Staker's 2017: SSSDH, Killer Purps, Dolato, Candyland & Breeder's Test Grows

Congrats on your harvests CS.... that Slurry and Chem look pretty tasty.

I'm glad I bought a pack of the Slurricane when they 1st came out. I've been running a few IHG gear and everything I ran so far I'm VERY happy with.

Your Chem wow that's a big ass bush bud! Good job.

Hope that Slurry smokes you up as good as she looks! Good stuff!

Had no idea any Chem could pack that much frost.....what a plant! :goodjob: Mg requirements can sneak up fast......tried last 2 runs without any Langbeinite in soil & both times grappled with Mg hungry plants. Never saw recent levels of Mg hunger when using Langbeinite so going back for sure. No reason for why I stopped except to test....lesson learned. Pro-active Mg has always been better than any post discovery treatments in my experience. :Namaste:

Your first run with her was really nice bud but this one blows it out of the water. Another run or two and you will have her dialed right in. I know what you mean with the smell on the SLurry. It is not truly fruity but it is a sweet scent. Twox always likens his favorite pheno to blueberry poptarts.

Well that's spot on with what I'm getting, I was thinking muffins though. Like a burnt butter smell too. So nice! :)

Thanks Stix! It's love for sure, she's treasured cut. :yummy::ganjamon:

Love me some Chem. That cut is just gorgeous.

She's an old tired girl, but she does shine when she needs too. I do baby her too. I've seen other cuts that seem easier to grow on the web, or more vigorous, but I'm sure a lot of them aren't the same genetic. I don't doubt that there are some crosses of her that are better all around, but the effect on this cut is just so dreamy and euphoric, it's worth the extra effort in growing her.

The Slurry is no joke lol. She's on par potency wise with the best. Effect is very good, I'm dam happy with it, I wasn't expecting to like it as much. :) I hope you find the same, cookie dom pheno. :high-five:

Thanks BL, she's not the prettiest on the block, but she knows some great tricks to make you feel good. She'll also show you where your ratios are in your soil, as if any are lacking, she show defics in record time lol.

That's a great tip about the Lang, I'm aiming for about 4:1 Ca:Mg instead of my usual 8:1 or higher. I've left it a bit low on Mg, because any more will prob push others out, so I'm expecting to irrigate as to not throw off my ratios that work. What form are you adding the Lang in, solid amends or liquid fert? I was weary of adding the Lang on top of all the other amends, as it's also got some K, and I'm back to higher coco content. Any K abundance or antagonist? :Namaste:

So far, I need 100ec of just Mg/S (epsomite) weekly irrigated on top of all Ca/Mg amends (1.5T/g Azomite, 1.5 tsp/g Elemental) and that can double to 200ec at wk3 flower.

She's due for a dose here. Keeps her lower nutritional stress, and keeps the V-trait mostly away in soil. Gotta be something shared between those two factors imo. I'm going to run her in full coco this fall. :)

The Diesel I just ran was full coco, and the product is much improved compared to my first few runs. Fed 1.4 the whole way through, once per day, DTW, Royal Gold Coco with all my usual goodies - high in minerals. Ran zymes, and microbes all the way too. Much more character and oil left at harvest. Yield off a tiny .75m plant should be 4+ zips easy.

Stank is epic, it's so loud right now. I have 3 of these Diesels in 5g pot about to flip with that big bush above. Happy dam daze. Loving the seeds too, Slurry and SSH are both reached for too. :Namaste:

Langbeinite is white crystalline mineral that looks much like epsom salts. Not aware of any other forms. BUT langbeinite doesn't instantly dissolve like epsom. Dissolves slowly. The 0-0-22 may scare some growers away....but that K number hasn't ever caused any problems for me like Ca or Mg antagonism. I should have mentioned that I've also recently seen more K hunger ~week 5-6.....also seldom seen when I used Langbeinite. Used to top dress some late veg into early flower & rarely saw unmet Mg & K requirements. :peace:

Much appreciate the tip my man, I'm sure I can work with that, and I'm not afraid at all. :) I amend with little to no K to begin with, so it will jive well. My humics are K based, as are other inputs, so I can modulate too. I do subscribe to the cascade effect of mineral release - slow, medium and long release minerals if possible. From soluble powdered elements to crab shell for Ca.... the Langenite should add more depth to that release spectrum for my Mg levels, as I have more quick than long in my dry amends, but for the ChemD, she'll need all the Mg I can find. Virtual Reps+ my friend. :high-five:

Slurricane, some nugs getting a trim for early smoking while the rest cures. I love seeing them in their natural state, with the sugar tips curling, a final flush for each indivual bud. I'll try to get some shots with a camera instead of the phone.

