Slammy Pajammy's Indoor Organic Supersoil Ladies, 2019! 2nd Ever!

Today's veg update:

All of our re-vegged clone friends are looking beautiful! I fim-ed all the bigger ones by pinching just the very tip of the most dominant growth, and they are starting to branch out nicely!

And our littlest friends are just starting to get used to being a plant. Might just flower some of these early if the gsc seeds come in soon!

RH: 50-69%

Looking pretty good in the tent! I don't think I'll water her any more, I'm just letting her drink down what's left in the pot and then we'll probably pull her down! I want to catch it before too many more go amber and keep it kind of light and zippy

Today's veg update:

Veg ladies are looking good! Gave them all a little bit of a pre-soak yesterday and then a full watering today to keep them nice and happy. I like the branching out from the fim-ing that most of these are doing!

IMG_20210319_161540.jpg
IMG_20210319_161545.jpg

I did see some scale insects on one or two of them though! Also looks like some aphids are getting set up on one of them. Pretty much was expecting this with how much they have been traveling between inside and outside

IMG_20210319_161438.jpg

So we pulled out the old potassium salts and gave them all a good soak down! I'll come back and look at doing that again in the next 4-7 days, and then maybe again a week later just to be sure I break the cycle. Good time to squash this out so we can head into the indoor winter season reasonably problem-free

Today's flower update:
Temp: 17-26 degrees
RH: 48-62%

The indoor lady looks so good! Been holding off pulling her down, but today was looking too good! I pulled her out of the tent and started stripping back all the fan leaves in preparation for a wash. Then we'll break her all down and get her drying! Smells pretty peachy!

The outdoor ladies are thickening up day by day! Since it's been pretty wet outside lately, there isn't much I've had to do but wait! As long as that soil stays wet, they are happy! Yippee for the supersoil! ;D

Today's veg update:
Temp: 18-26 degrees
RH: 50-80%

Little ladies are looking good! Lowered the light down a little, because they definitely look like they are stretching a little bit :'(. But that's ok! We'll reel them back in

Also looking a little thirsty, so I gave everybody a wetting down. I'll probably give them a real good soak tomorrow, and add a little egg shell ferment/Epsom salts. Few little rusty spots popping up on some of them that I suspect are a little Cal/Mag deficiency setting in.
IMG_20210324_200606_hdr.jpg
IMG_20210324_200616_hdr.jpg

They're probably all ready for an up-pot, so that will exacerbate the problem haha. But no time for that probably till the weekend! We'll get there!

Today's flower update:
Temp: 17-27
RH: 42-69%

It's been very rainy lately, and the outside ladies are packing on the weight!

However, unfortunately they've been a little too wet... . I've had to cut a good few chunks of browning dying matter that looks like some rot setting in. Hopefully this isn't it for these two!!

IMG_20210327_182026.jpg

Everybody is still a little thirsty and hungry for CalMag, so I'll have to get in and take care of that tomorrow! But we're looking pretty good for now

Did a good amount of tying down and training today to help keep them branching out. Might have to flower some of these early when those new girl scout seeds show up!

Wednesday 31/03 update:
Temp: 16-27 degrees
RH: 37-60%

Whoops, took some pictures and forgot to actually post them last week.

Things were looking pretty sad! I'd let the soil get a little too dry too consistently, and they started to starve out a little bit (as well as needing some CalMag). So I watered them with some egg shell ferment, Epsom salts, and then some green supreme for a microbe boost to get that soil active again

Today's update:
Temp: 18-29 degrees
RH: 44-60%

Everybody was ready for another good soaking, so we took them outside and got the biggest round of ladies up into bigger pots and ready for proper training

I cleaned up a lot of the cruddy confused lower growth from when they were trying to figure out whether to flower or veg, so they can focus all their effort now on the fresh better looking growth up top. Nice tight nodes coming out now!!

IMG_20210405_165957.jpg
IMG_20210405_165959.jpg

And these two are getting ready to flower under the viparspectra soon! Just gotta make sure they've gotten the nutrients they're hungry for, and we'll keep training them to be a nice even canopy!

IMG_20210405_170112.jpg
IMG_20210405_170118.jpg

I won't put a date on when I'll flip the lights to flower, but I'll let them get a little size to them before I pull the trigger. I'd like to get some of the current plants big and flowered out to make plenty of room for the Girl Scout Cookies that are on the way from @Weed Seeds Express !! I am SUPER stoked to be a part of their comparative grow, so we'll get that underway as soon as the seeds arrive!

Today's update 1/2:
Temp: 20-29 degrees
RH: 40-62%

Everybody is responding nicely to the CalMag and the green supreme! I've also been keeping the soil wetter throughout the course of the week.

Today, gave everybody another spray with horticultural soaps, because I've seen a little bit of mite evidence and a few scale insects getting set up on some of the lower cruddy growth!!

