I appreciate the advice Flash.....my process is fine as long as I do it. I skipped it for 2 days and we see what happens.

I moved the moldy bud outside and have the jar top off. I will use the 4 zips of bud to make topicals......2 zips of Harley and about 2 zips of Jack should make some really potent topicals. Was planning on using the Harley in the coconut oil but not sure how much good bud we have left. Just a couple small jars if its not moldy. I am so freaking pissed off right now.

Make bubble hash with it! Duggan says that the mold floats to the top and can be scooped out of the water leaving you with clean trichs in the bags!

Doesn't the water all run through the mesh leaving the spores mixed in with the hash? Or is he assuming that all the spores will become soluble in water and float to the top where they can be completely skimmed off the top?

From what he has said the the spores will float and you can skim it off the top of the water before you pull the bags out. Leaving you with clean hash in the bags. He has done hundreds of runs with his bags and mentioned doing a bunch of runs of bud rot buds someone had given him at one point. I would ask @Duggan for anything more specific though.

Not me. I wouldn't trust skimming the mold off the surface of the water and assume it's all gone. I'd be more willing to check the scientific literature to see if 200 proof alcohol will kill botrytis than make bubble hash out of it! One is a chemical reaction and one is a physical one.

Already decarded most of it all today. Have one more run to go and then its on to topicals (Ms Stanks thing!)

Also decarbing all the trim off the 6 plants we harvested in the last month and some change (not together with moldy buds). Having to run the trim through in batches with the oil afterwards so running them in shorter cycles at 2 hours in the MBM. When the 2 hours is up, I strain it all, put the oil back in the MBM and add the new batch of decarbed trim. Will run it through 3 batches total. Hopefully that will be potent enough and I won't have to add any buds. Will have total trim weights a bit later.

I have a couple updates planned for tonight, Ms Stank's Hindu, the Hawaiian Mayan Gold, and the S. Harlequin. Will get to them when I have a break in the oil making and decarbing process. Good thing I will have about 3 cups to coconut oil after this!
 
Yeah I don't need it if I don't know what the % going in is. I know what feeling I am looking for out of a dose. I will test this batch tomorrow....if its not potent enough, I will run it again with additional buds.

If its too potent, I will take less capsules. Generally I am looking for 4 '00' capsules to give me the dose I want. IF I can get it down to three, that would be fine too.

There was a lot of frost on a lot of this trim so I am curious what I will get from about 110 grams of quality trim in the 3 cups of coconut oil.
 
I ballpark all my grows at 10% because I'm growing under less than ideal conditions. You could probably safely go with 15% and see if your testing is consistent with the spreadsheet. Takes 30 seconds to run the numbers so it's not a big time commitment!
 
Stank's Harlequin Veg Day 4

This little thing graduated from its 7 days as a seedling and is now in 'veg'. She's taking her time but I am fine with that. Gave her a little drink tonight. Saw one root hitting the side of the cup, so I expect it to start picking up steam. It's starting its next set of leaves so we are moving in the right direction.

Hawaiian Mayan Gold Clone Day 13

This girl is getting her legs under her pretty quickly. She's getting a bit of height on her and throwing out another node of growth. She is in #1 pot right now and will likely get up potted to a 5 gallon when she's ready. Her leaves are starting to get a bit deeper green. Gonna be fun watching this one, I think it might be a grower.

Hindu Kush Veg Day 65

This will likely be the last update for this girl in veg. Next will likely be in flower. Thats tomorrow's main task.....find room in the flower tent for the Hindu.

She got a big drink a couple days ago. I think Ms Stank wants to do another defoliation on her before she flips her. She has a few clone sites down below. I think we will likely take one from her.....not sure what we will do with it, but better to have it than not! This girl is looking nice and healthy before her flip!

Lil Blue Flip Day 48, Day 41 With Hairs

Took a look at this girl today under the scope. She is getting close, likely a week left if I am going off trichomes only. Again she is finishing much faster than the breeder time and smells pure Blueberry. Her mom's smoke leans more towards the effect of Blueberry so I am assuming she is definitely a more indica leaning pheno.

We got slammed with rain today and I decide to collect a bit of rain water. Gave her a good drink of fresh rain water. Managed to collect about 20 gallons in about 30 minutes. PH of that rain water is so good.....definitely want to start rain water collection as my next project. If I do it right, i think I could collect enough water to use as my primary source for the girls.

Fan leafs are fading very fast on this girl, just like her mom. Has nothing to do with nutes or soil, she just fades really fast at the end. I cut off a bunch of the dying fan leaves that were coated in trichomes earlier. Will freeze them for oil.

Northern Lights Flip Day 41, Day 33 With Hairs

We are getting down to the final two weeks or so on this girl. She is starting the fan leaf fade as you can see. She is bulking up daily and starting to put on some weight. I still think I am going to be a couple zips short of a pound unless she really bulks up these last couple weeks.

Gave her 2 gallons of water yesterday. Will probably give her another 2 gallons tomorrow as long as she keeps pounding the fluids. Will probably give her some of the rain water I am capturing.

I will try to get some better bud shots of her on her next picture day. She's just too big to move for the good shots.

On my previous grows, I was using a SCROG net. Tough for me to water 5 plants in a scrog in that 4x4 tent so I mounted the water bottles with drip line and soaker hose. I pour the water in the bottles and it slowly waters the girls. Generally about the time I finished filling the last bottle, the first is ready for watering again. Worked well but don't need it without the scrog. I keep them in there just in case I hurt the back worse and need to use them. Then all I have to do is put the cap (has the drip line siliconed into itself) on and its all set to use.
 
Thanks Chris, She is a looker. Need the buds to bulk up more. If I could get her to bulk up to the buds like the Blue Dream, I would hit the pound mark I think. Still no smell to her really. Amazing the different terpene expression from these plants.
