Seedsman Sponsored Grow: Peyote Wi-Fi By Beez

Merry Christmas to you and the beez family! Wifi looks great, and may Santa bring you great seed-making success :).

I never found that autos are lighter feeders than any other plant I've grown, so I treat them all the same.

I think you’re absolutely right. This auto wants high ppm now. Instead of putting the foot on the gas I sort of coasted and she didn’t like that.

I like growing autos.

@Pennywise Happy Holidays to you and your family, Penny!

I was cleaning up my @SeedsMan Original Skunk #1 plant this evening when I accidently pulled a bud off. Not one to be wasteful I went ahead and gave it a quick trim. The Skunk is at flip +51 days today. According to the Seedsman site/description their Skunk should flower about 9 weeks or 63 days. That puts her about 12 days from the breeders harvest window. I looked pretty closely at this bud and saw maybe 35% milky trichromes so that 63 days may not be enough. I'm not one to rush a plant and harvest it early after investing over 3 months in it so I'll have to see how she looks in 2 more weeks. Here is a bud pic from today.

And do you guys remember this little baby Garlic Sherbert plant? Sprouted with both her helmet and worse a tightly wrapped membrane?
Her odds weren't all that good after having to undergo two surgeries within 24 hours. But I'm happy to report that she pulled through and I got her transplanted into some Pro-Mix in a solo cup yesterday. Here she is this morning.

I'm hoping you guys can give me some pointers and tips on the best method to speed along the early growth of a plant. I have three clones coming sometime in the next 7-10 days or so and I am wanting to grow those together with this Garlic Sherbert seedling and the Katsu Pre 98 Bubba seedling both of which are about a week old. I'm thinking of going from the solo cups straight to 2 gallon pots when they sprout their 3rd set of permanent leaves.

I'm just wanting to try to get their size on par with the three clones so they are similar in size when I eventually flip them.

Yeah, I may have to just accept the fact that the seedlings won't be able to keep up with the clones. I can always take a clone from each of the 5 plants and grow THEM out together. Just flower their moms as they are ready.

that’s interesting... it reminds me of something I once read that said seeds always grow best in the ground and clones always grow best in containers. Maybe by getting your seedling in a big container fast she’ll be able to catch up?

I do the clear solo inside a red solo outside so I can check on the roots. Once I have a decent amount of roots against the side of the clear cup I transplant into these (approximately) 1/3 gallon pots. I keep them in these till I have a good number of roots on the sides then move to a 1 gallon, then 2 gallon, then final pot. That is how I typically do it.

I've never really been in a hurry with any plants. My set-up is small. I start either a new clone or a new seed every 2 weeks. I keep an auto on hand to temporarily fill a hole in my flowering tent if needed till a photo-period is ready to take it's place.

Laid back, just how I like it.
