Sparks Pops Beans Indoors, In Soil, Under Boards: 'Bout Time!

Hey Sparks! I'll pull up a chair in the back here if thats ok. I saw you post in a couple Kit journals and then read you like soil and lazy so figured I'd give a soft plug for Docs kit, there's nothing easier, results are fantastic and it's affordable. If you want any more info or have any questions let me know.

Loving the strain selection you made and damn you know how to pack that little tent! Nice work! I'm really digging the smell of my Black Cherry Punch IHG dryong low and slow, yum! My Slurricane was a runt but the boss said she'd be happy if that was the only strain she ever had which is very high praise and she also really likes Sugar Cane which is Slurricane X Platinum. @Mr. Krip is just harvesting some amazing IHG plants and @TheGreenYeti just chopped an amazing Slurricane.

Looking forward to these flowering! :yummy:

Welcome aboard Weenmeoff! Thanks for stopping by! Pull up a seat and have something to smoke on! Im pretty happy with the strains ive got going right now too. Probably going to let go of the Purple Trainwreck, and Tahoe OG for now so i can keep popping new beans till we find a couple of good keepers to put on full rotation. Next is going to be some feminized seeds. Slurricane ix bred by InHouse Genetics, Wifi#43 × Bubba Kush bred by CSI Humboldt, Sugar Black Rose bred by Delicious seeds, and either a Blue Dream, Chocolate Mint OG (again), or a Shiva Skunk bred by Sensi seeds. We'll see...
Anywho, thanks for the heads-up on the other journals growing Slurricane, or Platinum Slurricane. I'll probably be checkin those out right now. I wanted to buy Platinum Dosidos, Platinum Kushbreathe, and Platinum Slurricane! But shit at $300 a pack, if and when they're i stock, well shit thats alot of money for an old blue collar working stiff such as myself. So i wait, and look for sales. Ain't like i need anymore seeds! Lord knows....lol!

I dont know who gets more excited on tea day, me or the plants! :)

Lmao I no right hahaha. I used to be the same way growing only los (Coots style from buildasoil) till i ended up getn shots in my back which was supposed to take away the dam pain only ended up making another type of pain. So cudnt keep up with the mixxing huge bales each round plus lugging huge buckets of water/tea everywhere lol. Well with docs kit u stil kinda gotta mix alil each round but the piles not so big so alil easier on my back. Altho once I quit doing los I had to start balancing the dam ph an man tht sux I hated tht switch lol. For the longest time I kept 2 plants strictly for myself growen los style cause 2me nuthn beats good organic buds. An with docs highbrix kit it blends the all organic amendment method with the bottle method but still stays true to all organic. N once I made the jump never went back an I'm currently in process of converting my whole garden to highbrix lol. But yea so far the plants are lookn amazing I cant wait to see them flower out

Don't know how I missed IHG + LOS Coots style grow but better late than never as they say.

Congrats on your harvest. I was thinking it was a little early to toss in the hat on those plants going down the stretch. Sometimes they just wanna do their thing ain't nothing we can do about it. You did good leaving the VEG plants in small containers. Now they're off and running.

Glad you and your better half over the flu and feeling better - was a bad one this year. I never get sick ever, I got that flu and was sick for 2 weeks. There was 1 or 2 days I could hardly get out of bed. ffs. Plants were on there own.

Sub'd for the flower pics lol

Sparks whats that new light with the long strips you just opened a box of??
That looks interesting.

Slurricane - good stuff. I have the original and the IX version in seeds and ran a few runs of it already. Buffalato was almost exactly the same in every way so if you see those seeds on sale they will be pretty close to Slurricane.

If it was me, just pop some more IHG gear and leave the Blue Dream in the fancy seed holder. They grow BIG so there's at least 1 good reason.

Blaze not sure on Docs kit being 100% organic but I'm sure its close enough. He would tell you if you ask him??

Thanks for stopping by Bobbrown! I think i seen you or someone else here at 420 growing Buffalato and is what got me looking at Inhouse Genetics in the first place! (: So far, so good. Although, i just found another male. Jellybreathe bx1 #2. Bummer cuz she...well now he, has the best build and structure, in my opinion. Now im thinking i should maybe find a place to let him finish up and do his thing to collect some pollen. Not sure if i try to put him down in the hallway linen closet with a light would that be far enough away from the flower girls? I dunno...we'll see... i think Jellybreathe #1 and #4 are also male now that i look at them. But they could use another day or two to tell for sure. I'll post some pic's below so ya'll can tell me what you think.

A picture of the girls on day 6 of 12/12 and im starting to weed out the males, no pun intended. The one showing balls is Jellybreathe bx1 #2. The one that i like the structure of, most. Possiblity that old Sparky boy here may get into creating and collecting some pollen. We'll see.

Hey Sparks..I dont know. Fvck those males aint good for nothing I don't think.

Sometimes I take a young male and put him in the flower room for a week or so. It takes a few weeks for his balls to pop so I let the ladies get all hot and bothered until its chop time for the little fellow.

If you find a good keeper in there just take clones and reverse it. All your work is already done. Male pollen takes a few runs at least to find a keeper. It's a lot of work.

Cloning aint even easy on these well worked hybrids.

If that male has a shit ton of trichomes = keeper. Look at the leaves up close and see what the trichomes look like.

Your plants are looking like the picture of health. Good job buddy.

Thanks Bob! I do appreciate you watching and chiming in. Bad news though...lots and lots of males! Lol! Cutting down males as we speak! Of the 9 remaining plants, i for sure found at least 4 more males! 3 of the 4 Jellybreathe bx1 are male, one female. At least i got one. One of the 2 Burnt Toast by Raw genetics is male. Again, at least i got one. 3 of 3 Platinum Silk are male. Bummed about that. Wanted at least one. And the Mac#5 ×Royal Goo, one of two is a for sure female, maybe both!
So, if anyone is keeping track out of 15 reg seeds, 3 Burnt Toast never even popped so started out with a dozen seedlings. Now down to 1 female Jellybreathe bx1 (#3), 1 female Burnt Toast, and 1Royale w/ Cheese female, maybe 2.
So down to 4 plants total! One is questionable...but should have him/her situated in the next day or two. Decided that im not going to save any males at this time. And i will be running some fems next round.

This is where a compost pile or worm bin would come in very handy. Im sure that all of the good minerals and meals that were up taken through the plants from the living organic soil, through the roots, up through the limbs, and into the leaves, would be great cut up so that it could be broken down again by worms, and microbes, and enzymes. Need to step up my game.
