Skybound's Journal

I wouldn't think so. Sky has been using it in decent amounts I think in his hydro adventures. He's had a great IPM all along  He's said it brings out the flavors too. That's a win win :high-five:
Sounds like a great thing to use If I have problems I will try to remember Lol with my CRS Cant remember shit Lol :surf:

I'm guessing you are younger than me. Wait till your older. You really don't remember shit  Dankwoman says something to me and the next day I already forgotten about it
I'm 55 so I am getting there I have had CRS for a while now Lol

Sorry Dank, I got about a min and a half into the vid before my mind blasted off into left field. Something about robots narrating that just turns my mind right off.

As to sulfur, yes, I've used it in high concentrations in the feed. Is that what the video was saying, to feed the sulfur to the plant? I think from way back, when you guys were young, sulfur was the go do insecticide. In fact, I believe it was in Marlon Brando's can when he died at the end of The Godfather. I know I sould've fought my way through the video, but I'll be immersed in needing to learn some new shit to fix and advance my 3D printer, so my bandwidth is in geek mode right now.

Your a couple years older than me. I'll be 53 in couple weeks. My vision is shot, almost ready for hearing aids and blue pills  Haha, that's all true except the the blue pills :laughtwo:
I feel yah I gota take 2 cc Testosterone Cypionate every 10 days to keep me going Lol. + B12 injections and a prescription vitamin D3 I also take a multi vitamin too

I’ll keep my eyes open, and I figure I’ll start seeing uses. For making actual jewellery I. need super fine tolerances and so for now it’s probably easier to just get my hands dirty and make stuff the old fashioned way.
But there have definitely been times in life I’ve busted molded plastic components and had to groan.... they’re totally unfixable. You usually can’t glue the stuff and and usually there’s no way to replicate them by hand in any practical way.
I just got excited when (I think) you said it’s the most useful thing you have bought. I have a few of those ‘most useful’ tools. Most recently a full set of squeezy clamps. I can’t believe I went so many years without the squeezy clamps- now it’s like I have eight arms.

My printer, despite being a Chinese hunk of shit that makes me a bad American etc, is unequivocally THEE greatest tool I've ever purchased in my life. It can literally produce other tools of varying hardness, rigidity, size and tolerance. The most basic printer with the most basic electronics produce the most basic tolerance, but you definitely can get more precision and accuracy with further investment. I just got a new motherboard for $22 that computes info about 16x faster than the stock board. Also, new stepper drivers offer far greater performance and capability while driving the steppers are lot quieter than they did with the standard board's stock drivers. AFAIK, the Creality Ender 3 may come with these new electronics which would mean the quality print the new Enders can do would likely be 10x better than my 2 year old Tevo Tarantula can do.

The video was suggesting to dust the plants or turn it into a spray. But I'm sure if the plants are ingesting good amounts it would be same thing
I would think the same thing but not certain maybe Sky will jump in and set us straight he should know.

You might be onto something because I kid you not, I have never had bugs, surely not to the extent of an infestation and though I try my best to keep the joint clean, I assure you that my best is not really all that great. According to many peope I've asked in my years, I should have had bugs, despite being in potted rockwool/hydro.

but perhaps it was the enhanced sulfur regimen I've been pumping that's been having a deterrent effect in the plant sweat or something?

I know a little about motherboards not for printers but computers if it has an soc imbedded then it can really make a difference the processor can be Much more powerful then what most things come with stock I bet you will Love the new upgrades. A 3D printer has been on my wish list for a while now. I have never researched it but you are raising my interest even more now I Love your compost brewing fixture or air bubbler an your cup holders are Bad ass

Funny fact is that my first batch soil plant is showing sulfur deficiency, lol. I gave her some gypsum last week, then CalNite, then my veg hydro feed, lol. My goal for her is merely to survive the first run.

Knowing you were a welding instructor, I presume you're fairly knowledgeable in most, if not all trades as I am. If that is the case, I assure you a printer will become your best friend, such that you may even decide to put the missus out to pasture. That was a joke, but I wanted to add emphasis. I'll even put you old fellers down with another old guy on YouTube that's been tinkering with CNC machines for a few years, and he also built the same CNC machine I did, plus the next level CNC machine, all of which was first produced on a printer.

I have that post bookmarked Thank You. I have been out of the trade for a few years now Like 20 years so I have lost most of my skills and what little CAD I did have, but this looks doable in the future. Now Sky I may need some help when I do get one. That will be in the future I got a lot of stuff to get for growing first but a printer is on my list.

Just remember that when you pull the plug, every popular (cheap) Chinese model has a collection of users on Facebook. So if for instance, you buy a Creality Ender 3, there will be an Ender 3 group on Facebook. There may even be several groups for that model. Just join the one that has the most users. When getting started, the key is to locate the information that most applies to your machine, so obviously others that bought that same model, built their machine as little as weeks before you and can answer your question(s). Of course I will advise if I'm still alive, free and have fingers and internet, but if any of those 4 factor change for me, don't get discouraged as Facebook is where the best collection of wisdom will be. In fact, I'd estimate about half of the accounts in those groups were created literally just to join the group and ask questions which is also totally fine.

I will do that Thanks again :thumb:

My new veg closet is near complete. Just some tape on the seams, velcro around the openings and 2 big slices of Panda film for doors. The footprint is 2 feet by 5.5 feet and about 6 and a half feet head room. There will be 2 of those little HLG65 4,000k QBs for late veg, and that wire shelf will be used for rearing clones. I wish I would've finished it today, but all the crouching and bending put a nice dent in my ass today and I need to rest. As soon as I open that room, I will take my best 2 or 3 from the solo cups and toss'em in some soil. By the time they're ready to pot up again, I anticipate I'll have that new bloom room built and ready to go, maybe even sooner.

That looks like the business!
Nice work, Sky!
:bravo:

Thanks DD, my knees surely agree with you because either I'm getting older or the earth is spinning a little quicker making me heavier as the result.