I also did another aggressive trim-back, to help take off some of the bushy calyces and twisted mutated growth that happened when they flowered and then re-vegged. I want to promote good proper veg growth from here on up, cuz they're definitely starting to spit out correct looking growth now!

I also trimmed a lot of the shoots off to open up the lower canopies for airflow, and so that the plants can focus more on the shoots that are left.

IMG_20210410_171906.jpg
IMG_20210410_171911.jpg

Then I gave everybody a good soak with the purple powder and re-tied them to try and even out the canopies. Looking good from here!

This lady is the big long straight shoot that needed to be cleaned up hard. She is currently in isolation because she is battling the mites the hardest, so hopefully I can get them fully under control real quick to get her back into the tent with the others. I don't like screwing around with her not being under a proper light. And we're supposed to get frost by Monday!! :'( but I'm not risking spreading all these mites to the rest of them, cuz they look fine haha. Fingers crossed!!

This is like my second proper clone run, and I think they are even more node-y than both seed-grown plants would be at this size and the non-re-veg clones from my last run. Cool! But it's cost me a LOTTT of time to get them back to this point, so I don't think it'd be worth it to try and do this intentionally or anything. But good to know that you can get them back even when they've gone to that point!

Today's update:
Temp: 20-24 degrees
RH: 45-60%

I turned the fans off so that they wouldn't be blowing directly on the plants anymore. Even oscillating looked like it was a little bit too much wind stress right now, so I'll give them a break until they're a little more recovered and established after the big trim-down they just endured

I'll wait until maybe tomorrow or the next day and will check to see if they need a water. I want to keep a close eye on the little ones and help them get up into bigger pots as soon as they're ready, so I won't let them dry out too bad.
IMG_20210411_183249.jpg
IMG_20210411_183256.jpg

Other than that, growth is looking good all-round! Can't wait to see how they respond over the next week to all this pruning!

Today's update:
Temp: 17-25 degrees
RH: 50-58%

Plants are responding fabulously to the trim and water!! I've been doing this wrong the whole time!! Haha I'm seeing a noticeable explosion of growth since yesterday, basically across the board.

Still a few hungry spots in the pre-flower tent, so I gotta get that sorted so we can really shoot off. But the good news is that the really ugly mite-dominated lady has recovered nicely as well and has been allowed back in a tent!
IMG_20210412_230600.jpg

We'll give everything another few doses of potassium salts over the next couple weeks to be sure we keep it under control, but that's a bonus! I was one inch from cutting her down and tossing her away because of how gnarly she was looking there for a minute!

Today's update:
Temp: 17-26 degrees
RH: 50-58%

Looking a little better every day! I'm actually really surprised at how quickly they are shooting up after such an aggressive stripping. Should be ready to flip the ones under the viparspectra soon!!

Today's update:

Gave the ladies all a good watering today, and a tiny extra bit of CalMag into the right-hand tent. Looking a little potassium hungry as well I think, so I might try a top-dress with something and a compost tea very soon. We'll see what the future brings!

I also am hoping to keep on top of any potential mite issues, so we gave them a good spray-down with some potassium soaps of fatty acids. I'm not taking any chances!!

Today's update:
Temp: 19-28 degrees
RH: 44-67%

We are looking fantastic! Been staying on top of keeping the plants nice and wet, and they have been responding nicely! I'll leave them for a little while before giving them another re-training to make sure we're encouraging nice quick growth!

Today's update:

Looking pretty good! Everybody is growing very nicely, and looking way more recovered from the accidental flowering!

I gave everybody another spray down with potassium soaps, and we'll get those three smaller pots up into nice big pots as soon as we can!

Today's update:
Temp: 20-27 degrees
RH: 54-71%

Everybody is looking pretty good today! Still recovering nicely and speeding right along through veg. We're still chasing a little bit of weirdness in one of the ladies in the pre-flower tent, so hopefully I can get that fixed up soon and she'll catch up again to the other two. Almost looks a little like a pH problem... weird!

Gave everybody another good watering today, and re-trained all the plants for a more even canopy. Still just watching and waiting!

Just another day watching and waiting! Ladies are reaching nicely upwards. Definitely need to get the little three ladies up-potted before they start to starve and give me delays in the next pot

But new growth is looking good! Can't wait to start the flip!!

Yesterday's update:
Temp: 16-24 degrees
RH: 46-70%

Finally got around to up-potting the three little ladies! Glad to get it done before they got too hungry!

I also noticed a TON of damage on just a few ladies in one tent all of a sudden... Almost looks like a caterpillar or a few got in here and had a good go!!

So I sprayed all the plants with some BT just to make sure we don't lose too much new growth! One plant had almost every single little tip of new growth munched and mangled!! :'(

I also top-dressed the three in the pre-flower tent with a mix of rock dusts, kelp meal, alfalfa meal, and a few others. They're definitely hungry for something, and I'd like to get them happy heading into flower!
