Seedsman's Banana Jealousy Comparative Grow In Progressive DWC By Token Roll

I apologizes for the late response, turned out to be a very busy day.

Anyways, I placed the net down on @SeedsMan Banana Jealousy. Weaving the plant takes time and needs to be checked everyday at least once. I am currently about half way through veg cycle so she got some growing to do before I flip her. She now calls a 5 gallon bucket with a chilling probe home for the net few months. Her solution temp is about 67 degrees with a total ppm's around 650. I will be increasing the ppm's now that the net is in place.

Time for another update.

@SeedsMan Banana Jealousy seems to like the increase of nutrients and averaging 3/4 a gallon daily. She moving right along and getting thick with @Remo Nutrients. I tuck and weave the branches a couple times a day, but I could use a little stretch. Currently she is about half way through veg stage so I have plenty of time for her to grow.

My water temperature has been between 66 and 70 degrees using the chilling probe. With these temperature I still use Hydro-Guard to insure there is no chance of root rot.

Looks pretty thick there. :hmmmm::) Looking good and healthy.:) I usually grow thick, but am trying to thin things out on the two current grows to see what happens. :hmmmm:🤠

Thank you for stopping by @gwhunran

I have been thinning her out every other day. So, I am removing a lot of material to open her up to light and air, but I have notice that I can increase branching and buds sites with defoliation, if done right.

Anyways, it is always a constance battle to control over growth foliage in DWC. The plants just don't want to stop growing. That is what I like about DWC.

Thank again for stopping by and I will make my way over to check out your journal also.

Thank you for stopping by and congratulations on the NotM win for May @Greenvein

Time to see what's going on under the net.

The @SeedsMan Banana Jealousy is a beast. Her branching is quite thick which can make it a little challenging training under the scrog net. I can tell that once I flip her to 12/12 flowering stage she is going to exploded with growth.

She is currently at about 700 ppm's with a solution temp in bucket is about 68 degrees. I am repeating week 4 of @Remo Nutrients schedule for a couple more weeks. The plan is to flip to flower around the end of the month, but we will see.

Time for another update.

I changed her solution today and she is on week 6 of @Remo Nutrients schedule. I must say the @SeedsMan Banana Jealousy is a beast. Her branching is thick and all over the place she is doing very well as far as health go.

Now, @SeedsMan Banana Jealousy is solid genetic and a gem in the ruff. I am still in veg and will be flipping to flower in a couple week. This is where I think some growers may be having issues. I believe what may be happening is possibly adding to much cal-mag and causing a nutrient lockout which comes in the form of calcium deficiency. I believe cal-mag must be added to a DWC solution, but not more then 5ml per gallon

Overall, she has been a very easy to grow; and required very little attention aside from training. @LKABudMan I have not noticed any issues yet, but I use less cal-mag than they recommend. I won't go over 5ml a gallon of solution. Remo nutrients is a solid nutrient line that just needs a little adjustment to the nutrient amount. I know I mentioned it before but this is a solid nutrient line.

Time for an update of @SeedsMan Banana Jealousy.

Everything is going smooth; now much happening except watering and tucking. She has another 10 to 14 days before I flip her to flowering stage. If your wondering why I am waiting to place her in flower; it is because I want to completely fill the 4x4 net which workers out to 16 sq. ft. of canopy. I am hoping for a couple oz's. per square foot, but time will tell. The way the Banana Jealousy looks I believe I can get a kilo out of her.

Currently she is still getting grow nutrients and on the @Remo Nutrients schedule week 6/7. So far no signs of any type of problem and she is growing like a beast.

Everything is going well with the @SeedsMan Banana Jealousy. She is averaging just over a gallon of @Remo Nutrients solution every day. Which is about average for this stage of vegetation; it won't be long now before I place her under 12/12 light schedule. When I flip to flower she will be drinking about 1 1/2 to 2 gallons per day.

Thank you for stopping by @KeithLemon

I have been busy and was not on here a couple days.

Nice tent set up your plant looks good in that net. :thumb: 🍋
Believe it or not she is still in veg for another 10 days or so before I flip her.

The easiest way to tell if I get images before or after training by the amount of net you can see. If I just finished training you will be able to most of the strings in the net. If you can only see the strings on the sides, it means I did not tuck and weave the branches yet.

I am sure everyone knows by now that @SeedsMan did a hell a job on Banana Jealousy. She is a breast under the net. My plan is to flip her around day 60 of veg stage, so I have some work to do to get her really for the transition.

Time for an update.

Thank you for stopping by @KeithLemon

Since my last update a few things have happen. First I finally got around to checking out @SeedsMan Banana Jealousy suggested flowering time. This made me switch to pre-flowering stage; with a 9 to 11 week of flowering time I decided to flip the light schedule to 12/12 and start the transitioning period.

I gave her a solution change on Monday and changed the light schedule on Tuesday. I am hoping this will be finishing up by the end of July. I will also, be flushing the roots of any old nutrients on next solution change. Even though I changed the light schedule it will take an average or 7 days for the plants to transition to flowering stage.

The nutrient solution will stay the same for a couple weeks and then I will slowly start increasing the ppm's. Some thing else I found in my reading about @Remo Nutrients is that it is not advised to use their Natures Candy and Astroflower in some reservoir system, due to a change of clogging the lines. I am in DWC, so I just need to make sure my air stones don't clog.

She has been enjoying the light from my @ViparSpectra KS-5000 LED and we will see if she can fill this net. How do I do this, good question. With the net down and in place the only way to clean the air stones is by flushing. I will be doing this with a little H2O2 in about 3 gallons of RO water and let it run through for a couple hours.
