Due to my current mood Im gonna try to be consise and dont mean to offend.
If you think my de-screening an auto voids my opinion, so be it. Your WW is much closer to my NLxBB than to my Blue Mammoth. And I never suggested you SCRoG anything. Im still LST'ing so Im kinda missing the corelation between the two. Good weed btw.


PROJECT "X" UPDATE:
Ive tryed a new germ technique and IMO its a failed experiment. Even tho the bean sprouted in 3 days. I bought some little kiddie type plastic domes from MG (on sale for $.50 each) that come with some type of starter medium kinda like coco. When you water it they expand and kinda snug up around the bean. Problem is it has very lite nutes in it. I wanted to see if a bean would sprout hella fast in them and It didnt meet my expectations. And with the nutes, I dont think its worth the risk. Time will tell if the nutes kill the seedling or not, but they are all listed in the .15 range so it may hurt but not kill the bean.

Now heres the good part: I got a Bubba Kush seedling working. :) My pseudo plan is to top/fim this bad boy like thiers no tomorrow. I wanna see with my own two eyes how bushy I can get this little f*cker. :) Im still gonna run a few autos, matter of fact I havea little plan there as well, but this will help me for future runs of photo plants when I get a proper setup. IF I get a proper setup. :rofl:

As to MOTM:
Yes its a little dissapointing to not be nominated. But my contrubutions pale compared to some, if not all of the nominees. And to be frank, Im kinda a pain in the ass to some of the mods Im sure. :) Spimpin' aint easy folks! Im gonna do me. If that means getting some laughs an pissing off a mod here or there, Thats just how I roll. :):)

the best way to stand out for nomination is to spend time helping in the frequently asked question journals and the pest and disease section, their mods are busy over their as their are many people asking for help but sometimes it goes unanswered, so ive been spending time in them journals as if a grower needs help then thats the place they will be mainly asking for help,

plus if you have tried a product from the sponsors or had a great customer service from them then promoting it really helps, after all its the sponsors that put the prizes up month after month, other sites dont have prize packages like that and the sponsors wouldnt do it if they wasnt getting the recognition for their products,

i promote herbies all the time, cant beat his customer service cant say a bad word about the man, a true gent always willing to help,

@Spimp has your auto started showing sex then now, sorry if you all ready told us this but i read to many journals so hard to remember everything
 
Great journal! Little bummed about the dream catcher not working out because it looked like a super easy SCROG/LST but I totally understand the need to adapt and I commend you on your willingness to try new things.

Personally I've had great success on my first Auto grow using LST. I was able to get all my main stems to do almost a complete corkscrew around my 3gal pots. I did take my tie downs off a bit early so my canopy isn't as even as I'd like but I did get quite a few colas on them.

I am a new grower so not sure how much this is going to affect my yields. Ultimately LST was necessary for me because I have limited height in my tent. Also some of my autos are "super" autos I believe so that may be why mine worked out so well. I actually even broke the main stem on one of my Berry Ryder's and now she's my largest plant. I think what happened is by unintentionally stunting her I extended her veg time but this is a complete guess.

Anyways sorry for the huge post just thought I'd share my own LST experience with Autos.

spimp im sure the grow method would work well with certain autos, but its finding one that grows long enough before it starts flowering, big bang auto is a good yielder so that might be a good option if you try again in the future,

ive just spent the last 5 days collecting pollen from a huge kc45 auto male, again grown under 12-12 and it is nearly tripple the size of the same strain grown under 24-0 and 20-4, ill keep collecting pollen as its the best male kc45 auto ive grown, ive got a kc45 auto female growing so ill pollenate all that plant to produce lots of seeds, plus ive also got a bubble auto which is suppose to be a bubble gum but the auto version, so depending on how it grows i may put pollen on that as well, if the growth and yield is small then adding the huge kc45 auto pollen might make it an interesting mix, only time will tell,

if you all check the contests page we have a new sponsor who has put up some prizes in each of the contests, sounds like his products are pretty decent and the grow pics look like it works well, its a good nutrient idea as you dont need to mix different bottles to get the feed schedule you need for the age of the plants,

Any contrubutions I make here pale n comparison to 100's of other memebers. I mostly regurgatate information and then get baked and come up with random ideas. ;)

:rofl: Just a joke sir. :) It is a bummer about the Hoopty. Espicially since she really isnt getting any bigger since I unleashed her. Pretty sure dropping my bean made me just freak out a little and i over thought it.
