2 days later.think big did give some stretch last night so expecting more tnite during lights off;) killer kush auto has had all bottom growth removed .make watering alot easier and the plant will enjoy the wind between her leafs;) all other plants happy and growing strong.cnt be bad.i have everything dialed in now for perfect plant health;)

and im stocked up on the lightmix .this soil beats any soil around for cannabis plants.pure magic for plant growth and bud formation is something no other soil can do.i have started a bean in this soil to show what i mean.all in good time;)

Led thanks mate.that plant is dutch passion think big auto. She has enjoyed been topped and later lstd.she does stand even taller this morning good stretch again lastnight and is now flowering.defo some big buds to come.and plants are all enjoying goliath .and goliath is still a good height away from the plants.light is a beast.i cnt wait to see the weight diffrence in the buds.compared to what im used to getting when i was using 1600 watt basic leds. Time will tell happy growing;)
 
And here is killer kush auto.27 days old today.doesnt look like a freak anymore she is a beauty.left untopped this plant.but yesterday had all bottom growth removed and a few fans.here she is

I ordered my Goliath today!

For my first grow I think I'm going to go with autos. I don't want to wait too long for my first yield. As a beginner I may get impatient. 2-3 months as opposed to 4 months to wet my lips.:joint:

What is a good pot size for autos? Is 7 Gallon too big? 3 Gallon seems to small...but what do I know (nothing yet). I was thinking 5 Gallon...

What's the sweet spot container size size for Autos?

There's gonna be lots of questions going forward from me Beast...hope you don't mind me chiming in on this thread.

depends on how tall you want your plants. I'm a newbie but the general rule of thumb is you get 1ft per Gallon in height. so a 5gallon pot should grow a 5feet tall plant

Beautiful looking plant. I don't know,,,, myself, everything to me says never top an auto flowering plant. Regardless what peoples say, it has to slow it down afew days of that ever so precious veg time involved with autos. Anytime you pinich that terimal top it has to recover.
I have seen the beautiful plants you've put out. I just wonder if you might not get alittle xtra in the yield department, if you was to do LSTing over topping? Looking great Keepem Green
 
Norcaliwood I think it depends on strain . I am currently growing RoyalQueen Seeds Nl automatic and Amnezia Automatic and they have been topped at the 3rd node . They have gone 36 days until they showed sex and its been another month since then and I think they have another 1 month to go so that brings to total time to over 3 months , 2 of flowering . Also , I am growing them with some photos so I have switched to 12/12 2 days after I saw sex so I can force the photos to flower . So I am skeptical about the light cycle too but having nothing to compare to I don t know what to say . I honestly don t know if they could have done any better with the xtra 6 hours of light .

Norcal topping doesnt stall the auto at all if done at the correct time.makes the plant grow in a diffrent way.and i get more yield than if i wss to let the plant grow normal.i get more dominant fat colas of all around the same size.and snipping and pinching an auto also has no ill effect, if she is established and big and strong 3 weeks plus of life.just makes them stronger and they grow even faster;) hope this helps.happy growing
 
Well some great stretch again lastnight during lights out.think big and killer kush gave some stretch so soon be smoking some smelly buds;)

So had a look back at pics to get the exact dates so i know how old these plants are.so think big and killer kush auto both the same age 33 days old today so nearly 5 weeks old.og 3 bears auto at the back right is 22 days old today so 3 weeks old.and in the middle is kannabia seeds mikromachine auto is 12 days old today. And day 1 for the new entry in the square pot is think big again but sits in biobizz lightmix.and the double potted plants are duych passion autos but unsure what they are or what age.but both have shown to be female so a few buds to come;)happy growing every1;)
