Shiggityflip - Follow The Yellow Brix Road With The Perfect Sun 1000

Wow! That's a quickie!

I grew two Cotten Candy plants from seed outdoors. They were spot on like the bud pics from the Delicious seeds website. It was pretty rainy and foggy late that summer in KY so I had some slight mold issues. I'd say it's pretty mold resistant though.

Flip +37

Things looking pretty good. Had a fan malfunction and the bare bulb scorched a few leaves on the Twisters under the 600W HPS but I think the buds will be fine. Things are amping up and trichomes are coming on full force. That always makes me happy. A few bleach tips under the eshines, that's the price of blurple light. super crop them and it stops the bleaching right in its tracks. When I eventually get everything on the light mover it will ameliorate the problem because I pan to alternate blurple and white light moving over the plants. I am convinced now that white light is how the plant sees light intensity. Plants dont realize how intense blurple can be. Or maybe the green and yellow spectrums are more important for chlorophyll synthesis. In any case, no bleaching under the PS1000 which is white light supplemented with red and blue, IR, UV.

I am finding that the PS1000 is doing well over the four plants, I am curious to see how the yields are affected. As LEDRF pointed out I have 1000+ watts of eshine over the same area as 520 watts of PS1000. So even if the yields end up reduced per plant, I will be looking at yield/area. Still not totallly scientific as I have a mix of phenos. The 4Csins under the PS1000 do not look any smaller than the ones under the eshines. Time will tell.

I am enjoying the new Bluniverse girls. The previous pic was #3 under the eshines and the other is #4 under the Ps1000. As you will see #4 has a much different structure with club headed buds and really thick pistils. #3 has a more spear head shape with thick pistils as well. The scent is different as well with the #3 giving off heavy blueblerry and the #4 giving off vanilla spearmint. So I am hoping both will be keepers like what happened with my Huckleberry Kush pineberry and lavender hash phenos.

Lets start off with Jinxproof's Shangrila.
Shangrila has been tucked behind the Twisters under the 600W HPS. She is a super gangly girl with floppy arms going all over the place. If I grow her again I will have to tomato cage her. I can see already that she is going to be a trichome beast of golfball nugs.

Next up are the Twisters.
I only took pics of one as they look basically identical. Everything looks awesome except the HPS crisped leaves. They are right under the HPS light. The leaves on the PS1000 side do not have any crispiness at all. Sucks that the fan went down but hey, every grow has it's challenges. Reminds me of why environment is so key (thanks Doc Bud!) Still the buds are super soapy with crystals so much that it looks like a glaze.

Next on the list is Dynastygenetics Bluniverse
Dynasty has made a bargain in this plant. The seeds are like $60 for 12. Grab some! Two word prediction...Trichome MONSTER. I can't tell if one pheno is maturing faster than the other as the phenos are different and pistil browning may be due to twister pollen. But I will be stoked if I get some feminized Twisted Bluniverse.

Bluniverse #4
Club head buds and lots of sugar. flowering goes all the way up the branches. This girls smells of vanilla and spearmint right now. Really delectable. Look at her fans in the last pic!

Bluniverse #3
Notice on her the fade is on the lowest fan leaves. This is one of the main reasons that I lollipop growing tips on the bottom 3rd of the plant but leave fan leaves intact. Each day I pull of 2-8 fans that are dried up and yellow off the bottom of each plant. If those leaves weren't there the fans that would yellow would be the ones up top. If you have issues with yellowing upper fans consider leaving the bottom ones on at flip! Lower fans are also closest to the roots, so for fast healthy roots leave the bottom fans on!

Now on to Dynastygenetics Pineapple Fields pheno D (Linda)
Individual buds are smaller this time than when I just had four tops. But this may be a good thing as last time I did get a little mold starting in some of the tops. Those buds got gutted of mold and then pressed for personal rosin use after all mold was removed (by throwing the moldy parts away). She is just starting to foxtail and has a nice even canopy. She has a lot of lower fans left so I am hoping she resists the late bloom stall. Her pineapple juice smell is ridiculous this time. I love just smelling those buds.

