Small 1st Grow Already In Progress Using LEDs To Flower & T-5s For Veg

og what are you using for nutes and what are your ppm/ec readings? You are right around the same timeline as me i think i am on around 28.
Sorry about missing your question earlier G00ch,
I am using Fox Farms but only the big bloom, grow big tiger bloom, open sesame, beastie bloom and cha ching.. could not afford the whole line up. Maybe on grow 2 or 3 when I get back to work. As for PPM I am in the 1740 range on most feedings a little lower then what FF says but without all of their products in the mix I think I am in the ball park.

Looking good OG. I'm not sure if I have already subbed but here I am now. What camera do you use? Your pics look fantastic!
Well until the other day I was just using my crappy old iphone 5c but decided that it was time to grab a nicer camera. I had to steal the wife lens though since mine would take great photos , just hard to get a few hundred feet away to take them. "she who must be obeyed has a D50 Nikon and I use a D70 Nikon. I don't have much experience with them but I am learning, much like growing it is a learning experience.

Ok day 27 in flower is upon me and not much worrying me at the moment other then my RH% in the flower tent. It did hit a high of 57% over night which I do not like, so I am thinking it is time to up my air exchanges during the night to see if that lowers it down some.
If you have been following or read any of my updates you will have noticed a change up in photo quality, I put away the ole Iphone and dug out my regular camera. Own one might as well use it right? Besides I am not very good with it and I figure I can learn a few tricks along the way. Today I got carried away with the pictures, which I promise will stop soon enough, but I was playing around with using different focal points and different colors the tent has to offer from the lights and well I just got carried away. These are some of the ones I found interesting and wanted to share. As Sue pointed out, "real life" will be cutting into my free time soon I hope, (only because then I can afford more lights) and when I do go back to work my updates will keep coming but chances are they will only be every few days or so. I enjoy doing them but with only 7 years till retirement I need to work every chance I can.
So with no further ado, I hope you enjoy my day 27 update in no specific order. Pictures I found interesting around the tents.

For you have not noticed, I am strongly attracted to lady bugs, go figure.
Hope you enjoyed the different colors and perspectives, I know I enjoyed taking them
Have a great Saturday :circle-of-love:

SCRoG-alicious there oldman! :cheesygrinsmiley:
You are rocking this growing thing!
Good luck on the job hunt. Too bad life has a way of getting in the way of growing and journaling, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Looking great, oldbro! I wish could actually grow our weed those vivid blues and reds! Those pictures are startling at first, then it's Oh Wow!

Hey who you calling OLD old man:circle-of-love: Oh thats right, old and bad eyes, neber mind. Well the good part about the job hunt is once I start work I can start medicating again at least for a while anyway.. 4 or 5 months if the job holds out that long.

I lived in Oregon all my life(I'm 44) until 3 years ago, tooooo cold and toooo much rain, I had to leave. Beautiful state though, i do miss it, sometimes, Lol. Great looking grow, you know what you're doing, for sure. Subbed! :thumb:
:welcome: to my garden and thanks for joining in on the fun. Too cold? After living in Montana and Colorado this is heaven in my book. Plus you do not have to shovel rain :thumb:

Its a new strain I am working on Llama :laughtwo: I am a big fan of colors and have always enjoyed looking at things from a different perspective. The different light spectrums from the LED's really make a plain mary jane into a super model walking the runway. I had a lot of fun with them.

Your rock n it buddy, gees I love that scrog! Keep it up and I can't wait to see where this goes!:volcano-smiley:
Thank you for your super compliment, but trust me, I have plenty of time to screw this up:)But if I can just be patient and keep doing what I have done so far I may be in for a busy harvest :high-five:

Good morning everyone,
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Peeked in today in the garden and thankfully everything is going along just fine, did a little look through searching for any signs of those lil SOB mites but no sign which is always a good sign. Did not sleep well, have had a few things bugging me in the back of my mind and still trying to figure out which way I want to deal with them so today I decided to keep it short and hopefully things will get better.
So with no further ado, Day 28 end of week 4 in my little grow, 1st attempt at a Scrog.
Veg tent is doing fine, the Betty is really starting to make me wonder how I want to bloom her.

Hard to tell but each of those buds are a different bud, as you can see I like to place the top in pretty much the same area of the picture, something I recall back from my college days and art appreciation class. More outdated techniques ;)

Hope you all have a great day :circle-of-love:
your gardens are safe and green:cheertwo:
OG

Great shots bro. I'm all for an aspiring photographer. I took art appreciation and digital photography and I absolutely fell in love with it. I have a Canon T5 and I play around with it a lot when taking pictures of the plants. My favorite technique is DOF (depth of field). Plants look fabulous. Keep it up OG.

great update OG the ladies look amazing and the pics came out fantastic, make sure you enter the contests for plant of the month and after its been cured bud of the month great prizes

The start of week 4 into flower, day 29 close to the 1/2 way mark. The time to make a great grow or to get so close but fail none the less. So many things that can go wrong from here on out. That being said, "Their back!" Those lil SOB SM's. I did a complete search of my leaves and apparently I missed a few or I missed the timing on the incubation period. They were very very tiny compared to the ones I found last time but just as unwelcome as their parents. I will be busy today waging war on them and I am determined to come out of this the victor.
It was a bit chilly today and it did not help that my son left the door open while he went out to feed the chickens. Veg tent had dropped down to 69 degrees.
The flower tent RH% issue is starting to get better, holding at around 47% with a low of 37% and a high of 52%. Would still like it a little lower till she is finished up.
Photos today were a bit bland though I did try a black and white to see how it would come out. Actually came out pretty nice IMHO.

Short of rip them out and start all over (which by the way, I actually have considered) any suggestions on battling my war on spider mites would be greatly appreciated.

Not a whole lot of changes other then the SM dilemma which is ongoing apparently.
Hope everyone is starting their week off on a good note:Love:
Thanks to all who have been so kind with their compliments, though I did find a sticky wet spot over in the corner, which was a bit shocking to say the least.

Hey I just happened to watch a vid by ma man Jorge Cervantes and he had some good iders for them little bastards!
Grow Cannabis â€" Spider Mites â€" by Jorge Cervantes - YouTube
It's a short clip but I think I ll help.:thumb:
Sorry no this isn't the clip I was thinking of and I can't find it, dang, but he was talking about using some sticky string running across the top of the plant and at night the mites move off the plant and will head for that string ( don't quote me on this process.... I m gonna keep hunting for the real clip)
Here s a decent looking organic product that ll suffocate them after a few hrs.... I ve also heard of using a vaccum with say some panty hose over the end as not to suck up your buds, and just suck em up.
