Sphnx's Norcal Outdoor Season

Wow Sphnx! They're just exploding! I'm excited to watch the training through the wire. Gosh.... I'm as envious as the rest of the gallery. :laughtwo: They look so healthy and happy in the raised beds. Looks like you're on your way to that chainsaw harvest. Lol!

Just wait, there's so many more days and nights of heat. Perfect for stretching!! I may have misspoke about when they start flowering.. going off what people say around here it was august... but looking at the light schedule it doesn't hit 12/12 here until september. So that's a lot more veg time than I originally thought. The people around here don't grow big plants... they use the mineral water from Wells and just let them do their thing, so maybe august is when the plants have had enough and 13hrs of light is enough to fully flower...? I dunno... we'll see what happens. I really hope I can get an extra month of veg lol increase my yields a bit more, I'd say. Thanks for stopping by SS. Much love :)

Today was a hot one, I'm a little fried lol
The 350 gallon reservoir worked out great besides the unnoticed bullet hole at the 200gal mark, so it looks like I'll be throwing some epoxy on it. All of the rock beds received around 75-80 gallons of water balanced to 6.1

I skipped the boxes near the rock beds, I decided to let the roots search all day. They'll get watered in the morning.

The yard wasn't watered today for the same reason as the boxes. Seems like they're likin what I'm doing. The past few waterings have been just water. I'm going to start using Great White powder mychorrizae in the next couple waterings.. I don't have a ton left, and money is a little tight at the moment, so it needs to be stretched out a bit.

Dude,,, 24 plants, in the ground, plenty of water, full sun, and I 'might be wrong but looks to have abit of that hilly southern exposure, all I can say is I hope you do have afew ladders around because thems are going to be monsters period. I envy you, not only for having such a great place to grow, BTW beautiful place, but for having the gettdy up and go to do it. Yea they are going to be monsters, and I get the feeling it's not your first rodeo? I did my little apprenticeship' program around clear lake area. but got abit bigger down Central Cali ways from the Bay to Donners. But I always called Northern Cali God's Country. Unless it was Crescent City looking out but anyways....... I'm sure looking forward to seeing how this one goes. Hope you don't mind if I reask questions. I look at pic's, Seeing I never learnt to read... I'd imagine you got some great strains going. Here, I can only grow herbs acclimated to here, or the 'faster' strains. I get mold bad here. My harvests have to come in pretty fast, Oct 1st or so, before the rains germinate all the spores... But I try every year. GL and Keepem Green

All the hard work will pay off around October.:thumb:.. They grow so fast outside, everytime I pop in here they looking much larger. How tall are those giant metal cages?.. I have a feeling that they are bigger than they look in the pics.

I believe these will be pulled closer to november.. but we'll see what happens. The metal cages are 5ft tall roughly 5ft in diameter. Most of the plants are basically done reverting. Spitting out 5-7 finger leaves again so they should get even bigger by the day.

I have serious grow envy. I'm, just getting started, also Norcal, but urban, backyard in a portable greenhouse. Hoping my girls get to be half as nice as yours.

Those are looking great! Those will get pretty big in those pots man, no doubt about it.

This is my first outdoor rodeo... but I've been growing indoors, commercially for over a decade. I've had to figure out how to turn this 22 acre ranch into a grow room... quite the task, but it'll be worth it in the end. The biggest plants in the yard are facing south, the rock beds are facing east but get sun all day long... Ive never had an outdoor apprenticeship, but I can hop in the ring with anyone, if you catch my smoke trail. Ill be using my indoor recipe, designed for high yields and unbelievable amount of long trichomes.

I'm pretty concerned about mold, seeing these will be pulled around november, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed and begging the spirits to give us a clear round. But yeah dude, reask questions, I don't mind :)

Nice looking Bush .. I have topped mine twice and super cropped twice . . gotta love monster fucking colas . .

I have some training ideas for these.. I'm not topping for a while though, maximum amount of tops ;) but I'm really looking forward to the colas longer than my arms...

Thanks for stopping by everyone! This is the most action this journal has gotten so far. Much love and respect.

An inoculation of Actinovate sure wood'nt hurt. I haven't followed your grows before,, but some of them long term organic shit will never hurt. Soil costs are one of the biggies. So it makes sense to come up with some kind of LOS medium. Living Organic Soils. Once you get a good soil mix growing, you just have to feed the microb's. This Actinovate, is another fungus like Mycros, can be used as a drench which will help any wilts, like Verticillium or Fusarium. They lay claim to help with bud rott also. Even for PM as a spray. Man 22 acreas...... You can sure do alot with that. 24 plants, even if you get in 75% of the crop,, you will do well.. As long as the market holds. Here,, everyone and their bother grows,, and prices are the cheapest anywhere. Hell my top shelf goes for 150 here. Mayby 200 for my personal shit....

This soil is very living.. 4 types of mycelium fruiting, the soil list is on the first post I believe, but it's very organic and very full of bacteria. It's blended with coco coir and tons of perlite, so by the time these go to flower, I'll have to feed them. I'd recommend skimming through and checking out the pics of my indoor grows brother. I'm incredibly proud of my product. It tends to stand out from the rest.

Check out the bottom link with tons of pictures. That's a good one. It won't let me paste the link for some reason.

Next year, I'm planning on drill in a new well and fencing off an acre or two for a big area. Right now, everything is pretty spread out, I'd like to have just one grow area.

This Jedi Northern Lights x Triple OG Kush is blowing up. I guess she's liking the 155 cubic feet of room ;)

That is one amazing bush! Gives my little indoor plant some size envy :laughtwo:

Hahaha! Yeah man, she's got quite a bit of room down there.

Looking great pal they've grown so big since I last them hope your proud of your ladies

I'm more than proud of these ladies, and it's still early in the season. They're getting bigger and bigger everyday.. at this rate, they will be the biggest plants I've ever grown.

Next year, all of them will be going into 150 cubic feet or more... seedlings or clones will be bigger before I transplant outside, too. Bigger reservoirs, fenced in acre... it's going to be amazing.

I'm down for watching that season sounds like a good challenge for yourself

It was 95f today and it felt cool. I finally got around to moving a couple yards of soil and topsoil and transplanted 4 mystery seedlings into a garden bed in the yard. I'm not sure of the strains, but they're from the dankest bud I found in Reno...
