Thanks for the info Bandit! For the price of like $230 with free shipping, you get the 5 bag/5gallon system and the washer. That's really not so bad in the scheme of things. And with the plastic, I'm sure you won't get a lifetime of use, but it should definitely pay for itself a few times.

that is a really good deal w/ the 5 gallon bags. The one gallon bags i have I bought long before I bought the washer and they're real small. The 5 gallon would make it easier to work with.
if it broke after a few runs i would probably buy another from the same guy. As long as it produces more than it's worth it's all gravy.
Kinda like good light bulbs. Yeah $90 for a bulb is pricey but if that bulb can grow several grand worth of hi grade over it's life it's well worth the investment! :ganjamon:

A New toy!!

Thanks to an awesome black Friday sale at a local grow shop I scored a wicked new toy for the grow room!
I've built my own aero cloners before but now that I have my hands on a pro model i can see where my diy's were coming up a bit short.

Just finished reading the whole journal. That was fun too!

I now need one of those machines. Kabul Bazaar, Nepalese Temple Balls and Red Lebanese were some of my favorite things. Like Oprah, I gave them out to everybody.

The machine does make life easier!! Instead of wearing out my drill and making a big mess I get to sit back, blaze a doobie and laugh as the washer scrubs the trim.
I also want to try washing a bag of trim several times to see if there's even more to squeeze out of it after the initial washing!

Week 6 of bloom update

This crop is nearing the end now!
The entire garden is a bit overnuted so the flush will begin a bit early with the next waterings.
As for yield I think I've squeezed about as much as I can out of it and now it's just a matter of ripening up.
Some plants like the LAW are about a week behind and then a couple of the OG that I let get big to try supercropping are also behind about a week or two.
For the supercrop thing I dont get it. Maybe I did it wrong IDK but the sc plants yields will be pathetic compared to the plants I let grow au natural.
So far with every plant (4) that I've tried this the results have been dismal. With that my attempts at sc are over from here on out. To me it just seems like a reason to manhandle and abuse plants with idea that the buds will be bigger but the results of the abuse say otherwise.
I'll be sticking with my "handle the plants as little as possible" philosophy because it has done so well for me to this point.

This has been one helluva crop! The move to hydro from soil has treated me very well. This will easily be my best indoor haul and it compares to a few of my outdoor hauls too.
However this is only the beginning my friend!!
As soon as these girls finish a full crop of OG Kush will fill the room.
Except this time the cool tubes will be dumped in favor of two Melon Head reflectors from Advanced Nutrients.
With the 8" cool tubes inside these reflectors I can move a larger volume of air to cool them compared to the 6" cool tube and I should get way better coverage over the small footprint from a regular cool tube.
This should get very interesting!!

Another home run Bandit,your going to need a truck scale to weigh them.

I hear you on the super cropping, i've tried it, i have'nt seen much advantage.
The last six i grew i let them go,they were the best yeild yet.

The one you have there are pretty as a fine woman.:goodjob::lot-o-toke::ganjamon::rollit::yahoo:

Yeah there's something to be said for natural beauty!
Maybe I'm crazy but I would much rather have a cola the size of my arm than small J shaped buds on the tops of my plants :ganjamon:

The MelonHeads are super sweet! I'm really excited about finally installing some really bad ass reflectors. My cool tubes are good but they're not great. The foot print seems to be uneven with my cool tubes. The best way for me to describe it would be to compare the footprint to the numbers on a clock. From the 10 o'clock to the 5 o'clock position there's great coverage but the coverage from 6 to 9 is poor if that makes any sense.
I've already started a review thread in the product reviews but it will still be a few weeks before they see action.
The cords on the Melonheads are for Sun System type plug ballasts. I had to buy the Sun System to Hydrofarm adapters so i can plug them into my HF ballasts. I could have easily cut the cords and spliced a HF connector in but I went ahead and got the adapters just in case I need to call AN on the lifetime guarantee of these reflectors. I'm sure they would not take them back if I cut & spliced the cords.

Total sense thats why i got rid of my cool tubes shitty coverage. Switched to adjusta wings which are like no other for coverage. But still miss aircooled lites hence the melon heads .No i can watch your grow and see the diff. ;) i believe AN has a new ballast out to go with those melon heads .I'M experimenting with vertical and no shade see what happens ,thanks :nicethread:

This plant is staked & tied due to the weight of the buds. At harvest this plant may pull close to two oz. She is only about 25"-30" tall

Perfect size plant for my space. Thinking of using the chips to start replacing perlite and the small air pots for seedlings and clones. Moving on from there to somewhere. :rollit:

I have yet to rewash the trim. I have it stored in my freezer right now along with a 5 gallon bucket of small bud & frosty trim and a big garbage bag full of trim. I really need to get my ass in gear and start processing the stuff 'cause i'm out of room in the deep freeze and I have this harvest coming only a week or two away!
