Stanks Go Perpetual In 2018!

Hey KB! Glad to see you over this way bud! LOL, yeah that soil is definitely doing well for me right now. Test will be in the smoke. Had a friend stop by this week and I gave him some nugs. He shared with a friend of his and his friend was very very impressed with the Blue Dream. Said he woke up still a little stoned LOL. But that was grown under the first batch of my Stank Soil. I haven't tried anything in the new soil yet. I think the White Widow will be the first one grown in the new stuff.

New soil????

I've been AWOL a bit, what is this New Soil you speak of

????????????

I changed my recipe after the 1st batch finished. I had a little bit of pH swing upwards from a few of the amendments I put in there. Oyster Shell Flour is one of my main calcium sources but it drifts up. So I reduced the amount of OSF and added Gypsum to make up for what I took out. There were a few more amendments that I did the same thing with. So I changed my ratios on a few things and switch the amendments to something that tended to stay neutral or swing down over time (since my tap water is 9.2.....but I have been switching to collecting rain water which tends to be around 6.4 on the pH). Since I made that switch, the soil has really been rolling along nicely. I haven't used anything but straight rain water on any of the plants for about a month now. I only did one batch of ACT during that time.

Gorilla Glue Auto Day 15

I apologize for not getting these done last night but to quote George Thorogood, but I was TIRED!! This girl is chugging along very nicely! She has been showing very good early growth vigor and I think she is going to become a pretty good sized girl! She is just getting a bit of rain water every now and then. Not sure when we will up pot her but the roots are filling the cup up pretty quickly. She just got watered before this picture so that might be a bit of the issue with her leaves.....she looked really perky before I watered her. Next time I will take the pics before I water her.

S Harlequin Veg Day 30

This girl has responded to her surgery as a seedling very well. She is still staying very short like her mom but the node spacing is incredibly tight like the mom. Still only getting rain water at this point. May get a bit of ACT this week as I plan on brewing a batch tomorrow or Wednesday. Still no signs of being a boy or girl but I expect it to show very soon. Hope its a girl!

Not going to grow this girl huge as I don't think they really want to get overly large. I just want to find a nice CBD strain that I like and keep it around. So I will likely clone this one IF its a girl and wait for the smoke. If I like it....I will keep it as a permanent member of the garden. I love the smoke from her mom!

African Meltdown Veg Day 34

This girl is my new crush, along with the Widow. Very relieved to have seen the hairs yesterday confirming she is a she. I am digging the structure and growth on this girl and get the feeling she wants to be big. She might be my next monster plant if she decides she wants to get large. Will keep her in this pot for another week or two and then will likely up pot her to a 5-7 gallon and then do another up pot right before flower. Only thing I really need to decide is how I want to train her.

Definitely going to clone her before I flip her....or perhaps take a clone the first week of flower just to slow it down while she revegs. I have a feeling I am going to love this plant.

And I still need to catch up with your journal and Derby's journal.....and perhaps Pennywises. I haven't forgotten about you guys, just takes a bit after not being around for a week while poppa Stank was out. Oh and still have a bunch of pages in Newty and Sue's to catch up on.

Yeah the naming was mine. LOL.....told my buddy "Dude you need to name this something better cause I don't want to be typing out Chernobyl or Mozambique when I do updates."

He told me "well give it a name".

Laying in bed it hit me.....African Meltdown. Who wouldn't want to try some African Meltdown??

I Hope so.....but still sticking to my 14.5 zips prediction. Of course every day I let her go, I am a few grams closer to that goal! Maybe she can go another week! :passitleft:

I hope she is some good night time meds!

Hey there Stank peoples... NL looking mighty fine.

Thats a big plant, you're gonna need some bigger scissors I'm thinking.

Don't get greedy... unless she's drinking water. Jeeez, I'd be freaking worrying. Of course letting her go and worrying. :p You have plants waiting in the wings, eh?

Edit - congrats on the harvest. Nice haul. Rain water --> soil FTW! Glad to hear you picked up on the PH thing, your water @9.2 yikes. Rain barrels are awesome.
