SOGgy Daze Ahead For Mr. Krip!

Hiya Kripster!

Nice insight on cloning and what you've done to dial it in. I've come to similar conclusions in my now brief experience. The smaller ones took a lot longer, and the larger ones, specifically from "sucker shoots" seem to root quickest - I've been getting roots in 7-8 days on those in my Rapid Rooters...

Hey Mr.K,

Your babies look wonderful...congrats on getting that all worked out.

Yeah!! Lucy, I've heard so many good things...I'm excited!

:high-five:

Thanks, Sqwheels! :thanks:

I'm excited for you, too! We ALL love Lucy!

Thanks, Brother!

Yeah, I saw a debate on another thread as to which was quicker, growing from clone, or growing from seed. I've been swamped with work, so didn't really have a chance to reply (at least, not yet!) but I can say, pretty much without question, that if you're good at cloning, cloning is MUCH quicker.

Granted, it takes a week or two for a clone to root, which is about the same amount of time it takes a seed to sprout.

But, if you take a larger clone, say 6" for example, then, by the time the clone roots, you already have a 6" plant. It can take a seedling a full month, or more, from planting just to get to that same height.

For the first time in months, I have NO clones waiting to root! :yahoo:

All clones are rooted and transplanted into mini hempys; and, there's enough to fill up the cab AND replace the four that are due to be harvested at the end of the month.

So, it will be a couple more weeks before I need to take any clones (although, the Power Skunk and newer Lucy Bonsais do need a trim!). But, when I do, the next round of clones will mark the start of using Rapid Rooters, so hopefully, those will perform as well or better for me than the rockwool.

Thanks for the +REPS and stay healthy! :thankyou:

QUICK UPDATE - GIRLS SOON TO BE HARVESTED

Happy weekend, everyone!

It's been another long week for me, and I still owe those natural light photos I promised I'd try to post last week.

I've been doing my best, on limited time to keep up with everyone's journals, but haven't had too much time to keep up with my own!

The four oldest girls in flower are due to be harvested in two weeks.

I did pull a little bit of a "bonehead" move, but nothing that caused any real problems...

My original schedule, which I have in a spreadsheet, had me reducing the nutes two weeks prior to flush (3 weeks prior to harvest). At the same time, I also discontinued the AN Big Bud and started the AN Overdrive.

But, I figured since I was using Clearex for the flush, I'd try keeping them on a higher dose of nutes a little longer, so changed the schedule to start reducing the nutes one week before the flush (or, two weeks prior to harvest).

It sounded like a great idea, so, I modified the spreadsheet to start reducing nutes a week later. But, I totally forgot that meant I SHOULD have started the Overdrive a week ago! (Doh!) Oh well...no real problems, since Overdrive isn't needed to grow great MMH, and I am starting them on Overdrive today, but I do believe (with only my observations to back it up and NO scientific evidence!) it does help those buds swell in the last couple of weeks.

OK, without boring you further, let's get to the pics!

First up is the Pineapple Express, which is the shortest of all the plants in there right now, but she has some nice, fat, trich-covered buds I can't wait to vape! :grinjoint:

Next is the Power Skunk. The buds on the PS are never as big as the others, but they are extremely dense and tend to yield much more than it appears. Plus, like the PE, they have a real thick coating of trichs:

Finally, the two Lucy's. Consistant with the first Lucy, they are producing some nice, fat buds. Unfortunately, not the size of my first one, which was huge, but probably because the first was the main cola topping. Also, the pics didn't come out as well on these for some reason, but certainly good enough to get a good idea of what's going on.

Here's Lucy #1:

Man that PE looks frosty! Okay so's the Lucy...okay they're all pretty damn frosty! :bravo:
Since you mentioned vaping...I have to take a moment to say :thanks:.

When you were talking about vaporizers earlier in your journal you inspired me to do some research, that led to me purchasing the Arizer Extreme Q. I can't even explain how much I love it!

