Stanks Go Perpetual In 2018!

Lil Blue Flip Day 32, Day 25 With Hairs

Here is my back up plan if the potential decision to let Big Blue go another week backfires. Makes this decision a bit easier. If I didn't have her, I think Big Blue would be coming down instead of me typing this.

She is frosting up really nicely. As I said before, even though she is in a small 3 gallon pot she is going to yield pretty well. I see 2 zips her forcast. She is in between waterings right now. Will likely get a drink tomorrow. She is really starting to take on the Blueberry muffin smell.

Bonus Update - Northern Lights post Hair Cut

Spent a good bit of time up in the tent giving her a trim. She was really thick with leaves in the middle and lower areas so I gave her the overdue hair cut. This really opened her up for the penetration of the Spydrx Plus. Think this will help me have a shot at the pounder club. We will see in another 4-5 weeks!

LOL....you can call it whatever makes you feel warm n fuzzy. I cut dem flippin big ass leaves off that was blocking the light from giving me what want from her! Defoliate, pruning, cutting, trimming, giving it hair cut, skinning a bitch.....call it what you will brother. Just a means to an end for me my man!

That was the amazing thing to me man......those bottom buds were 4 feet from the light and still decently solid! Not sure I will make oil out of this strain though. I want to give some indica oil a shot and see if it will help me sleep a bit better. I can't ever seem to slow my brain down. Its always going a million different directions on things to try and compare with growing or training techniques, breeding ideas, marketing ideas, DIY ideas, and a million other things. Getting it to shut off is tougher and tougher every day I fall further under the spell of growing this amazing plant.
yep... youve just described the last 6 months of my life lol

Looking again closely at the trichrome photos of the most mature Blue Dream I would suggest you let it go till day 63 and cut the top portion of the plant off and give the under parts another week. Just a best guess, but it looks like you're at about 5-10% amber crystals. BUT still have a lot of clear crystals. I think in a week a good number of clear will turn milky while the number of ambers will not increase all that much.

Good looking trim work on the NL.
Thanks BL, I really like....no, LOVE how she is looking. Every main cola except for two (got caught up underneath and never grew like I needed them to) have at least 8 inches of potential bud and there are 30 mains. Plus there is now nice penetration into the inside of the canopy as well so I expect some decent smaller buds too. Excited to see the yield on this one.

On a side note, just jarred the Jack and have a final weight on her. Shockingly she came in with 170 grams not including the three tester nugs I took and the stuff I gave my buddy to try. That is just over 6 zips from an auto. Very pleased with it. Think I am going to go smoke some of it before I venture into the outdoor garden for some work.

:surf: Whew!! Caught up. I think I missed a whack of pages back there, but the fun never stops (except occasionally when the word bitch gets thrown around off handedly ;) but I’m certain to get over that - it’s the world...)! Enjoying the edutainment in the Stank house :thumb: Shed got it right when he said “Stanktacular”! That NL looks incredible - I can see that you’re fully stoked on it... and man you should be. It’s another POTM contender. And 6oz off an auto, that’s a winner too. Gotta love your winning ways VS. :ganjamon:

And Ms Stank - you’re totally not allowed to be disappointed with 4oz from your first plant! She was a beauty. Super job... looking forward to seeing more. So cool you have the bug too!

I used the malted barley approach too Van and had a similar thing happen - ambers very early, before the window was really open. Maybe pushing flowering along isn’t the go, or maybe not great with some strains. I dunno - Bob’s produce is top shelf there’s no denying. Maybe I used to much. But I do wonder whether a slow ripening isn’t maybe desirable and how much time does speeding it up save I wonder. I don’t know a lot about it - but I do know that it’s an enzyme that converts CBG to THC during ripening and that malted barely introduces enzymes. So maybe the enzymes also speed up THC to CBN conversion... just thinking out loud.

Happy day Stankhouse! :yummy:

“Stanktacular” would be a great name for a strain!

Happy Tuesday friends & neighbors!! Van......you & the Mrs grow some gorgeous plants! That Stankberry looks/sounds awesomeee! Hope this finds everybody high & happy! :passitleft:

Hey Amy and thanks! Yeah we don't slow down here too much. Thanks for the kind words on NL. I definitely believe that she has potential for a POTM if she finishes the way I want her to.

I think Ms Stank is feeling a bit better with her numbers, especially considering the quality. I liked it so much I dropped one of her offsprings seed yesterday. Its soaking in a paper towel now. Just one but figure it would be fun to see if it turned out a male or female.

Yeah I don't know what's going on with the early finish. I think maybe I will cut back on the amount for a while and see what the next few plants finish like. I love experimenting.

Hey Scottay, thanks for the kind words bud! I see ya lurking in the background most of the times, nice to hear from ya!

Hope all is well in your garden brother!

African Meltdown Seedling Day 1

Wanted to welcome the newest member of the Stank crew to everybody. It popped up this evening and uncurled a few hours later. Love the little curl to it. Not sure if its a fem or a regular so who the flip knows LOL!

Not much to say about them at this age. Been a while since we had one at this age! I love this stage!

Hindu Kush Veg Day 50

Ms Stank's girl is rolling along nicely. She's loving the 10 gallon pot. Figure she will probably get another 7-10 days and she will be flipped. She just got a nice big drink of ACT yesterday. I think Ms Stank is just working on creating a nice even canopy at this point. Its getting quite a number of tops on it. Its looking like it will be a pretty good size plant when its all said and done. Thought I got a bit of a lemon scent from her while I was taking pictures of her.
