Flower Day 61

Happy New Year to all of you.

Rather than work on leaves yesterday, I just gave everything some water. Set 'em up bartender....water all around please. Other than that I just stayed high. I finally finished those Chemdawg micro budlets from the harvest that were oven dried and decarbed. SweetSue might be on to something there.

The grow is now exhibiting my style I guess...just growing where they will and if leaves turn yellow, so be it. I do need to clean them up as a mold preventive. Will look at trichomes again for the Classic girls from seed.

Enjoy your day! :bong::rollit::bongrip::Love:

Flower Day 62

I almost took a break from this Chemdawg that was harvested about a week ago but I ground some more buds. Such good stuff. Smells wonderful. My current personal favorite which means I need to somehow compare it with my Jack Herer.

I just sat and stared in the clone tent this morning. I'm guessing that I will be able to shut down for a while by the Ides of March. Maybe sooner. I do have that limiting factor of 1 and 1.75 gallon plastic pots. With what I think is also excessive perlite in my mix.

I have a theory about early deficiencies or toxicities. I believe that one of the easiest places that a grower will skimp is the labor required to properly mix all that goes into the process. lembatoast spends a lot of time mixing and Doc Bud uses a cement mixer. Anyway, I believe the mixing process needs to be thorough and often. Otherwise the soil mix will potentially have hot, warm, cool and cold spots, figuratively speaking. Not really heat or cold mind you. Think of it as the consistency of the minerals and nutrients added to your base - peat or coco or whatever. If amendments don't get mixed with the base it will lack available nutrients (cold).

It's just a theory. I'll just remember to do a better job mixing my stuff.

I got a one day break from the high humidity which returned with the rain yesterday. RH spiked to 59% now down to 50% with a few hours of lights on. The dehumidifier is running again. Trichomes are just beginning to cloud so harvest will be this week. I could take them today and feel good about it. Colas so heavy they're falling over and I'm just not liking it under these conditions. I'll just keep checking the buds for any early signs of bud rot. I just don't need that problem. They will not get any more water.

The Classic clones are just bulking up a little and I really like the clone structure. So pretty, especially the 2 Chemdawgs. The ASD clones have the showy leaves almost reflecting autumn colors with just a bit of purple. The others are showing their yellowing leaves (grower watering deficiency )

I took a Panama bud about the size of a shot glass and looked at it with the digital microscope. Here's a few pics showing mostly clear trichomes. Top buds show more cloudy than this. The trichomes are really swollen and most with huge heads. I'm not exactly waiting patiently for mostly cloudy and some amber. Nope, I really want to get on with it.

It's possible that Chemdawg is making me feel a little paranoid. Yep...that's possible.

Hi MJ,

Just wanted to start the new year off by saying thank you for journaling and all the help you provided to me. Super grateful and wishing you a great year. From the looks of your grow it was super successful though waiting to chop and smoke is my hardest to be patient lol. Hang in there and no paranoia!

Thanks again and keep up the great work! One day I hope to grow up to be like MJ. :)

Flower Day 63

Today is harvest day. I've only seen a slight bit of amber but they are ready. Heavy assed colas are drooping all over the place. RH jumped to overnight high of 58% and now running just below 50% with a few hours of lights on and the dehumidifier has been running all morning. I just don't want to risk this grow to any bud rot.

The clones are growing buddage nicely and I can use the stakes to support those 2 Panamas. Have a great day folks... I have a little work to do. :bongrip:

Yes...It was another one of those projects that take a while. I did catch a nice buzz from some Pineapple Express this morning. I also burned the scissor hash which I also wasn't prepared for. 30 minutes after I had made and eaten a batch of chocolate chip cookies.