Last but not least is the DRZ 4Csins.
I am just loving my Sativa grow this time. These plants are vigorous and strong though they should get the tomato cage next time I grow them also. These plants all love to grow long colas so its going to be a pretty sight in a month. Some have thick pistils and some very thin but they all have javelin shaped buds. Its like a roman phalanx in there. Smells are a mix of fruity with some fuel. Trichomes are just starting to come on nicely.

Thanks for visiting my garden! I apologize for not making the rounds lately. I am so busy that I barely have time to update. Exciting things are hapening in veg too. Maybe I will put out a veg update this week! peace be with all of you and may your gardens be green, your bowls always full, and your buds full of terps!

"White stuff"

Bro, your plants look wonderful!

My particular favorite is Linda. She has some beautiful shape to her buds! They look like little frost villages as deep as the eye can see!

What's more interesting is the fact that each of those girls have their own personality. They all tell such stories by their posture and their desire to reach for the "sun"!!

:bravo:

You're doing something amazing over here and it's beautiful to watch! :riskybusiness:

That bluniverse is killing it in the HB soil. Might have to get my hand on some of those genetics...

That's what stood out for me too - that's a nice crop of trichs on those Bluniverses! :thedoubletake:

Is the other blunivese around the same far along, or does #3 seem to be developing faster?
Its really very hard to tell due to the accidental pollination incident and their different phenotypes. But both have no shortage of trichomes. Unvelievable sugar on these gals.

What's up with all the white stuff on your plants? Friggin' resin factory bro....
IKR? Some dude named Docbud conned me into thinking I could grow super crystally potent big buds with less work and no pH meter. Well I did cut off the handle on a rake so i could step on it and rack my nuts if I ever tried to pH! This guy Docbud should be sued for putting out such nonsense. I blame him for all that crystally crap covering my buds. And my plants stink too much, so much different fruitiness you would think it was a gelato factory. I have to run two 8 inch fans with carbon filters just to keep up. I think I heard him say "He's gonna make America blazed again!"

Thanks so much pigeons, you not only say the nicest things but I know you really read over the posts from the great comments you make. Linda is a super special girl. I did a little more training on her this time, and some day I will do a flux or plant like mono does with her. I also would like to do a 12 Linda grow someday!

At 60 bucks for 12 seeds, EVERYBODY should be running out to get her. I have more Dynasty seeds in stash for this fall. Megafauna, Ms. Universe, and Birds of Paradise. I also have 6 more bluniverse and 6 more pineapple fields.

Do you know how to decide which Dynastygenetics strain to buy? Whatever they have in stock

Fantastic brother!
Thank you Blaze!

You are killing it Shiggs! Those Sativas!

I have not really ever been a sativa guy but I am learning. Next watering session I have a lot of staking to do. and next grow I want to get some tomato cages. Can't wait to see your PS500!

So sick Shiggity!! Just rippin it up man and WTF day 36!!? Crazy hehe

Really interested on your thoughts about the PS1k at the end of this run, it looks to be doing you right so far man :thumb:

My thoughts so far are that I love it. no burning, great coverage, easy to see and take pics of the plants, and NO bleaching (hash tips). And the plants under her are giving off great terpenes. I wish I had one more. I would alternate 2 eshines and PS1000 all on a mover. 2 ES/1 PS1000/2ES/1 PS1000/2ES. Now that would rock the house.

All I can say is :bravo: and :surrender:

It's like a damn snow globe exploded in there.

Thank you so much Nismo. I am grinning ear to ear.

That's what stood out for me too - that's a nice crop of trichs on those Bluniverses! :thedoubletake:
Huck Kush, Pineapple Fields, Bluniverse, it seems EVERY dynasty strain I have sprouted produces tons of trichs and brings them on early. Professor P really has a handle on selecting and manipulating genetics. The megafauna strain I am popping next is a cross of Kali Snapple( kali mist x (snowbud x pineapple)) and SSH f4, a rework of Mr. Nice's SSH. pics of that have me drooling!!!!!

And no male flowers on the cotton candy crosses Graytail. Thanks t=for the warning, I am keeping my eyes peeled!

Guy sounds like a bastard. He doesn't believe in compost or pH? No wonder your plants are so screwed up.

You and me both. I should have everything this week hopefully. Keep smashing man. Those are remarkable plants.
