Sqwheels' Garden - Bonsai Style

re: Sqwheels' Garden - Bonsai Style

Weekly update on the flower room...

Beautiful ... you could never tell you had any problems at all!!!

PS I just rooted a bunch in a cup ... thanks again!

re: Sqwheels' Garden - Bonsai Style

Hi X,

Thanks a lot...I think they look pretty good too. And yes...nice payback after all the hassles, for sure. The AI looks like she'll be finishing on schedule...her trics are almost completely cloudy, with just a few amber. And she has lots of what I call *sweat*...when looking thru my little microscope if you look closely under the trics (which all look like *mushrooms* to me) I can see lots of glistening on the leaves themselves. Does that make any sense? I don't hear many people talk about this...do you see this on your plants?

Thanks for looking in on me...sorry, I've not been online much...not feeling too well, and the girls are taking most of my energy right now.

Hope you are well, you're in my thoughts daily.

First thank you so much for thinking of me - very kind of you. I'm doing okay, but it's been tough lately. :thanks:

Yes, I know exactly what you are talking about! I've been looking at trichomes a lot lately due to the fact I was so close to harvest time. There are 2 kinds of trichomes, actually. The ones I believe that you are referring to are called peltate trichomes, and I don't think they have THC, but I might be wrong on that one.

I found this image and description when doing a search for peltate trichomes:

"Cannabis leaf surface. Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of the surface of a
cannabis (Cannabis sativa) leaf. The pointed hairs are called lithocyst cells. They contain cystolyths (calcium carbonate crystals). Glandular cells called trichomes are present in the foreground. They are of two types: capitate trichomes have stalks, whereas peltate trichomes are rounded and closer to the leaf surface. Trichomes secrete a resin containing tetrahydrocannabinol."

Hi Buckshot,

Thank you, I agree, they look pretty good now. I have to give credit to BPN for that. I think they really like Corey's concoctions.

I'm so glad that simple cloning method works for you. I've been using it for months, but I will admit I actually had to throw a White Rhino clone away...it just wouldn't root. About 4 weeks and all it had was a bunch of those white nubs all over it but not a single hair anywhere. So it doesn't always work. And right now I have two Blueberry Gum cuttings that aren't doing so well, which really bums me out...I gave away the mom.

Thanks for looking in...It's always nice to see you.

Hi Corey,

:thanks:

Its those wonderful nutrients you've been mixing up that's done the trick.

I do have an issue with the Blue Widow tho...more about that in my update, later.

Thanks for checkin in on me...I appreciate you following

Hi X,

Wow that picture is sooo cool!!! Thanks for posting it. Yeah! that's what I'm talking about.

And MORE...the crystal like structures too! Especially all over the red hairs. They make me think of the underground crystal caves I've see on Discovery channel. Or that alien planet in the movie armageddon with all the weird geo structures

Have you noticed too how the lithocyst don't change color, and the peltate trics show amber first? Maybe I spend a little too much time looking at my girls :dreamy:

Thanks again for posting that...you always add such great info to my journal.

As always, hoping you and yours are well.

Sending good vibes

:high-five:

Hi Folks
:ciao:

Time for another weekly update...I took these photos over the weekend so they reflect 34-36 days in flower. This weekend also marked 42 days 12/12 so they all got defoliated. Some before and afters and a little bud porn....

Aurora Indica...
after defol, I didn't get any before on this one, it was an after thought
:tokin:
DSCN33622.JPG

She's the smallest of the 3, with only two main stalks but I think she'll produce nicely, her buds are all stacked tightly and her nugs are good and hard, not airy at all.
DSCN33633.JPG

and her flowers are covered with trics...all of which are currently cloudy, haven't seen an amber one yet. She's suppose to finish at 55 days (12-7) hopefully I'll start seeing those golden mushrooms soon. She doesn't really have a distinct smell tho, not sure why

Blue Widow...before defol

after
DSCN3370.JPG

it doesn't look like I picked anything off...but trust me I did, between these two plants my fingers were soo sticky I had to stop, I couldn't even roll it up into a ball after, it was just too gooey, like super glue
DSCN33722.JPG

her buds are covered with trics, mostly clear, some cloudy, but to the naked eye it doesn't glisten white/clear like sugar, its gold, very cool...sorry I couldn't really get the color to show in these pics. her nugs are also nice and tight and she smells like a mix of fuel oil and old english lemon polish

Wonder Woman has become a monster...before defol

after

her flowers are also really tight, one of the things I've always liked about this strain, and she smells like fruit and spice...it's a wonderful mix of smells that always makes my mouth water

Both the Blue Widow and the Wonder Woman have until mid December for harvest, with a little cure it should time out that I have new weed for New Years Eve
:yahoo:

I can't wait...I've smoked all of my *good* harvests. I've had to resort to smoking the hermie harvest I had last year...it's bad, no flavor, airy buds, weak high. It sucks. A friend and I were just discussing how we take our bud for granted...don't realize how good it is until your forced to smoke something else.

On the veg side...Blue Widow is showing signs of pre flower hairs, and a K def...I think

Hi OMM,

It's so great to see you ... I'm behind on journals (what's new, right) Last I read in yours was shortly after the trip to the hospital with Jo. I hope things have quieted down for the two of you, at least a little.

Things move slow in my journal...you could miss a few weeks and catch up in just minutes...but I'm sure glad you stopped by.

I'll be by tonight and try to catch up. I've been feeling poorly and haven't spent much energy on anything but keeping up with the girls.

Hi Sq. Jo is doing OK. Still laying down most of the time. She is addicted to TV, so it's just right for her. :high-five:

I hope you're feeling better. Just visited Xlr8 and he is feeling poorly too. One might think this is a Medical MJ site!

Don't worry about coming by...nothings changed, except me hitting 3 inhalers 3 - 4 times a day. They seem to help.. Take care girl! :Namaste:

re: Sqwheels' Garden - Bonsai Style

I always have liked Wonder Woman (maybe it was the golden lasso)......yours is definitely looking to be fantastic.

re: Sqwheels' Garden - Bonsai Style

Hi OMM,

It's good to know things aren't any worse...Have you seen the urologist yet? curious about those test results. Hope all that goes well...I'll catch up with journals one of these days. I'm sorry to hear X isn't feeling well. I'll try to get by to see his latest today.

If the inhalers are helping that's great...are you still off cigs? I really should quit those one of these days too.

Good vibes my friend, take care of yourself

:Namaste:
