Skylining: My Guide To Cannabis Training Featuring Blue Gelato 41 & Pink Kush

Should still work decent for veg though.

Yeah thats exactly why I installed them immediately after building :laugh: By the way spectrum of these diodes look like following;

There is not a huge difference to be honest. 3000K peaks around 620nm whereas 4000K peaks around 610nm but still, it covers the whole area. I think 3000K is slightly more optimal for flowering but we will see. I have high expectations because I've never seen anyone flowering with 4000K to prove otherwise because the marketing always promoted blurple or red diodes for flowering. I say it's all about the method because my friend had a similar 4000K boards only on his last grow and he absolutely nailed it. That made me think :idea:

I think when we talk "full spectrum" red vs blue isn't as critical

Yeah totally. Using these fine mid power LED's for a while made me realise that lights are not my biggest problem :) I need to renew my seed stash very soon because I've cancelled a trip to Amsterdam due to pandemic. I wish I could get my hands on something exotic like @Marzbadrock 's Montana Blackout. Until I stumble upon something interesting I will definately stack more Purple Punch and some Wedding Cake from Barney's and make mother plants.

I got some more update guys. I've been waiting for antifungal and antiseptic solution for a while and it's finally arrived. I diluted this solution with boiled and cooled drinking water and filled a spray bottle with that. I will remove plants and spray that regularly inside tents and the grow room to prevent PM. I know thats how some big grow operations(e.g. House of Dankness) fight with PM. I've also been using these type of solutions to sanitize the area before preparing mushroom cakes. Great to have a big bottle of that.

I've fed big plants today with Flora Coco Grow/Bloom and T.A. Fulvic. pH is around 6.0 and PPM is around 550-600. I might increase the PPM after topping but for now, plants show no deficiency and leaf damage. I think I got rid of thrips because I haven't been spraying these two for at least ten days. Fungus gnats are next to deal with.

Another update is on the sticky yellow traps. I increased the number of these and put some extra outside the tent. I am hoping to catch all of the mature fungus gnats with these and let spinosad take care of the larvae on the coco. As you can see I topped all of the coco with perlite and made some observation. Fungus Gnats get confused when they land on perlite instead of coco. That's a known method annoy them. I sprayed the perlite with the spinosad as well. I want quick extermination :)

I am very upset to have these fungus gnats because the only reason I have them is the hydrostore's failure on keeping them sterile. If this thing keeps happening, I might have to switch to rockwool cubes or DWC because I don't have much time to deal with pests and its exhausting :)

Another update that some of you guys may find minor is the air pump. I don't know if I've repeated that on this journal but I am letting my water rest for at least a week before introducing it into the medium with nutes and other stuff. I decided to take it up a notch and got an air pump to get more oxygen inside the water as it rests. I might consider mixing nutes a couple of hours earlier and aerate them as well. I think that will help the roots a lot. I was using several different airpumps when I used to grow in DWC and the plants with stronger pumps had way better roots. They just love oxygen.

Here is how I pump :)

And here is how clones and plants are;

Cheers :passitleft:

I love my coco, looking for a way to feed organic nutes in coco. Doesn’t look promising.

I've grown two organic plants in coco last year. It is a bit expensive but result was great. I decided to swap to Flora coco series after that grow because of the cost. You need to introduce beneficial bacteria too frequently. I am very happy with my current nute lineup. I'll cut down fulvic and only add silica and big bud on flowering.

I've tested the new LED board with quantum meter to get PPFD results and I will be sharing the chart for 18 and 25 inch distances soon.

We lost one PK and one BG41 clones. I've checked their bottom and saw that these were started popping roots but I couldn't kept them alive. Other clone are doing fine and if they started rooting as well, they would all be safe in a few days.

I saw some larvae when I checked for roots. I am planning to wash the coco with spinosad as well. I am not seeing any mature fungus gnats flying around for a while. Spinosad and sticky traps are working but I still have to deal with the remaining larvae before they start eating out fresh roots of these clones.

Here is how they look;

Thanks, the stuff I use now is in a part system so I don't think It would be good to keep in a big container for a week or more. hense the 2 or 3 part mix system. Looking to improve my watering procedures, mostly no spill and less mixing. Cheers
