that's my fave plant of the new bunch.
Mine sit flat on a tray (with the flat side down). I don't set them into anything. I should find something cause keeping them standing up is really my biggest challenge with cloning at this point.

I want to watch the BCP flower out, should be a gorgeous girl!
Yeah I am going to try to keep her in the 2 gallon for another week or two and then go to a 5 gallon. That will allow it to veg a couple more weeks and stay manageable before up potting her into a 10 before flipping. I gotta try and keep her smaller while I clear this backlog LOL.

The African meltdown may turn into a beast. I have a Chernobyl going at the moment and that plant has been a fast grower. Really vigorous
I really do think she is going to be a beast.....but I just talked to my buddy and he said the stretch on these is crazy so I should be careful. LOL....when the hell have I ever listened?? All I see is a beast!

The compartments keep them upright as well as keeping them from drying out...at all!

Yeah but if I do that.....there is no where in the dome for the clones that directly sow into soil to sit. That was honestly the main reason I stopped using the compartments. Its either stop using them and be able to test the direct sow clone method or use another area for a 2nd clone dome and use an additional light to grow em. So given that option......I prefer a smaller footprint even though its a bit more work and a bit more difficult moving them.

I am seeing roots in about 10 days or less in the plugs, while about 15-17 days directly in the soil. The soil method might be my chosen method going forward. Seems to work well on all the strains I have tried.