...Okay maybe since you already had one and with my name, you probably DO know how much I love it! :yahoo:

I medicate daily...unfortunately, because of that I've built up a very high tolerance to the White Widow I have, and my lungs were taking a real pounding because of it. What a difference! So again... :thankyou:

:Namaste:

Yup, I hardly ever "smoke" cannabis anymore. It's all about vaporizing for me now. I have the Silver Surfer from 7th Floor as my main vape, and a Magic Flight Launchbox as my secondary vape. My sinuses have thanked me ever since, and the smell/taste is so much more appealing (and stealthy!) Every great once in a while we dust off the bong, but it's pretty rare these days... I wish I could try some of the other portable ones -- I like the MFLB, but it's not perfect. My wife likes it so much she prefers it to our larger Silver Surfer. Those Extreme Q's look like nice vapes.

Oh, and great pics Mr Krip! I'm really jonesin' for some Lucy. I'm so sad to be out. Those are some yummy looking buds - fun to see them in more natural light. :yummy:

Hey, that's great, Bro & you're most welcome! I didn't realize I was partially resonsible for your name change! :)

I'm gonna have to tell Arizer to start sending me commissions, cuz' you're the second person this week that told me they bought one from my journal posts on it.

Vaping in general is, IMHO, a much better feel & taste, in addition to being much healthier. And, with the Arizer, you have the best of both worlds being it supports both the bags and whip (the potpurri burner is a bonus!). And, the remote control is perfect for us stoners! Plus, once you get stoned enough, the glow from that blue light looks really cool in the dark! :bong:

They really are. In fact, I'm so impressed with it, I've decided to buy an Arizer Solo as well... There's a really cool vapecase for it, and you can even get a car charger!

A buddy started vaping on my recommendation and bought a Vapir NO2, and loves it! I'll probably have a chance to try that out in the next few days. :)

Now you know brother! :thumb:

I wasnt gonna be the one to admit it! The blue light rocks! :headbang:

Hey Mr. Krip.

Nice looking Lucy girls. They may not be as big as expected, but they look like they are loaded. I've missed having some of her around. Going to try to fill the need soon.
Great stuff as is per your usual. :Namaste:

Mr. G, all of the vapes mentioned in the last several posts are good vapes, and there are several more. It really depends on what you're looking for.

Is it for home use, or do you want portability? Do you prefer whips or bags?

I think just for home might get a portable one later but I think ill start with a home one about how much do the ones you guys talked about earlier cost? I looking to spend 125 and thanks for the respond Krip

Ps is a whip the hose?and hows the bag work

Girls looks sooo :yummy: Nice Job!!

I'd like to know more about vapes also...what's a bag/whip? The blue light sounds cool...any details from personal observations/experience is helpful.

OK...the "whip" is the rubber hose, usually with a mouth piece. The bags are exactly that...bags! Usually something like an oven bag that you can fill up and then vape from the bags instead of the whip.

The bags are good for parties, especially for vapes that "plug-in" (which is what I'd recommend for home use) and have very limited mobility. I personally like using the whip, but would never turn down a bag if someone passed me one at a party! :)

You can get a good vape for about $125, but in general, the vapes that support the bags are more money since, in addition to the vape, they need some fan to inflate the bags.

You may be able to pick up one of the Aritzer Extremes for somewhere around the $125 price point, and they do support both bags and whips. I'd also look at the Silver Surfer and Daboodah which use the whips only, but are great vapes for the money and should cost you less.

There's a great website on vaping at F*CK COMBUSTION (.com and spelled out!). I'd check out some of the reviews there, also, since there are several others I've ruled out for you, and certainly many others I'm not even aware of!
:Namaste:

My vape is just a little silver box with a whip. Digital read out and a dial to set the temp. Bought it at a local head shop for around $100. It sits on my desk and is all I need. I've had other vapes....gave them to THsea. Too damn complicated for me! Bags and all. But it does the job, even when THsea comes over.:Namaste:

Arizer Extreme Q- I love it!

Bonus: Remote Control!! and the Blue light!

How much? I seen some home box vapes with whips for like 50$ do you guys think that it will be cheap quality ive seen a friend with one with a globe but I wouldnt work right do you think one thats cheap as this will work?:Namaste:
