Seedsman's Purple Ghost Candy Comparative Grow Using Remo Nutrients By Tokin Roll

Thank you for your kind words @StoneOtter and @InTheShed

You are lucky to of started later @InTheShed . That way you can see how much she stretches, which is a lot. The next time I grow PGC I will plan ahead for the amount of stretch she has. I do not know if you judge your plants by flowering time, but you may want to go with a shorter veg period than I did with 7 weeks. She grows fast and wild.

Stay safe and grow well my friends,
Tok..
Flowering time isn't a concern but size definitely is since it's got to get carried through the door twice a day. I might be both topping and flipping much earlier than I usually do!

I am glad I had to wait now to grow mine! I’m starting to rethink a 8-9 week veg with them, even with a net.

Thank you for stopping by @Ke0ncp

@SeedsMan Purple Ghost Candy is so vibrant and and determined on using every inch of space available and still want more. This is a great strain and @SeedsMan did a fell of a job creating it, but a novice would need to understand the veg period and how much it will stretch during the first few weeks of flower to grow it well. Don't get me wrong, this plant will aloud anyone to grow it, but controlling it is another story.

When will you start and how long were you thinking about vegging her?

I’m 7 days in today I think. My original plan was 8-9 weeks in veg. I’ve rewritten that to be 4 weeks in veg and the net going in on week 1 or 2 of flower, after a week of transition. From what I am seeing likely week 1 of flower.

I would recommend that you place the net in mid-veg. How big of a net are you talking about? I need to get over to your grow journal so I can follow and help if needed. I am very busy today so I will tag you tomorrow if I can.

While I have the time I will update the @SeedsMan Purple Ghost Candy.

Still fighting the stretch, but it should be just about over. I had to readjust my lights and super cropping a number of time to accommodate her stretch. Next time I will be ready for this beast, and do a better job of training her to control the stretch. Both my PGC's are very healthy plants which shows that @SeedsMan did a fantastic job on her genetics. Granted @Remo Nutrients and @ViparSpectra also played a roll to her health, but without good genetics she may of not of turned out so well.

The one in the 3x3 tent is just doing it's own thing. I started to qual-line this one but was not able to finish it due to outside circumstances, but I am happy the way she turned out anyways. She looks like she is going to have a lot of (DD) Donkey Dick cola's. I hope so.

4x4 net with 3” holes. 2 plants topped with a little lst.

Thanks for the recommendation!! It’s crazy how big some of these PGC are getting!!

There's an incredible amount of bud on those Ghosts! :woohoo:

Thank you for stopping by and your kind words @Papa OG , @Ke0ncp , @InTheShed and @StoneOtter

If this @SeedsMan Purple Ghost Candy has the purple buds, it is going to be a beautiful plant. She has already started frosting up her leaves as of last week.

I have a few minutes before I pick up my wife from the hospital again.

As you can see this PGC has many bud site and she is just about finished with her stretch period. The bud sites are starting to develop into nice size cola's, which is what I want. She is currently being fed week 3 of @Remo Nutrients schedule with no signs of deficiency what so ever.

So you can see she has grown up enough to touch the two @ViparSpectra XS1500PRO in the tent. I had to modify the light hanger to get every inch of space that was available. Now she is free to do her thing.

I am a little behind so it's time to catch up.

The @SeedsMan Purple Ghost Candy is at the end of stretch, but she seems to be still pushing for more space. This would definitely be a great outdoors plant with her stretch. She is still building bud sites and a lot of them. The one in the 3x3 tent is a beast and getting more difficult containing her in that size tent.

A couple of the top buds are starting to touch the light, so I may need to super crop those ones, if I can not push them aside. Overall a very easy plant to grow, except handle the stretch which is the hardest part of the grow. I would recommend this strain for new grower that want to learn how to training a plant.

Not a loot for me to do at this time except for maybe a little bit of defoliation.

How is it going @StoneOtter

I see you have a couple SIP's going also. I may put one of my @SeedsMan Purple Ghost Candies is for PotM next month. It will depend on how she looks in 30 days from now. I hope she has purple buds, if so she will really standout.

For now there isn't a lot for me to do, I had to rig the @ViparSpectra XS1500PRO up as far as I could in the corners. I had a little bud burn, but I think I have that under control now. I am glad the stretch is over and now is bud building time.

The PGC in my 3x3 tent is going to be a beast, once she starts fattening up. On that note, I am currently feeding week 4 of @Remo Nutrients flowering schedule.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask them.

Hopefully we'll see a bunch of Purple ghosts coming up and competing! There's a lot of nice ones!m Yours are beauties!

In the next months or so we should see many of these beauties that @SeedsMan was kind enough to let many of us here on 420 Magazine play with. I am planning on picking up more of Purple Ghost Candy for future grows, maybe even a scrog net. She would be perfect for it with her stretch.

Could i know please how tall and wide she is? Info for future grow reference. And you mainlined her in the beginning yes?
Thank you for stopping by and how are you doing? Growing anything?

The larger of the two is in a 3x3 tent that is 72" inches high. Currently she is standing about 68 inches tall and I have some of the main cola's tied together to bring them into the center of the tent and away from the light, but she will touch all four ways if I untie her , 36 inch square. The bud manufacturing area where all the action is going on is about 36 inches from top to bottom. I hope this helps answer your question and if you have anymore feel free to ask them.

I guess it's time for an update.

As I mentioned above @SeedsMan Purple Ghost Candy is going for a walk on the wild side. I may need to re-configure my two @ViparSpectra XS1500PRO's in yet another hanging position. Currently I have them as far up in the corner of the tent that is safe, so my options are limited. That's why she has some of her longer cola's tied together, for now.

As you can see in some of the images of the 3x3 this one is very much a sativa dominated plant. Which makes me think I have a good chance at a purple bud plant, but who knows. Time will tell.

Both PGC are currently on week 4 of @Remo Nutrients flower schedule and doing well. The PGC I have in my 2x4 tent has been somewhat of an experiment to control her in a 2x4x4 area. My conclusion is; I would not recommend growing PGC in anything that does not have at least 6 foot of overhead space. Unless of course she is under a net.

edit: The PGC in the 3x3 is being fed three times a day or close to two gallons a head.
