Slimm's Urban Hang Suite

Nice plans Slimm. I appreciate your measured pace to the complexity of your grows. You are learning many skills my friend.

hey, 5oz+ is not bad at all for a personal grow, good job!

and as Munki said, what you learned is invaluable to your future grows.

congrats my friend!

p.s. I smoked some casey jones a friend grew and it was sublime :rasta:

Thanks guys. I think the 5 should hold me over till the Casey is done :blunt:
This crop is curing so nicely and the smoke is so smooth I have unplugged the volcano in favor of a pipe and papers. I'm really seeing the quality improvements that come from precise curing.

I decided to give my plants away so I could travel without worrying about the grow room. I'll get things running in a few weeks.

I'm not very confident in my trimming ability. I have done so little and don't really have a process that I like. I could use a few tips. I trimmed them up a little more before putting them in the jars because it was easier to see what I liked and did not like once they were part way dry. I tried to remove the tips of the bud leaves and the whole leaf if they were very large. Here are a few pics after the pre-chop trim job.

Just read through your grow - very nice! Final product looks fantastic. :goodjob:

I had to laugh when you posted the pic of the Old Rasputin as I was just at the North Coast Brewery two days ago! I'm a bigger fan of the Red Seal and the Scrimshaw, but the OR is probably my third favorite of theirs. They had a deal going where you got a free Scrimshaw glass with the purchase of a Scrimshaw, so I had to get one of those with my meal, but the OR is definitely fantastic right outta the tap!!

If you ever get a chance, go to the brewery in Fort Bragg. The food is fantastic... best clam chowder and fresh Halibut I have ever had. :thumb:

As for the trimming, seems you have already taken care of that. Its all personal. When I work for commercial growers, they are extremely picky in how they want it done, and everyone is different. I personally take the "if its crystally, keep it" route. I get rid of all the big fan leaves and water leaves and little stems. I prefer to cut larger nugs down into smaller nugs for curing/storing purposes. However, if there are small leaves with lots of crystals, I leave them. Looking at your pictures, I think you trimmed up your smoke perfectly. Don't want any THC to go to waste! :)

Reps for liking good beer :rasta: Pranqster is my favorite, and we can't get it here. And, yer right about the chowdah and halibut... great stuff.

Guess I'll just have to put a Pranqster coaster under a Fat Tire... and dream :)

The Pranqster is a good one too! Almost forgot about that one. Its actually pretty hard to find here despite being in California as well. I'm sorry you can't get it out your way. There aren't any stores like we have here (Bevmo) that carry specialty beers in your neck of the woods?

Pranqster is as good, if not better, than any real Belgian ale I've had. If I can find, it's occasionally, and 12 bucks a 6 pack. Old Rasputin is 12 bucks a 4 pac.

Red Seal and Scrimshaw are reasonable, like $9 a 6.

Acme Ale is another one theirs I really like. They've quit carrying that here, too. I have one of the swinging babe signs in our kitchen... she is quite lithe :)

Slimm better come back and save his thread, ha, ha, ha!

:peace:

I'm back but not for long. I'm moving both my grow space and my residence and have my grow room reduced to a pile of boxes. Looks like my Casey Jones is going to have to wait a bit longer.

This grow is complete.

Thanks for sharing your grow with us!

I'm moving this to completed journals now.