Dayum! My favorite kind of buds - those nice thumbtip nugs. Yum!

I like to pop a little of that off, roll up a gooey wad between my thumb and finger, take a good sniff, stuff that puppy in a pipe and incinerate it! Ya! :bongrip:

And then, a few minutes later, I like to do that again! :slide:

Very nice produce, Mr Staker.

Man those buds look absolutely tasty!!! I can only imagine how heavenly it must smell to walk thru your garden and smell those frosty plants! I'm sure you've listed it but carstaker what dry amends do you use in flower? I use about 75% fox farms ocean forest and cut it with perlite and worm castings and it's been getting me some nice harvests but I know I can get a more balanced soil.

Thanks Gray :passitleft: I'm with ya. Despite the purported health advantages of vaping, I'm holding out and still lighting it all on fire. :ganjamon:

I find FFOF to be quite balanced initially for NPK out of the bag, but has poor drainage, and will need a lot of trace and secondary nutrients, if you are growing demanding strains.

My mix off the top of my head, probably missing a couple things... is 5 parts FFOF, 3 Parts Basement mix coco, 2 parts added medium perlite. To that I add Elemental Ca/Mg and Fish Hydrol, Azomite, Mycos, EWC, Crab Shell, Gypsum, as a base soil. Some are fine in that mix, and some will need to be amended further. For final pot soil and some that are demanding like the Chem.. I'm adding Azos, Rhizo Force (dry nutes), Roots Uprising Foundation (dry nutes).

For instance the Roots has...
Fish Bone Meal, Oyster Shell Flour, Kelp Meal, Greensand, Non GMO Soybean Meal, Glacial Rock Dust, Non GMO Alfalfa Meal, Feather Meal, Bat Guano and Langbeinite. Also contains non plant food ingredient Humic Acid

I should also say that my mix is based on adding irrigations that have both macro and micro nutes. K and P are low so I can keep ratios/brix/health where the plants likes during the beginning of flower, and then I can irrigate them in when the plant calls for it. To a lesser extent that's true with Mg too. Stocking my pot with more K, P, Mg organic or otherwise, will cause problems with ratios, I'd have to up all the others too, and then I'd be in too rich/hot a soil for the earlier stages of flower. :reading420magazine:

those are some tasty looking testers cs damm ill bet its good nice and sugar covered very sweet this is what i want to do with some of that!:roorrip:
Great flavor too on the Slurry, she'll trick you into smoking too much :passitleft:then it's nap time. :)

tanks for info cs so that slurry would be good before bedtime weed?

So very much appreciated Carestaker! I believe I have alfalfa meal, kelp meal and humid acid on hand. Getting my notebook out here have some of this tangy Black D.O.G
:passitleft:Thanks J, she looks tasty as hell. Potent too. :)

It's firmly on the indica side of hybrid. My pheno was mainly cookies dom, so maybe less indica than some, but still it's something I reach for after 7pm. Feels like 80/20 I/S. She'll knock you down though if you're tired and :bong: too much ;)

Harvest Day 66 (last week) of flower, SSH F2 ... The last girl standing... well of course they came down a week ago, I just stripped the branches of the nugs, and they'll get a couple of days more of drying. I leave the tops off the drying containers for a couple more days now, then I'll seal, burp for a day, then seal with humidipak for a couple weeks.

She is stinking of lemon fuel, ammonia, and candied berry. Terps are huge, and she's really come on in the last week. Buds are a little fluffy, but they are better than average for this S/I ratio. Smoke is changing in maturity, and is getting a bit better on this pheno. Hard to say who the winner will be. :) LOL. Not that I kept a cut, no room for another female. ;) Well, that's probably not true haha.
