Seedsman Sponsored Grow: Peyote Wi-Fi By Beez

About six months or so ago I got a phone call from a childhood friend of mine who at the time was living in California. He was calling to tell me that he had gotten married and that a condition of her marrying him was that he gave up growing. She was willing to "allow" :laughtwo: him to still smoke on occasion but no more growing. He said he had gifted all his grow equipment to his buddy/neighbor...….tents, lights, minerals, nutrients, and sadly...…..his seeds. :eye-roll: BUT, there is a but here. He came across a small Tupperware that contained seeds in it. He told me these were gifted to him probably 7 or 8 years ago by a friend of his who worked at a nursery as their breeder. He told me the guy was very good at what he did. He was not sure if they were regular or fem seeds but thought probably regs.

He asked me if I wanted them and I said sure. Fast forward to today. I planted one of the Alien OG seeds awhile ago and just yesterday she FINALLY showed her sex. I was tickled the seed sprouted in the first place and now it turned out to be a gal. I got her up-potted today into a 7 gallon fabric pot. She will replace my Seedsman Original Skunk #1 plant in about two weeks when she is harvested. I measured her right after taking a cut off of her and she is 22" tall so I topped her today. That will be it for the training. The Alien OG is a 50/50 hybrid cross of Tahoe OG X Alien Kush. While growing it gives off a lemon and pine aroma. THC can be quite high at 20%+ and interestingly CBN at 1%.

So I'm at the point where I'll be looking for that lemon/pine aroma because let's face it I got these seeds from someone who has smoked weed since the 70s. He did say the packets were marked so who the heck knows. Definitely some interesting strains in the packet. Here is a quick photo of the Alien OG right after transplanting.

PEYOTE WI-FI UPDATE: Flip + 14 days

She continues to get taller and has definitely started flowering. I am really liking this plant. This is the first plant I've grown in my newest organic soil mix and I think this is going to prove to be a good one. My Seedsman Skunk you see on the left in photo #1 is about 2 weeks from harvest. Her buds are getting really dense although not fattening up much.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

:theband:

I'm thinking I'll harvest my Original Skunk #1 plant on Sunday. Snipped off a test nugget today to check the trichromes close up. I was a little surprised to see amber trichromes smattered about on the bud. My estimate is about 75% milky and 24.894 clear with .106 amber. I don't grow a whole lot of Sativa strains. What I am finding with this plant is that her buds are pretty darn dense for a sativa. I took a couple cuttings and will be really anxious to try growing this strain again now that I am gaining confidence in my organic soil. This plant looked like crap by about week three of flowering but she survived. I can't help but feel the buds would swell more and she would stretch a little more with the new soil I'm using.

Peyote Wi-Fi Update January 1, 2020
Way back when I up-potted the Peyote plant into my new organic soil I quit talking about the second Peyote Wi-Fi plant. Because I was doing a sponsored grow I wanted to be sure I represented @SeedsMan to the best of my ability. To that end I did not toss Peyote Wi-Fi #2 into the compost pile. I up-potted her into Pro Mix as I knew I could grow a nice plant in that medium. So now the secret is out of the bag so to speak. Here are a couple pictures of both plants in the tent together. The Pro-Mix plant in the front left and the organic soil Wi-Fi behind her on the left. Both really starting to flower now. The organic soil plant was about 8 inches taller then the Pro-Mix plant about 2 weeks ago but the PM plant has closed that gap quite a bit. Both are very happy and healthy. The organic plant is just a bit darker green in color then the Pro-Mix plant. Anyhow, Happy New Years to everyone. Enjoy the photos.

Not so much on the Alaskan purple. Came in looking crazy lol.
What do you mean Kismet? Have you got some photos of the Alaskan Purple? I have some of those I haven't grown yet.

I snapped a picture real quick this morning of the Peyote Wi-Fi girls right as the lights came on. They're both looking very happy and healthy with buds forming. I've got the light over them as high as it will go and I fear they may not stop stretching before they get to the light.
