Thanks for the advice on the bat guano Mutt. Gotta figure out how much to actually use. Don't think I'll be using it for this grow though now. Not at this stage, it seems rather silly. Next time!

Well, they are looking good. Going by what their time span to flower should be, these girls are meant to be ready to harvest in just over 3 weeks time. I snipped off a little sugar leaf today, and took it into the front room, brought it under the table lamp, and used my loupe. I DEFINATELY can see alot better than tryna use loupe under HPS light with girls in tent and leaf still attached. Yea, I did try that twice. *rolls eyes*

I could see the trichs properly in all their glory, gorgeous globules on a stick looking things LOL I would say, after a proper look, the trichs are clear to cloudy (mostly cloudy) and I saw 1, yes only 1 amber trich. Hmm now wondering whether to push them a while longer due to my penchant for couch lock. It's a balancing act though, because I wanna pump the nutes into them for as long as poss. It's not all for me though sadly, and not all like to be horizontal all day on a sofa.

So, just for laughs, I took some pics to show ya. I opened up my grinder today, took it apart, cause it was getting difficult to turn. I could not believe my eyes when I saw what was contained within the bottom section of it. It was chock-a-block with the best stuff, and I could have SWORN I only cleaned it out a little while back too. Cannot be sure though, I might have missed a compartment of it. I have never had my grinder as full as this.

3 weeks sounds perfect, im so excited for you...dontcha just love it when your on the home stretch and you know that bud can now be calculated as part of your stash. I check my trichs under my hps all the time...but then ill spend hours in my room just to be sharing air with them, reading or tidying or fussing them, lol

1 amber trich sounds sexy! thats me over the moon, i would cut now, tonight and with a big fat grin =D im pretty sure in 3 weeks it will be as you want it...I would give it this new week for food, next week a low feed (somewhere on this forum is a thing about a light feed being more effective at flushing than zero feed oO maybe like dieting then ) and then their final week in a cool dark place with wind and no liquid.

I have never seen such a sight =( i dont use a grinder, i like to dry mine a tad more than other people and i just crumble it with my fingers....its an art, lol. After seeing that tho i may get a grinder just to end up with a pile like that! ill share weed with my mates and keep that for myself

I just don't know where the f*** it all came from, it's a mystery. I have been adding it to my joints just like I would weed but *so* sparingly. I think you are SPOT on about introducing it to cookery. Much better idea, man. My Dad had said before that he would love some weed in a yoghurt, but when I asked him if he would like a little of that in some he declined. Said he'd gone off the idea altogether. LOL I think I'm gonna knock up a banana loaf, of course, with an added extra spice all of it's own.

I am in a dilemma, I am unsure whether to smoke mine as soon as it's done and dried, OR... be a patient girl and cure it properly, and in the mean time, work my way through the stash I have here already and maybe buy some more when it's available elsewhere. . . I cut a tiny pop corn bud off today as well, that's been drying since this afternoon naturally, so as soon as it's do-able, I'll do it and try it. LOL

Ha ha and I'm very tempted too, but they don't quite feel "cooked" to me, set aside my love for couchlock, these babies should "by rights" have 3 weeks more to go, so perhaps... "by rights" to get my desired couch lock it could be 4 weeks more... (nah, the other half would DESPAIR if he had to wait any longer)

I alternate between your style and using my grinder. I like to use the grinder cause it's good for when I'm feeling lazy, I crush enough up for about 4 joints and I just keep sprinkling it in til it's gone. Someone once told me though how I should not use one, as it robs the weed of all the good stuff(?) I guess they are referring to all that shit in my grinder So it's not lost after all, just becomes something for a rainy day or an extra special treat.

Downside for me to crumbling in by hand, is the fact that I have a thing about the laptop keyboard and PS3 controller getting sticky. No matter how dry it is, can't get rid of that lovely sticky. LOL

After seeing that tho i may get a grinder just to end up with a pile like that! ill share weed with my mates and keep that for myself

Go for it. Ha ha I do love my grinder, I bought it in Amsterdam when I visited back in .. hmm (AWFUL memory) 2009 I believe... I wouldn't be without it.

there is nothing stopping you plucking the 'communal' harvest when its like 10% amber and only leaving on your personal till it IS cooked how you want it.


CURE IT!!
the ONLY reason not to give your weed a propper cure is a desperate need for supplies. cure the lot till you run out, the only take out what you need at the time, if your sense-ible you could perma cure 1 plant in every grow to build up a staggered crop that can hit the "cured for a whole year".

eventually you can start increasing the amount of plants you cure that long and then start using it.

if done correctly, this will only cost you a small investment of your yeild per crop untill you can match output of fully cured to input and somewhere to store it.

curing does make it stronger and smoother.

How you find Bio Grow? On paper its great but my house plants like peppers say otherwise. Root juice is the tits with its sea weed and all mix is great with its bio mix stimulating microbe activity, just hear bad things on the Base npk bio grow, what do you think??

True that, thing is, only space we have to do all this shit is the tent, so I am gonna have to let it all dry together while the next lot germinates in airing cupboard, also got a little T5 in there for when they "hatch"

Yes it does! I have only recently started doing this and I find it makes ALL the difference. So to hell with those who say curing is all a myth or whatever.

They look great. Lots off horrid yellow leaves now scattered about but then... it's the end of their 7th week in flower, so, I aint worrying bout things like that. With regards to the BioBizz, as said before, I have absolutely nothing to compare it to, never grew in my life before, and I am going to keep using the BioBizz til it runs out, I hate waste and can't afford it. My plants seem to like the stuff, so if they like it, I do Not to say I am never gonna experiment with other lines of nutes, and if I did I think I would dabble with Canna.

i looked upon grow tents with envy when i first started, now i dont know if ill ever bother, all they seem to do is restrict your space and only for a tiny bit of extra enviromental efficiency.

wont be long and ill get rid of my bed grow and just clean up the room, put something waterproof over the carpet and hang my lights where i need them.

ok granted you can get a little bit more light per watt and its a little easier to manage other variables...but if you can get an entire room fairly well dialed in then life is just easier, grow massively more and have a better time accessing plants once you got a bunch of them.

im lucky, my grow room has the attic hatch and cold water tank up there. if i get my soil dialed in like i hope, then im going to get a drip irrigation system to self water.

after a few grows ill afford CMH bulbs and they cover all stages of grow better than just about everything.

so here is my future grow plan after my conveyerbelt style.

mix my soil.
lay out my pots and irrigation, drop 3 seeds in each pot (just makes sure one makes it, others can be culled if they make it too)
then turn the lights on 24/0 and walk away.

if done right i should not need to touch anything till flowering time...and all i have to do then is a handfull of my top dressing per pot...then back to waiting till harvest time =D

i dont want to study other peoples stuff yet in direct comparison as it may bias my own thinking.

there is some quote about science observations being inaccurate BECAUSE your running the observations, lol

same thing with the defoliation really. i came to it before bassmans guide and because its a self discovery, ive already used it and planned to use it in ways they never did, even with 30 years of apparent experience, yet im coming up with like an idea a week on the matter, lol

I quite agree, and if indeed we had more space than a one bedroom apartment, it would be a whole different ball game. Things may change in the future, but at the moment, the apartment it is, and the tent is just perfect for the current set up. If I had my way I would fill an old warehouse full of 'em But that IS the stuff of dreams. . .

Well, it was meant to be the girls watering day today, but I went into their tent, they fluttered their eye lashes at me and explained they didn't want a drink until tomorrow. Their bellies were still full from the last watering. Their soil is becoming a little tired and less airy as it was I suppose. Star told me that she fancied 5 minutes outside of the tent though so she could pose a bit, as someone asked me how they look yesterday. Here she is, and a few of them all after in their home.

I think I am gonna give them a reduced nute hit, a last one, around about 26th December.

ive been a stoner since the very first time i even smelled the stuff, but other than one seed a lifetime ago that got nowhere i have only been growing for the last 20 months of my life (FYI this is my 420th month of life ).

and only in the last 6 months or so have i decided to abandon other forms of work and make this my career. So im like a kid thats just been handed the keys to a candy store and been given a single rule to follow...the more i can eat, the more im allowed to eat, lol.

I got the whole 'get rich or die tryin' attitude now. and you guys...especially the UK guys are pretty much my second family now ( i dont have a social circle at all, i have contacts and 1 best friend) so dont be suprised if i buy you a private garage or something in the future for your growing hobby =D

im gutted the missus dont get stoned with me. some of the best times can be had when its 'just the two of you'. ahh well, we cant have it all...

You are so like me, I love coming on here and reading through people's journals and seeing what's been going on in their lives. I love the internet in general. I find it so much easier than face to face. I have a VERY small circle of friends, only one of who I meet with regularly and feel on the same wave length as. She don't smoke, but she used to. I love to be in the company of my feller, and I also enjoy my own company alot (anti social bitch)
