This is gonna be a long post but Ill put cliffs at the end for ya.
I have returned from my Campout alot earlier than anticipated. It was a very unpleasant experience for me. This is a family campout we have had for 10+ years and this may have been the last one I attend.
Firstly, Momma Spimp was very sick. I onl spoke to her for 3 mins and the rest of her time was sleeping in the camping trailor or in the facilities. She is the core of the campout as she plays hostess and mediator. It was not the same without her.
There were probably 30 people in attendance and from the moment I arrived, I felt like I was imposing. Many of the family members had brought there families and he normal Comunial Attitude was very much lacking. The standard has always been bring what you can, but everyone shares everything at the campsite. Drink, Smoke, Snacks, you name it. Once we are in camp, we always provide for each other. Not this year.
Groups were sneaking off to Smoke. Noone offering anyone else any beverages or even a place to sit. Some were evn on the verge of fighting because someone put too much wood on the fire and he felt like it was His wood. If my children were not with me, Several people would have felt the Wrath of Spimp via a well placed right cross. I have put those days behind me, but at 5am, 10 feet from your tent people are pushing and shoving, it was a feat of mental strength to not go 'wreck shop'.
I brought 10g's of primo HG to smoke everyone out. In a 15 person smoke ring, I loaded 8 consecutive bowls only to be repayed my my brother blazing one J. That was it. To be fair everyone kept asking me to sneak off to smoke with them, but thats not what this is supposed to be about. I loved seeing my family but the attitudes and self centered behavior was overwhelming.
OK, heres a mood lightening event. Not 5 mins after arriving home Poppa Spimp called me outside. Before Icould ask what is up he says "So I had to go look at what you got. I need to teach you some things son."
He proceedes to tell me about topping and tap roots and pot sizes etc etc. It was awesome.
I told him I needed small pots because of the small box but I had a tent now so I can get bigger pots. He says look, Im off work this week lets get this shit set up right cause it takes the same time to grow 4 oz as 4 g's. He said I did a good job topping Gizmo but Gitmo looks lie I f'd it up. Guess he may know a little more than I gave him credit for. He also just happens to have been acarpenter for 20+ years so Im thinking the Ghetto reflector may need a carpenter's touch.

Society was not invited to my campout, but they showed up. Thats ok, Im back in my controlled environment and because of thier attitudes, I now have much more smke than I thought I would.

The trip probably or should I say definitely could have been better, but it was a prelude for the welcome home son committee. Poppa Spimp might have never stepped in if you hadn't left. By the way, did he run the light show while you were away?

No sir. I put the photos in the back bath which recieves morning sun, and the autos Stayed in the Ghetto. Looks like they got a little hot and wilted some. Im about to address that while im serving my suspension from the UB.

Gitmo has pretty side branch colours. Iv had that before and never had a problem but I think in mcloadies journal he was saying its a sign of a certain nutrient deficiency.....

Yep. Repotting and new Tenting in the near future. BTW, If I feed 1 tablesspoon per gallon of the D&S every feed, and they gave me 5 pounds of each cycle's worth, I may have to grow more plants to use it all!

Im thinking the purple stemsage is a mag defiency which should be clared up in the next week or so after I repot and get my medium more dialed in.

im getting amazing results with dogget simpson nutrients,
ive not tried bag 1 yet as you have to mix some of that into the new soil,
but bag 1 looks like a dark charcoal type stuff, very dusty and will turn your fingers black,
bag 2 is like a bright green sugary type substance
bag 3 looks like washing powder,
i started at half the stated dose and had no problems so bumped it up to the full dose and been using it every time i water the plants, so far no problems and the plants are doing very well, even the dwc is doing well of it, im pretty confident its one of the best nutrients i have used, so glad i got the chance to try it.
when i plant my blue mystic probably tuesday ill plant 1 in regular compost and the other with the bag 1 mix added to it and see how they do, but so far the nutrients seem to work very well indeed, im more than happy with them, im sure it can be pushed to a higher dose but ill see the grow ive got in flower now through and i wont push it for the next grow just so i can see how it does from start to finish and check if any strains have problems or any salt build up over a long period, but if everything is ok then ill start bumping the dose up on a test plant from clone and see how it compares with a clone on the stated dose, but a few months before i get to that stage,
when you cut the bags open try not to cut to much off the top as if you cut it to close to where it seals its difficult to get it to seal properly and im pretty sure bag 2 might dry out as it seems a sort of sugary green sticky type substance, its not powdery like the other 2 so not sure if it will dry out, so go easy when you cut the top off as i cut bag 3 a bit close to the seal and it is hard to close,

Hey Donpaul.p I also opened up my goodies today.
I made a soil mix of Perlite, Vermiculite, Bone meal, Soil and added 1/3 C of the Stage 1. It is very 'charcoal podewry' with what appears to be vermiculite looking substance. I thought it loked alot like Coarse Ground Pepper.
It was a little over 5 gals of soil mix and they called for 1/3 c which leaves me enough for many many more mixes. I plan on repotting basically evrything this week since my tent has Arrived. I may switch over to straight stage 2 and 3 where appropriate. It will be interesting to see how the autos are affected.
Speaking of autos, As you know I repotted one auto completly into a medium of 90% perlite after the watering issue. The soil auto I left alone is showing slower growth and not taking the nutriens near as well as the one I repotted. The soil plant in theory should be doing much better given it has had the same exact nutrients and frequency and has never been 'repot stressed'. I literally got the other down to the roots and rinsed them before repotting into the perlite. for afewdays the repot didnt look very good but in the last two weeks it has been passing the other in every way. And its in a smaller pot.

my autos seems to do really well with the new nutrients, on the old nutrients i was using i had to cut the dose back but the autos are taking the stated dose with no problems, so my auto dwc is the same as well taking full dose so im pretty impressed with it and the plants seem to grow like crazy,
its hard to say with the slow auto, it could be not enough oxygen at the roots, maybe the soil is not drying out as quick as it should be, slow growth in soil is usually down to lack of oxygen at the roots, if your getting other problems showing up like a def then it could be a ph issue or salt build up at the roots, but im sure you would notice if you had def or something like that as you seem to have a good idea of whats going on,
