Welcome back to Shiggy's garden. We are experiencing the hottest temps on record for 4 years and my temps are pinned at 82F. So I am pretty stoked, I haven't flowered that much in summer because of the heat but things are just perfect! I am going to have to get some Gavitas for wintertime to act as heaters :rofl: (not really a joke, I am totally going to do it and just adjust the wattage down to 750 or so. Or (hee hee) hang them 8 feet to the side of he grow at a downward angle lol.

I may have mentioned I had reversed my Twister and gotten very little pollen. I used a soft cosmetics brush to hit my little seed plants in 1 gallon pots. Gave them a couple days and the pistils stayed pretty much white so I figured that it didn't work. Still I put them back into the grow and hoped for the best! So yesterday I noticed some pistils went dark. On the 4Csins. The Big ones. And on Bluniverse. And on Pineapple Fields. Oh my. Looks like I pollinated the grow. :rofl: Still I don't think it will be all that bad. Only the plants right in the fan path got it heavy. You can look through the bud photos and see that I will have a nice collection of seeds if the pollen is truly functional. I would rather have the pollen work and seed the crop than for the pollen to fail. This summer grow is kind of a bonus grow and I would love to get a nice collection of seeds! So I call it a happy accident!

Up for the next grow I have so far 2-3 new Pineapple fields, Several BOG Sour bubble, several KOS Dark Dragon, 1 Inhouse GG#4 x dosido, 1 Inhouse Hulkamaniac (purple hulk x animal cookies), and one In house Cactus x dosido. I will be planting some new Dynasty strains soon to keep up the ACS (Acute strain envy according to Stage haha)


Dynasty Bluniverse 3
So it seems that all you have to do for success is to buy some Dynastygenetics seeds. So far I have grown out Pineapple Fields (and more on way), Huckleberry Kush, and now Bluniverse. In reserve I have Megafauna, Ms. Universe, and Birds of Paradise.
The two Bluniverse phenos look slightly different. #3 has spear shaped buds with thick pistils and is going to be a big producer.

Dynasty Bluniverse 4
Blu#4 has thicker pistils than #3 and club shaped nug heads.

Twister
You can see why I love the Twister. Just look at those trichs and full buds already. Her hash and cat piss smell is coming on strong. She gets side lighting from the PS1000 and top lighting from the 600WHPS

Shangrila
This gangly plant is putting out lots of popcorn and has a serious trichome level. I anticipate med to small trichome filled nugs like the AO.

Pineapple Fields Linda
She is looking fantastic. lots of colas this time and a bigger plant. She is frosting up nicely under the Perfect Sun 1000. I smell the canned pineapple coming on!

4Csins
These girls are showing a lot of variety, some with thin pistils and some with fatter pistils and wider colas. But all will produce nicely and make nice long tops. I am getting some fruitiness with these gals. Trichs coming on nicely too! I dont have much Sativa experience but this is so much fun!

Shigg - Up spraying to once a week or every 3-4 days. I have a Fruit Punch balling up right now, it took 3 sprays over 16 days. It's coming on strong too.

This was a 5:1 dilution. It gave very minor spotting on the lowest leaves, looked like Ca def.

Some strains seem harder than others. Dark Devil was easy. HSO Blue Dream was hard and we collected very little. Fruit Punch seems to be going well, we'll see when balls are mature.

I've made some DIY CS for home use. Next seed project I'm going to try the CS again.

What are you guys using instead of CS? I've been spraying our DDA for 2 or 3 times a day and today is day 17. How long did it take for sacs to show up on your DDA?

Nismo I was using Silver Thiosulfate. Its what most breeders use. You mix sodium thiosulfate and silver nitrate to get a working solution. I didnt get male flowers for about 2 weeks bu then they were all over like buds made of balls.

Damn brother! Absolutely epic! Not a single shitty plant in that whole room. I love the twisters and pineapple fields. They are my favourites. That twister especially. It is obvious why you have held on to that strain for so long. Would love to have a strain with a canned pineapple smell. You should try Lemon OG Kush. I think you will like her terp profile. She smells delicious! Lemon/Lime ice cream.
 
Oh man I love lemon lime desserts. With all the rosin I have been pressing I am going to hunt for specific flavors to complete my rosin terp collection. I will have a look at that Lemon OG. Who's it from?

I find that the more experience a person has with the herb, the more they appreciate Sativas.

I find them to be something altogether different and wonderful compared to hybrids.....which I also find wonderful, just not so different.

I have just always loved indicas. I think it is because of the squat style of growing. But even an old dog can learn! These (Columbian Gold x (Carnival x Cotton Candy) are pretty manageable though, especially considering how long I let them grow before flower! I am really interested in planting the seeds I have of Megafauna (Kali Snapple x reworked SSH) and Ms. Universe ((starship x kali mist) x space queen). Looks like my garden is slowly changing from a 55 day grow to a 70 day grow lol. May have to split into a sativa room and an indica room.
 
I grew the Carnival and the Cotton Candy and its CCC cross, so I'm especially interested in the 4Cs. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Apparently, the Colombian genes are strong - the colas are much longer than either of its parents, and the fruity flavors would be new. The Cotton Candy was very sweet and Carnival is more gassy than fruity. CCC did have a stronger fruit profile though.

That's a question I can't answer bud. I was in the hospital. All I know is first pollen was day 24.

Silver Thio was used as Shigg mentioned.

On a somewhat related note, my fruit punch is opening and should be releasing any day, today is day 21 flower/reverse. Hmm, right around 24 days like the DDA. She's bursting with pods. It was a bit faster than I expected. Hope my host plant hurries up and sets flowers. Missed the timing a bit. With my recipe and apply rate, I will need to start the seed host no later than 1 week after the reversal/pollen plant. Could start them at the same time. I staggered two weeks, so I'm a bit behind.

So there's something for you to think about nismo. I'm sure you're looking at those FP thinking you want seeds.

GT I had a female and male CG. I now have CG seeds. I have to check but i think they, your Carnaival x Cotton Candy was pollenated with male CG :)

Biosilver colloidal silver. 240 ppm diluted down to 50 ppm.
