What the heck is this duck beak looking sprout??? Is that normal???
It's not ideal, if you look real close it's probably got some of the sticky seed lining film holding the leaf down, if it is i would mist it with water, leave it to soak for a few mins then try to gently slide that fiilm off.

She also looks like she's starting to stretch towards the light, if you move the light down or the pot closer it should help.

Tell us what you are growing in temps etc ...

I am not a soil grower but the soil looks a bit wet, container a bit big and some leaf issues showing up there... perhaps you can get some help from someone that knows soil...

Things can go down hill quickly

Hey ReciCup, Wow your seedling looks good! Congrats on that!

Starting out is a tricky thing until you get the hang of it. Agree with Birdie the soil does look a bit too wet and I only say that because of a condition called damping off. If watered with too much volume of water and watered too frequently it can cause the seedling stem to shrivel or shrink up. You don’t need to water the entire container but just in a small circle around the seedling. But you also want the soil to dry out so the plant builds fine root hairs to search for water.

Anyway I’m not an expert - just a learning gardener myself. Wanted to stop in to say hello - cheers!

This makes perfect sense! Thanks for explaining that to me. I will wait until it completely dries out before I water it again! I’m gonna post today’s pic. She’s getting BIG big! If I have indeed been watering her too much...if I change up NOW, you think she can recover? I pray so because she’s growing beautifully!

Hi RC. Your dog is insanely cute!
It is best to let your soil dry before repeat feeding/waterings. You’ll get a feel for it. Seedlings give me the willies so I’m going to keep schtum until it’s got a few sets on. So far, so good.
I have some silverback seeds. Very interested to see how you go with this one. Any particular reason you chose this chemovar?

Hey DD! Yep! A friend of mine gave me the seed and asked me to grow him some. I’m a sativa girl:ganjamon: thanks for following the journal! We will BOTH see what happens. I’ll clueless about this strain - well, I was til I read up on it (I research EVERYTHING!) lol. Let’s keep our fingers crossed:goodluck:

Btw! Thanks for the compliment re my fur baby! Her name is Rayne & she’s 1.5 yo. I also have a male yorkie (Harley) and he’ll be 9 months on the 28th - although he’s MUUUCH bigger than Rayne!
