SOGgy Daze Ahead For Mr. Krip!

In soil-less medium, those are prime. Your gene-line is impressive. And those could do 6-12 clones per week forever...

Maybe 900 ppm tap water at 5.5-6.6 ph range, gh line micro at 4 cc per gal, gh line grow at 4cc per gal, gh flower at 6cc per gal. which is light nutes, on a HID floro 8 bulb... at like 3 inches off the top, 70* F all day long... I might nut. lol.

With bases that sturdy, (like trees) you could potentially get a 36 head scrog for each plant.

I have a friend that does this for his mothers... They look bonsai because he has cut on them for years. What he does is a waning the light power tactic on his mothers by lifting the light 4 feet off the tops at the exact same stage you have going there...

Result is a stretch on the heads, vertically. When the stretch is just about ridiculous, he clones and is left with vertical shoots, long stemmed clones and the trimmed result coming off of his basket of dense folage off the tops doubles his heads on the plant.

Budding those mothers in a few years will be fantastic... kudos.

Thanks for the good words & advice, Frank! :thankyou:

I just started raising the lights a couple of weeks ago to help stretch (and increase the light coverage in the cab) so I can get the clones a little taller.

I was thinking the same thing about eventually flowering the Bonsai mom's. They have tons of tops on real thick branches and should produce some pretty good sized buds. But, I'm gonna keep these as moms (hopefully!) for a while.

I think it was Steveh or possibly OG that gave some great advice on mothers. He said to treat them like women and keep them around until something younger and better looking comes along! :)

Whassup Kripster?!

Hope you got your cloning thing figured out... I'm with you and OG on the humidity domes. I'm in a winter/dry environment and need to be ever creative with keeping the right humidity as it gets bone dry in the winter here. I'm going to start keeping a few moms, and plan to go the Mr. Krip bonsai route as well. My plan right now is to clone with rapid rooters (I LOVE those things) for simpicity, but I might have a change of heart if I have issues...

Mostly wanted to pop in, say hi, and tell you to keep rockin' it my friend! :high-five:

I keep forgetting to ask what is a lucy? never heard of that strain.

It's another name for Barney's Farm El S Dee . Can't mention that kinda stuff here, so we changed the name.

Welcome to :420:
Peace and God bless,

Oh, a bit late perhaps, but just gave you 5 stars on the thread... :thumb:

Hey Brother! Good to see you "back in the saddle"!

I think you'll like the Bonsais - they're pretty fun, easy to maintain, and can keep your favorite strains going for quite some time! :thumb:

I'm definately getting my money's worth from the ONE seed order I've placed in my lifetime! I only ordered 10 seeds of two strains, Lucy & PE, and got 3 freebies (Power Skunk, Big Band, and Kannabia Special). To date, I've only lost the Kannabia Special, which was the first seed I tried to germinate and killed in the STG starter cubes.

But, I've harvested over 20 plants from those seeds, I still have seeds left, and three strains going as Bonsai moms. I also still have the Big Band freebie seed, so that makes four of the five strains I started with I can still get plants from. :)

Thanks for the stars and your good words for MOTY! :thanks:

GT has your answer on this, RGF. Think about the Beatles song, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. It's named after a drug we're not supposed to discuss on these forums. It's a Skunk x Mazar cross and is some premium genetics with THC levels touted at 24%.

Those bonsai moms are nice. Ever thought about flowering the bonsai? I bet it can yield 1oz each. I'm starting to veg out mine longer to get more yield. Flowering time is not compromised the tent is full all times. You still using the TK for clones?

Thanks, Twelve! Yep, I've thought about it and sooner or later, I'm sure I will flower out the mothers. I switched from the TK back to rockwool since I was having too many issues controlling temps on the TK.

I love how small you have been able to keep the mums.

Thanks, Bro! Yeah, it's amazing how small you can keep them and still get a decent quantity of productive clones. Although, with this SOG method, I should be taking much taller clones, so I'll probably let these grow out a bit more once I get a full tent.

I was sittin' here drinking my coffee and reading this..when all the sudden I started chuckling...and my wife says "what"...so I read this to her...:scratchinghead:NO SMILE?

Hmmmm :hmmmm: Any chance she didn't get the joke? :)
