Sensi and The Bandit - A Grapegod, OG Kush & Mutant LA Woman Journal

Thanks for checking out my J Saturn!!
I have yet to rewash the trim. I have it stored in my freezer right now along with a 5 gallon bucket of small bud & frosty trim and a big garbage bag full of trim. I really need to get my ass in gear and start processing the stuff 'cause i'm out of room in the deep freeze and I have this harvest coming only a week or two away!
:peace:

And, on top of that, it's deer season :)

This is getting good, thanks Bandit :thumb:

Today I finally got the finishing touches on the veg station upgrades!
I considered rebuilding the cab for an all new set up but I decided to reconfigure the existing set up and add a few things to it.
Now the vegging is split into three seperate stations. There is a table top cloning set up, a 1.5' x 3' x 5' tent for two mothers, and the main veg cab featuring an e&f TurboGarden.
The cloning station is under a 2' 4 tube T5HO and the TurboGarden is under a 2' 8 tube T5HO. The mother tent has a 2' 4 tube T5HO w/ two 2' single T5HOs mounted vertical and one 2' single mounted diagonally

lol yeah R2 has been retired! He had a good err great run though! every clone I stuck in him rooted but his capacity of six was just too low for the operation. I need twelve each time I take clones so I had to go for a bigger unit.
I was about to build a bigger cloner then Black Friday came along and the EZ Cloner came on sale for less than half of regular retail so I snatched it up! It is one bad mamma jamma and I cant wait to use it!
Kinda has a Darth Vader vibe to it lol!
I'll probably load it up and fire it off this weekend.

Mr.Bandito..

I understand,, but guessing he will always have a place among the Ranks somehow.. lol.. And that was an AWESOME Score on Black Friday,, VERY NICE.. !! .. Cant wait to see what you think of it.. Ive got one of the DIY Mystic Cloners (Thank You Mr.JohnnyBtreed),, and still find myself just throwing the Clones in a Dome Ole School Style and letting them do their own thing.. lol.. ..

Much Love and Respect to you and yours,, my Friend.. ..

My friend you never know about 'ol R2! He has plumbing built in and it would be very ez to turn him into an ebb & flo or maybe one of those giant Waterfarms.
Dont be surprised if he makes another cameo doing something crazy on 4/20!

As good of a deal I got on the EZ Cloner I think my best score came on Cyber Monday.
Radio Shack emailed me their promo and right there at the top was this lil' dandy for only $15 w/ free shipping!!

IMG_10518.JPG

Well it took a while to finally get here but this Kill A Watt meter has me very excited!! The Radio Shack deal was super sweet considering these meters run $40 at the hydro shop!
I cant wait to get the low down on my actual power consumption!
From the UFOs to my can fans, everything will get tested and I'll post the results here! I'll even get to test Sun System vs Hydrofarm T5s with the same number of tubes!!
My local hydro shop said i was more than welcome to test the display lights & blowers in the shop to help find the most cost efficient gear before I buy!
This could be some outstanding knowledge for me to really zero in on making my garden as productive as possible!! :yahoo:

:peace:

Mr.Bandito..

I hear you on R2.. !! .. Ill be keeping my Eye out for him as usual.. lol

And the KillaWatt Meter,, well Im kicking myself in the ASS over that now.. And now Im Ordering one off of FleaBay along with a LuxMeter out of Curiousity.. ..

Much Love and Respect to you and yours,, Brother.. ..

lol No worries Bro!! I didnt even think of checking ebay. They too have some really good deals compared to the local shop here. I just saw one for about $21 which is a nice deep discount.
I'll have to check out the lux meters too. Right now my meter is my fist...
I figure if my colas are as fat as my fist the lighting has some pretty good firepower :)

I Love Fat Chicks!

Some good 'ol danky porn! These big girls are getting real close now! the bloom cab is just a big stinky jungle of bud. The buds are super heavy and dense.
I'm also seeing some foxtailing which could be from some erratic temps lately. Temps have been jumping from the 30's to the 80's for my fresh air injection so a few times my grow room has been in the 50s during lights out and as cool as 70 at lights on. Using timers to control the air under these types of swings is tedious.
I'm thinking of trying to use my thermostat control switch on the light blower to see what kind of temps I can maintain before the next crop goes in the cab

Nice job Mr. Bandito... that AG looks outer spacey :grinjoint:

Whole house fan thermostats are about 25 beans at the box stores... might be accurate enough?

Great info HB!!
I have one of these types of thermostats already in the cab ready for action but I still have it wired up for cooling.

thermostat.jpg

They're for greenhouses and they're basically the same thing as what CAP or Green Air makes but it waterproof & much less expensive.
Right now I have it controlling the big cool down fan but it never needs to kick on with the cold air injection.
I want to unplug the fan and plug in the light exaust blower so the lights can heat up the cab and then be cooled when it gets to 75.
I'm still debating on whether or not to plug the cool/fresh air injection on the same circuit or continue to use a timer to kick it on & off...

:scratchinghead: Best thing is probably do both and check the temp swings. We're supposed to freeze tommorow so I'll get it wired up for Winter :geek:

With HVAC stuff, usually the goesinta turns on the goesoutta, like in a conditioned crawl space. Yours is just backwards :)

What's your fresh air injector? Inline dampered fan? I would think that would work best to come on w/ the exhaust fan.

But now you have me thinking of looking for a passive dampered intake that would work from negative pressure like an exhaust fan, or a door opening and closing... hmmm. Thanks

:peace:

edited to say I found one:

Tamarack Cape Backdraft Damper - 6 Inch Duct

Here's the fresh/cold air blower. 170cfm inline eco plus blower set to run for 5 minutes every 25 minutes right now but that's for when the outside air is warm. Since it getting cold outside it's turning my growroom into a fridge at lights off.
On another note an interesting thing is that the stamped wattage of the blower is 90 watts but the meter says it only pulls 76

000_0345.JPG

I also have a small 4" duct booster I could swap out for the winter. I think it's only like 40 cfm.

I should also note that i have central heating & air blocked to my grow room so that's why outside temps have such an impact in my room.
I pull in the fresh air and then either try to heat with the lights in the Winter or cool it with a small window unit ac in the Summer.
It's just a major pita because the Summer settings are to move lots of air very fast and in the Winter the fresh air just needs to trickle in.

Maybe you don't really need an intake fan for winter, just run the duct where you want? Something like that one way damper valve I showed would only open needed. Yeah summer and winter temp control is like... well... night and day!

Good Luck

That could work too! I would think that if the exaust blower ran long enough it might be able to create a pull on a passive intake....
Now you got the hamster in my noggin spinnin' the wheel lol! :)

WoW Brother.. Just F@CKING WOW.. !! !! .. Those Ladies are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS.. !! !!

Much Love and Respect to you and yours Sir.. ..

Thanks Dawg!!
I know I did something right when I make you curse!! :)

You can also buy a plug in thermostat online for around $50. They are generally marketed towards use with space heaters.

Thanks for checking in Smoke!!
I think I'll try putting the light exaust on the thermostat and a small duct fan on a timer to have a gentle push of fresh air.
I'm also going to add a full room exaust on a timer to suck out humidity & odor. I was doing all the exaust thru the lights but now with them on a thermostat I'll need a back up exaust to cover the other variables when the lights are not being exausted.
