Yeah, wow. Your build is a bit better than mine. I’ll look into cheaper buckets because I’m thinking of building more for other plants.
Its one of my problems im a compulsive thinker , tinkerer/ inventer .
Aswell if you use 32mm grey conduit for your fill tube the top of a coke bottle fits snugly into it making for a good funnel.

Need to check back but about a month in and although zero maintenance she hasn’t really kicked on like I’d hoped. Gonna stick the camera down her in a bit, moved her to the main balcony. SW-NNW. Its where the weather is still mostly coming from but its late monsoon time and think she’s tough enough she’ll last through any late storm now. The winds will reverse for the next 6 months. Keeping her in veg with the house lights.

Hi all.

I’m hoping I can join the #SIP club with my next grow. I cut a clone of Cereal Milk a couple of days ago that I’m hoping will survive so I can put it in my brand spanking new SIP container that I built from the YouTube clip that @Azimuth posted at the beginning of this thread here.

It took me about an hour to put it all together, but I was definitely taking my sweet time.

I can’t wait to get it started and will no doubt be posting questions here as they arise. I love the results that people get with SIPs and hopefully I can get something similar. I’ll keep a journal of it when I get started to record how it goes.

Yup, it can take as long as one whole coolie to build one of these machines. I'm not too proud to reflect the light of a fellow member of The Commonwealth, later pretending it's at least partially my own. Hahah. Great to have you! Looking trim as usual, lads.🕴️

I make mine out of a single bucket using an upside down food grade storage container or pasta sieve to make the reservoir. You do end up with a slightly smaller soil portion as the reservoir takes up some space but it doesn't seem to be much of an issue.

Hey Sippers I have an update on a partial harvest.

SFV OG in a SIP bucket. Grown on my patio along with 5 others (only one other SIP). This plant is the biggest of all. Biggest one I've ever grown. She started flower July 26th = 81 days!!!

This plant has been through a lot. She stopped drinking from the res first week of flower. I had to dance around like crazy to get her drinking from the res again. Finally got her back on track then the weather got weird. Hurricane, earthquake, rainy gloomy July, cold and humid September, and now we are back to hot as hell. Weird weather for sure. She got blown over several times from the wind. Not enough weight in the bucket and she was VERY top heavy. Today is hot - 93˚F - so I only chopped a few colas. I'll chop more in a few days when it's cooler.

Here is one cola before trim:

And after:

Buds look way better than I thought they would. Thick and chunky.
Hanging to drip dry after 3 bucket wash. Half will go into fridge bags and rest will go into The Box™ to dry.
Looks to be at least 4 oz from just these 13 huge colas. Did not make a dent on the plant. There's probably another 20 colas at least.

She smells wonderful.

She's a monster, well done

Congrats, @GratefulBud !
Biggest ever? And with those challenges right in the middle? Well done. :welldone:
Thanks Azi!
Yes this plant was a monster. The other SIP - the Gorilla OG - would have been larger but she stalled out as well and I could not get her to drink from the res again. I'd prefer to have plants that yield around 5 or 6 oz. Easier for me to manage and keep an eye on. If this plant yields less than a pound I would be surprised. If I do another SIP I need to be better prepared for huge plants.

Definitely an option. By late veg the two in SIPs were much larger than their sisters in 7 gallon fabric pots.

I think you need to put like 30 in next year to shade the concrete to stop the thermal mass affecting your grow 🤣😉
Thats a good excuse 🤔

Sigh* i knew something wonky was goin on controller says 12/12 but i never saw lights out no matter when i checked the tent this should be the beginning of week 3 in flower :nervous-guy: The lights are on different schedules its a feminized seed will it hermie? Can i just change the time schedules now?

What are you aiming for now?

18/6 or 12/12?

How many days you reckon its been going for?

If you can’t seed flower sites just flip it to 12/12 now and do it manual every day if you have to.

*probably no harm this early looking at the picture

But then I hermied one on my last grow and then we had a full on orgy of fucking - all I’ll ever know is the mother but I’m big on seeds out of 9 strains and 15 plants right now 🤣

I look on it positively - so Sir - this mega yield plant that goes 2500g a plant and stopped war in Ukraine and rhe Middle East, what are the genetics?

- Sur troofully them ladies all got it on by dem selves and respectively, Sir, I ain’t got a scoobie and they ain’t talking no more 🤣

Highya TequilaSIPr,

So, more than likely, the lights have been on 24/0 for the last two weeks? If so, just get the lights to do 12/12 and count it as day 1 flower. At least, that's what I'd do. Happy Smokin'

Seems like me and @Bode on the same page

But - yeah if you have two timers maybe the times out of sync on them by 10-25 minutes (this has actually happened to us)

You’ve probably had a win! Crazy ass it might seem but sunrise - sunset settings are prized features for light controls - you got the same for the cost of a LR44 failed battery on one of your timers 😂

Man you run good if that’s the case!

The essentially 50%-100% ON to 100% - 50% - 0% is very nice.

Otherwise flip em 12/12 ASAP and check every 12 hours.
