Nice harvest Van! You got lucky the stems were sturdy enough to hold those massive buds. Everytime I don't stake my big plants I regret it due to bud flop. Nice work bro!

Northern Lights Harvest
We just finished up the remaining part of the Northern Lights today. The top 6 mains weren't too bad to trim. VERY VERY solid nugs up there. Got everything washed and hung. Going to give them about 2-3 days to hang dry before I attempt to migrate them to the fridge for their Slow and Low dry. I will be cobbing a few ounces of the Northern Lights at that point and the rest will be going for flower.
For a little perspective in these pics.....the trays that the buds are laying in are 18" across.
Each one of these stems I am holding is over 24" long from tip of stem to the top of the bud. The main bud part on each one except for the last one (the small 50 gram cola) is about 8-10" of solid bud.

She was a helluva plant, just waiting for a final weight now.

Yeah that will take a bit of time to get. I think those buds are going to take a while to dry in the fridge. I was hoping to smoke her one of her test nugs tonight but we are at about 80+% RH with the rain so the test nug feels like its almost completely damp again LOL. Guess I will wait a few more days to try her.
Lol that's the way it works usually. Soon enough though.

Quick update.....looked at the African Meltdown today and she is showing female parts. Its day 33 so right in the range where regular seeds will show their sex. Definitely no doubt that its a girl! Very happy about this development! Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Killer job buddy! Did you get a wet weight on her? OMG.....who's genetics on that girl again? Just pulled over 800 from 3 of your girls. Now got my biggest ATF to date in flower as of yesterday in 7 gallons of the Stank mix. Never thought Id say it but I've run out lol!

Hey Bob, glad to see you back through these parts brother.
Yeah I love the soil and tinkering with my soil blend. Seems like the tweaks I made on the last batch is working really well. Gonna keep it as is for a while and run it multiple times.
I am a bit of a cheap ass on a lot of things, but I decided that the light was going to be the one thing that I wasn't going to skimp on. I have zero buyers remorse and love what its doing!

Thanks Dynamo!! We are thrilled with the results and the fact that we got it chopped down and the initial trim done so quickly. I don't think the second trim will be too bad either. Overall a very easy strain to grow and trim! Highly recommend Sensi's version!

Dang dude those colas are as big around as the neck on the guitar.. NL doesnt dissapoint in the yield department. Looks like some decent quality meds too.. great job man!
Btw why do you have those platic water bottles, upside down with the bottoms cut open, zip tied to the corners of the tent??

Also that widow is a beast! Looks like she runs a little more sativa dom than the ones i just ran. Mine were listed at 60/40 sativa but the leaves and smoke said the opposite. At any rate im sure you guys will get the best out of her!
Hey SKD, thanks bud! She is definitely turning into a beast real quickly! I am running Dutch Passion's version if I am not mistaken (might have to check just to confirm). I think they were listed pretty evenly......somewhere between 50-50 and 60-40. Will find out in about 40 days or so! Hoping she is a bit more Sativa leaning since my Blue Dream is Indica leaning.

Yeah there wasn't going to be any issues with this girl holding herself up. The stems on this thing was impressive to say the least. She was built like a tank from top to bottom.
I am going to probably have to support a few of the Hindu Kush's buds as they bulk up. Those things stretched really nicely and need some more strength to them.

Thanks Amy!! I appreciate the kind words! I am crushing on that Widow now that the NL is gone! She is turning out better than I expected. I had a hard time choosing which breeder's version to grow on the Widow but settled on Dutch Passions in the end.

Well.....she was in a 10 gallon pot, but due to her size....I decided to up pot her to a 15 gallon a couple days before I flipped her (three if I remember correctly). I had a feeling she needed a bigger pot. Seems like I was right! LOL
That widow is going to be nice. But watch the frost on this Hindu that Ms Stank is growing. That thing is going to be frosty as hell!

Hey brother! Glad you made it over to see her! She was from Sensi Seeds (so is the Hindu Kush that Ms Stank is growing) and was a pleasure to grow. I will be making fem seeds from her clone. Gonna keep this line around for a while (assuming the smoke is good....I may even get it tested)
LOL, you go through soil faster than you think huh! Hopefully you will have as good of luck as I have had. The newer recipe I used this last time really seems to be right where I want it. Very happy with it. If you decide to make another batch of it @Guy Cavallero please let me know and I will email you the changes I made to it. They weren't drastic.....a few things here and there, but I think its better.
No worries if you can't make it down this summer, there is always next summer and the offer stands! Hope you had a great weekend brother!
